Objective To evaluate the value of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) in the differential diagnosis of cystic pancreatic lesions. Methods Thirty-four cystic pancreatic lesions confirmed clinically or pathologically were collected, including 11 case of non-neoplastic pseudocyst,5 cases of simple cyst,6 cases of serous cystadenoma,10 cases of mucinous cystadenoma and 2 cases of mucinous cystadenocarcinoma. All the patients underwent routine serial MR and echo-planar DW imaging examination of the pancreas with b values of 0 and 600 s/mm2.The appearances of signal intensity of DWI with all cysts were recorded.ADC maps were reconstructed, and the ratio of the cysts and cyst-to-pancreas ADC (ADCR) were calculated. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were constructed to evaluate the diagnostic value of ADC and ADCR.Results Among all the 16 non-neoplastic cysts,2 cysts were slightly hyperintense in DWI,and 14 cysts were isointense.Among all the 18 neoplastic cysts,17 cysts appeared slightly hyperintense or hyperintense in DWI,and 1 cyst was isointense. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.001).The ADC values of non-neoplastic and neoplastic cysts were (3.30 ± 0.30) × 10-3,(2.74 ± 0.34) × 10-3 mm2/s ; and the ADCR values of non-neoplastic and neoplastic cysts were 1.85 ± 0.20,1.31 ± 0.21,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.001).The areas under the ROC curves of ADC and ADCR diagnosing neoplastic cysts were 0.94 ± 0.04,0.98 ± 0.02,respectively.An ADC of 3.105 × 10-3 mm2/s showed 81.3% sensitivity and 94.4% specificity for predicting neoplastic cysts. An ADCR of 1.525 showed 100% sensitivity and 88.9% specificity for predicting neoplastic cysts. Conclusions Diffusion-weighted imaging is of importance in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of pancreatic cysts, and can be applied as a complementary tool for routine MRI.

Objective To analyze the effect of dexmedetomidine hydrochloride injection on patients with craniocerebral disease who has no artificial airway in the process of bronchoalveolar lavage treatment. Methods Forty-six patients (age 17-28,average age 56.6±9.2,26 men and 20 women) with craniocerebral disease who has no artificial airway were selected, and were treated by bronchoalveolar lavage for lung infection. The patients were randomly divided into two groups, control and test group. The control group (n=23) received midazolam for sedative and the test group (n=23) received dexmedetomidine hydrochloride for sedative while they were in the process of bronchoalveolar lavage treatment.Heart rate, mean arterial pressure and blood oxygen saturation of fingers collected from patients before and during the process of bronchoalveolar lavage were compared. Results In the process of bronchoalveolar lavage treatment, the minimum blood oxygen saturation of finger artery from the control group was lower than that from the test group, the fastest heart rate from the control group was greater than that from the test group, and the lowest mean arterial pressure from the control group was lower than that from the test group (P<0.05).In two groups, heart rate in the process of bronchoalveolar lavage treatment was faster than that from before the treatment, while both mean arterial pressure and blood oxygen saturation of finger artery were decreased (P<0.05).Conclusions Continuous intravenous pumping of dexmedetomidine hydrochloride on patients with craniocerebral disease who has no artificial airway during the process of bronchoalveolar lavage treatment is effective and safe, and it has less inhibitory effect on respiratory function and blood pressure.

Objective:To standardize the naming of organ at risk (OAR) and target area during cervical cancer radiotherapy based on AAPM TG-263.Methods:After self-programming of Matlab software to implement the reading and resolution of radiotherapy structure files, the naming of each substructure was automatically output, recorded and restored. After naming all substructures, the structure names were classified by keywords. According to TG-263, a standard naming conversion table of OAR and target area was developed, and the classified structure names were standardized through procedures. Finally, the standardized named radiotherapy structure files were output and imported into the treatment planning system (TPS).Results:The radiation structure of 144 patients with cervical cancer was successfully transformed and displayed correctly in TPS. Before the transformation, the naming of OAR and target area lacked of uniform norms and standards, and the naming of the same structure significantly differed. After the transformation, 43 naming methods of OAR and 74 naming methods of the target area were unified into 20 and 8 naming methods, which were more convenient for staff understanding and communication. Conclusion:The standardization of cervical cancer radiotherapy structure naming can reduce the inconsistency of naming and provide reference for the standardized naming of pelvic tumors.

Objective To investigate the values of degree centrality (DC),a novel resting-state fMRI parameter,in voxel-wise whole-brain ftmctional networks analysis in patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).Methods The resting-state functional MR imaging was performed in 21 IBS patients and 21 age-,education level-,and gender-matched normal healthy subjects, collected in our hospital from August 2013 to January 2015.DC map changes between the two patient groups were compared by two sample t test. Results As compared with the control group, patients with IBS showed significantly reduced DC values in right superior frontal gyrus, middle frontal gyrus, middle frontal gyrus of orbital part, middle temporal gyrus and precuneus. Conclusion Changes of DC value occurr in some regions of brain in the IBS patients;DC,as a novel resting-state functional MRI parameter in the voxel-wise whole-brain functional networks, might be an appealing altemative index for further studying on pathologic and neuropsychological states of IBS.

BACKGROUND:
The cardiomyocyte apoptosis is considered as one of major contributions to cardiac remodeling after myocardial infarction (MI). Numerous studies find that circular RNAs (circRNAs) play pivotal roles in a variety of biological functions. However, the role of circ_0068655 in MI and human induced pluripotent stem-derived cardiomyocytes (HCMs) remains unknown.
METHODS:
The expression of circ_0068655, miR-498, and PRKC apoptosis WT1 regulator (PAWR) in human MI heart tissues and hypoxia subjected HCMs was evaluated with qRT-PCR and Western blot. The effects of circ_0068655 on hypoxia-induced apoptotic death and cell migration in HCMs were evaluated with qRT-PCR, cell viability, cell death ELISA (POD), and Caspase-3 activity assay, and Trans-well assay, respectively. Furthermore, luciferase assay, qRT-PCR, biotin-labeled miRNA pulldown assay, and Western blot were employed in the functional studies.
RESULTS:
We found that the expression of circ_0068655 and PAWR was enhanced in MI patients and hypoxia subjected HCMs; by contrast, the expression of miR-498 decreased. Inhibited expression of circ_0068655 in HMCs counteracted hypoxia-induced apoptotic death and impaired cell migration, in sharp contrast to circ_0068655 knockdown. We identified that circ_0068655 sponged an endogenous miR-498 to sequester and inhibit its activity, leading to the increased PAWR expression.
CONCLUSIONS
Our findings reveal that the expression of circ_0068655 can promote cardiomyocyte apoptosis through the modulation of miR-498-PAWR axis in vitro, which highlights the diagnostic and therapeutic value of circ_0068655 in patients with MI.
