1.Relationship between serum Angiopoietin-1 level and the onset, the severity and the prognosis at 90 d of acute cerebral infarction

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum Angiopoietin-1 ( Ang-1 ) level and the onset, the severity and the prognosis at 90 d of acute cerebral infarction.Methods The level of serum Ang-1 was measured in 132 acute cerebral infarction patients ( case group ) and 108 healthy controls ( control group ) .The relevant clinical data was also collected.NIHSS was assessed at admission.The severity of the condition was defined according to the NIHSS score.NIHSS score <5, 5 -15 and ≥16 were defined as minor, moderate and severe condition, respectively.mRS was assessed at 90 d after admission.mRS≤2 was defined as good outcome and otherwise defined as poor outcome.Results Compared with control group, proportion of patients who had a history of smoking, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and atrial fibrillation were significant higher, serum Ang-1 concentration was significant lower ( all P<0.05 ) .Logistic analysis showed that serum Ang-1 level and a history of diabetes mellitus were associated with the occurrence of acute cerebral infarction ( all P<0.01 ) .The serum Ang-1 level in minor, moderate and severe condition patients was (1.12 ±0.35) ng/ml, (0.96 ±0.39) ng/ml and (0.76 ±0.49) ng/ml.There were significant differences among them ( P=0.003) .There was a significant relationship between the severity and the serum Ang-1 level ( r=-0.267, P=0.002 ) .Compared with good outcome patients, the poor outcome patients had significant higher NIHSS score and higher proportion of a history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, atrial fibrillation, and lower serum Ang-1 concentration ( all P<0.05 ) .NIHSS score and serum Ang-1 concentration at admission had a significant relationship with 90 d outcome of acute cerebral infarction patients ( all P<0.01) .Conclusion Serum Ang-1 level was lower in acute cerebral infarction patients and it had significant relationship with the onset, severity and 90 d outcome of acute cerebral infaration.
2.Constructing tissue-engineered bladder by vascular endothelial growth factor nanoparticle-bacterial cellulose composite scaffold with various kinds of cells

BACKGROUND:Traditional bladder repair methods have many problems such as damage to normal organ function and many postoperative complications. Tissue engineering technology provides a new way for bladder repair.
OBJECTIVE:To explore the feasibility of constructing tissue-engineered bladder with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) nanoparticle-bacterial celulose (BC) composite scaffold with rabbit lingual epithelial cels andtonguemuscle cels.
METHODS:Rabbit lingual epithelial cels andmuscle cels were successively implanted onto the BC scaffold (control group) and VEGF-BC scaffold (experimental group). Six rabbits were taken to make bladder defect models and randomized into two groups: experimental group implanted with VEGF-BC scaffold carrying autologous lingual epithelial cels andtonguemuscle cels,and control group implanted with BC scaffold carrying autologous lingual epithelial cels andtonguemuscle cels. Specimens were taken from the two groups for urographic evaluation and histological examination at 3 months after implantation. Meanwhile, the urodynamic tests were performed.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The experimental group showed the relatively complete bladder, and the control group showed a smal-area filing defect of the bladder. The maximum bladder capacity and bladder compliance in both two groups were decreased after implantation, especialy significantly in the control group (P< 0.05). In the control group, it failed to build a complete epithelial cel layer, and the muscle layer and microvessels were formed a little. In the experimental group, the complete epithelial cel layer was formed, and a larger amount of muscle layers and capilaries appeared. These findings indicate that the VEGF-BC scaffold carrying lingual epithelial cels andtonguemuscle cels can be used to construct thetissue-engineered bladder.
3.Biomimetics of crystal texture in dental enamel prism by self-assembly oligopeptide

Objective: To evaluate the possibility of self-assembly oligopeptide(T2) for dental enamel biomimetics, especially for the prism’s crystal texture since it could prompt calcium phosphate precipitated in gel carrier. Methods:SEM (Scaning electron microscope) and TEM (Transmission electron microscope) were used to observe the morphologic presentation and ED(Electron diffraction) to crystal texture comparing with the human molar enamel powder. Results: (a) Flake-like and needle-like octacalcium phosphate precipitated in the gel carrier with self-assemble oligopeptide(T2). They transformed into rod-like hydroxyapatite crystals gradually in the following 2-4 weeks. (b) The rod-like hydroxyapatite may arrange or grow into bundles which are similar to the human enamel prisms in both appearance and size. (c) The rod-like hydroxyapatite showed polycrystal while the enamel prisms showed monocrystal under examination of ED. Conclusion:The self-assemble oligopeptide(T2) could regulate the speed of nucleation and crystallization of hydroxyapatite in morphology and crystalline size. Thus, the self-assembly oligopeptide and the gel carrier mineralization system could be primarily applied in biomimetic use for the crystallization of hydroxyaptite in dental prism in vitro.
4.Survey on satisfaction degree of preventive medicine undergraduates on tutorial system

Objective To survey on satisfaction degree of preventive medicine undergraduates on tutorial system and to improve the effects of tutorial system.Methods Totally 73 students of preventive medicine,who would graduate in 2012,were asked to fill the questionnaires by themselves.Main contents of questionnaires include effects,satisfaction score,expectations and reality benefits,requirements for the tutors and problems of the tutorial system.Chi-square was used to test the differences between expectations and reality benefits and the significance level was set as P < 0.05.Results More than half of the students thought that the effect of tutorial system was general while 43.8%students thought good and excellent.Percentages of satisfaction score over 50,over 80 and over 90 were 75.3%,41.1% and 12.3%,respectively.Statistical analysis shown that the real benefits from research activities were more than expectation (P < 0.001),while the real benefits from tutor's academic encouragement,job guidance and life values were lower than expectation (P =0.026,P =0.003,P =0.010).Students expected to have more opportunities with the professors in the future.However,there were 17.8% students hardly attended the activities of tutorial system,in which lack of understanding of tutorial system was the main reason and without enough time was another reason.Conclusions Students basically satisfies with tutorial system and the satisfaction degree needs to be improved.Roles of tutorial system should be fully strengthened by the management department,tutors and students.
5.The correlation between emotional identification and emotional intelligence of adolescent metham-phetamine addicts

Objective To explore the characteristics of emotional identification and emotional intel-ligence of the adolescent methamphetamine addicts,and analyze the correlation between the emotional identi-fication and emotional intelligence.Methods 47 adolescent methamphetamine addicts ( experimental group) and 47 healthy volunteers ( control group) were tested by a self-designed questionnaire,Baron Emo-tional Quotient Inventory ( EQ-i) and experiments of emotional identification.Results The scores of correct responses of positive mood and negative mood of the adolescent methamphetamine addicts ( respectively 28.62±10.60,50.83±18.58) were lower than the healthy volunteers (respectively 32.91±7.30, t=-2.29, P<0.05;62.47±15.75, t=-3.28, P<0.01) .There were significant differences on the sense of responsibility ( re-spectively 33.28±3.79,36.47±4.31;t=-3.81, P<0.01) and impulse control ( respectively 24.81±6.03,30.11 ±5.65;t=-4.40, P<0.01) between the adolescent methamphetamine addicts and the healthy volunteers. While there was no difference on the total score of emotional intelligence between the two groups( t=-0.66, P>0.05) .In the dimension of emotional intelligence,the individual components,the general state of mind,the management of pressure,and the adaptive composition were related to the emotional identification( r 1=0.39, r 2=-0.33, r 3=-0.39, r 4=0.32) .Conclusion The adolescent methamphetamine addicts had some de-fects on the emotional identification and lack of responsibility and impulse control ability.The emotional in-telligence had influence on their emotional identification.
6.In vitro biomineralization of self-assembly oligopeptide T2.

Oligopeptide T2, a kind of PA (Peptide Amphiphile) molecule, which could build up nano-fiber by self-assembly was designed and synthesized in this study. And the double-diffusion gel system was applied on this molecule to investigate its biomineralization features in vitro. The results showed that T2 could obviously reduce the hydroxyapatite (HA) formation period. And HA was found to possess the characteristics of non-crystalline by analysis of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). These findings point to the conclusion that the negatively charged zone in T2 might make this molecule have the function of promoting HA biomineralization in vitro. And the mechanism responsible for the procession of HA biomineralization needs further research.

7.Research on the construction of ideological and political teaching resource database for College English course in medical colleges from the perspective of students

Objective:To probe the exploration and integration of ideological and political teaching resources for College English by medical students' teams, and to build a College English ideological and political teaching resource database in medical colleges, so as to provide feasible experience for the integration of medical students' College English and ideological and political education.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted among 1 030 students in a medical college, and SPSSAU statistical software was employed to analyze the results to investigate the attitudes and demands of students towards the integration of English teaching and ideological and political education, the construction methods of College English ideological and political teaching resource database, and the presentation methods and types of resources. Based on the questionnaire results, textbook themes, teaching modules and students' majors, the content analysis and classification method were employed to construct a College English ideological and political teaching resource database that meets the expectations of medical students.Results:① A total of 836 students agreed with the necessity to integrate College English with ideological and political education, hoping to build an ideological and political resource database with videos and audios related to daily life ( n = 731), medical knowledge ( n = 664), social practice ( n = 622), news and current affairs ( n = 604) and guide the students to learn the above resources through the methods "teacher instruction + classroom discussion" ( n = 528). ② The ideological and political integration points in the questionnaire results were matched according to the subjects of the textbook, and further divided into two categories: universal and medically specific ideological and political teaching elements according to the content of the unit modules. Finally, the resource database of College English ideological and political teaching in medical colleges was built. Conclusion:Outstanding courses and resources are jointly explored and built by teachers and students.
8.Classification and reconstruction of bile duct in pediatric split liver transplantation

Objective To investigate the anatomical classification of left intrahepatic bile duct (LHD) and the pattern of bile duct reconstruction during pediatric split liver transplantation and their relationship with postoperative biliary complications. Methods Clinical data of 75 pediatric recipients undergoing split liver transplantation were analyzed retrospectively. Before splitting the donor liver, iopromide injection was used for retrograde cholangiography through the common bile duct. According to the patterns of intrahepatic bile ducts in the second, third and fourth segments, the anatomical classification of LHD of the donor liver was determined. The biliary reconstruction regimens for different classification types of LHD were summarized. The incidence and treatment of biliary complications after pediatric split liver transplantation were analyzed. Results Among 75 donor livers, the anatomical classification of LHD included 57 cases (76%) of type Ⅰ, 9 cases (12%) of type Ⅱ, 4 cases (5%) of type Ⅲ and 5 cases (7%) of type Ⅳ LHD, respectively. Among 75 pediatric recipients, 69 cases (53 cases of type Ⅰ, 8 type Ⅱ, 4 type Ⅲ and 4 type Ⅳ) underwent the left hepatic duct-jejunum Roux-en-Y anastomosis, 1 case received common bile duct-jejunum Roux-en-Y anastomosis (type Ⅳ), and 5 cases underwent the left hepatic duct-common bile duct end-to-end anastomosis (4 cases of type Ⅰ and 1 type Ⅱ). Postoperative biliary complications occurred in 6 cases (8%), including 3 cases of biliary anastomotic stenosis, 2 cases of biliary anastomotic leakage and 1 case of bile leakage on the hepatic resection surface. Among 6 recipients, 4 cases were classified as type Ⅰ and 2 cases of type Ⅲ LHD. Objective To clarify the influencing factors of defensive medicine and provide ideas for preventing and re-solving defensive medicine.Methods Literature related to defensive medicine was searched,personnel related to de-fensive medicine were interviewed,and literature and interview data were coded with the method of grounded theo-ry,and related concepts and categories were summarized.Results After three levels of coding,52 initial concepts,23 initial categories,7 sub-categories and 3 main categories were sorted out,and the correlation among influencing factors was analyzed to build a three-dimensional model of"doctor-patient relationship-institutional system-social environment"influencing factors and their mechanism of action.Conclusion The influencing factors of defensive medi-cine mainly include doctor-patient relationship,institutional system and social environment.The three factors have an impact on defensive medicine through different mechanisms of action,which provides qualitative evidence for comprehensive analysis of factors in related studies of defensive medicine.
