Objective To observe the results of bone bolt crews in treatment of the haplo-detached distal tibiofibular joint. Methods The haplo-detached distal tibiofibular joint were fixed with bone bolt in 7 patients.Their outcomes were evaevaluated according to Mast and Teipner criteria and X-ray.Results All 7 patients were followed up from 12 to 36 months. All were assessed as good, and no fair or poor cases were found. Conclusion Bone bolt fixation was believed to be a good method to treat the haplo-detached distal tibiofibular joint with simple operation, beared shear force and control of brew tightress and was helpful in weight loading and functional exercises in the earlier period after operation,so bone bolt fixation was good in practical value in clinc.
2.Practical value of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in unstable angina diagnosis
Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine 2012;21(1):70-73
Objective To investigate the value of magnetic resonance imaging of heart in diagnosis of unstable angina pectoris. Methods A total of 24 patients with unstable angina pectoris including 15 male and 9 female confirmed by coronary angiography (CAG) were enrolled. All 24 patients were scanned by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging ( CMR),and then the analyses of the first pass images and the delayed contrast enhancement images were carried out for comparison. The findings of cardiac structure, cardiac function, myocardial ischemia, myocardial necrosis, myocardial edema were taken for answering to the images made by echocardiography (UCG) and coronary angiography (CAG) linked with conventional examinations for the diagnosis of coronary disease. Results Compared with the UCG,CMR provided more detailed information about the right ventricle, and the information about left ventricular structure and function given by UCG was very good consistent with that offered by CMR,and CMR could detect myocardial ischemia, myocardial edema and the myocardial necrosis, which were of good consistency with findings often observed by conventional inspection methods. Conclusions Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is of high value in diagnosis and evaluation of unstable angina pectoris and is far superior over other conventional methods for examinations of unstable angina pectoris.

Objective To investigate the effects of the compound T0 extracted from Tripterygium wilfordii, a traditional Chinese herb, in comparison with those of cyclosporin A(CyA), on down- regulating the expression and activities of IL- 1 and IL- 2. Methods The cellular reactive systems of peritoneal macrophage (rat)- thymocytes (rat), and spleen cells (rat)- CTLL- 2 (mouse) were set up. The technique of 3H- TdR incorporation was applied. Results The production of IL- 1 and IL- 2 were significantly inhibited by T0 and CyA. The activities of IL- 1 and IL- 2 were down- regulated by T0,rather than by CyA. Conclusion T0 and CyA are potent inhibitors of the production of IL- 1 and IL- 2. Effects of T0 on the activities of IL- 1 and IL- 2 are different from those of CyA.

Objective To investigate the effects of propofol anesthesia on cognitive function of aged rats. Methods Ninety-six male aged SD rats (16 months) were collected and given propofol anesthesia via tail vein catheter. At 7, 30, and 90 d after anesthesia, fear conditioning experiment was performed to test long-term memory of the aged rats (12 rats at each time point, total 36 rats). At 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 d after anesthesia, spontaneous alternation in Y-maze experiment was performed to test spatial working memory of the aged rats (12 rats at each time point, total 60 rats). Results There were no statistical differences in long-term memory at 7, 30, and 90 d after anesthesia between the propofol group and control group (P>0.05). While spatial working memory of aged rats in propofol group was impaired at 1 and 2 d after anesthesia (P<0.05), working memory of aged rats in propofol group was normal at 3, 4, and 5 d after anesthesia and there were no statistical differences between the experiment and control group (P>0.05). Conclusions These results indicate that clinical dose propofol anesthesia will not induce long-term memory impairment of aged rats, although it impairs spatial working memory of aged rats within 48 h after anesthesia.
