lnsulin-like growth factor (IGF) system has multiple bioactivities,such as regulating cell proliferation and differentiation,and inhibiting apoptosis and so on.In vivo and in vitro experiments have confirmed that IGF system takes part in the malignant transformation of cells and is related to the growth,invasion and metastasis of toumor.IGF system will be applied to early screening and target therapy for colorectal cancer.
2.Investigation of nutrition status and quality of life of perioperative patients with laryngeal cancer

Objective To investigate the nutrition status and quality of life(QOL)in the perioperative patients with laryngeal cancer and to analyze the effect of nutrition status on quality of life.Methods Sixty-six patients with laryngeal cancer were surveyed respectively by self-designed general situation questionnaire,nutritional risk srcreening 2002(NRS2002)and European organization for research and treatment of cancer quality of life core questionnaire(EORTC QLQ-C30).The impact of nutritional status on QOL was analyzed by the multiple linear regression analysis.Results The total score of nutritional risk of perioperative patients with laryngeal cancer was 3.53±1.51 and the incidence of nutritional risk was 28.79%.The nutrition status influenced on QOL, physiological function,cognitive function and pain area(P<0.05).Conclusion Nurses should assess the nutritional status of the patients and correct malnutrition without delay in order to improve the physical function and QOL of the patients.
3.Application of error-correction education mode for diabetic dietary education in the nursing specialist outpatient service

Objective To explore the best mode of diabetic dietary education in the nursing specialist outpatient service,which is suit for China's national situation.Methods A total of 100 diabetic patients consulting diabetes diet in the nursing specialist outpatient service were divided into observation group and control group with 50 cases each by random digits table method.The routine sermonic education mode was used in control group,while the error-correction education mode was used in observation group.The question-real-time evaluation was performed at the end of the education and a follow-up evaluation after 6 months of intervention was evaluated.Results Grasp of the knowledge of diabetes diet in observation group immediately after education and 6 months after education were better than those in control group,t=3.07,3.06,P<0.01.In the follow-up evaluation after 6 months of intervention,fasting blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin were (6.84±0.79) mmol/L,(6.83±0.36) % in observation group and (7.56±0.93) mmol/L,(7.67±0.87) % in control group.The indices in observation group were significantly better than those in control group,t=-4.17,-6.32,P<0.01.Conclusions Using the error-correction education mode can correct the false dietary behavior of patients and improve the effect of the diabetic dietary education more effectively.
4.Meta-analysis of Shenling Baizhu Powder Combined with Western Medicine in Treating Ulcerative Colitis

Objective To make a Meta-analysis of the effectiveness and safety of Shenling Baizhu Powder (SBP) for the treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC),thus to provide evidence for the clinical treatment of ulcerative colitis.Methods Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of SBP combined with western medicine vs western medicine in treating ulcerative colitis were included.The quality of RCTs was assessed by the Cochrane scale.A Meta-analysis was performed for the clinical efficacy,improvement of disease activity index (DAI) levels of the included trials.Results A total of 19 RCTs were included,involving 1498 cases.The results of Metaanalysis showed that compared with the western medicine group,the combined risk ratio(RR) of clinical efficacy in the SBP combined group was 1.55,95% confidence interval (CI) being (1.39,1.72).The subgroup analysis based on control medicine showed that the combined RR of combined use of sulfasalazine or mesalazine/Olsalazine was 1.46,1.59 [95%CI (1.19,1.77) vs 95%CI (1.40,1.80)].The subgroup analysis based on different treatment courses showed that the combined RR of 1-30 days,31-60 days,61-90 days was 1.42,1.69,1.47 [95%CI (1.18,1.70) vs 95%CI (1.44,1.97) vs 95%CI (1.15,1.88)] respectively.The differences were significant (P < 0.05).(2) The differences of the two groups on the improvement of DAI and inflammatory factors levels of interlekin-17(IL-17),IL-23,tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α),C-reactive protein(CRP) were statistically significant(P < 0.05).(3)The sensitivity analysis of the primary outcomes showed a higher homogeneity in the literatures and the funnel plot analysis showed no evidence of publication bias.Conclusion Compared with western medicine,SBP combined with western medicine has better clinical efficacy for the treatment of UC,and the combined use of mesalazine/Olsalazine medicated for 30-60 days is more effective on improving DAI and inflammatory factors levels.However,for the low quality of the included literatures and insufficient experimental design,the conclusion needs more evidence from large sample-size randomized double-blind controlled trials.
5.Value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound in diagnosis of placental acerete

Objective To explore the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS) in diagnosis of placental accrete,placental increta and placental percreta. Methods Twenty suspected patients of placental accrete, placental increta and placental percreta were examined with CEUS after routine ultrasound examination. Sono Vue was injected intravenously as bolus and a real time CEUS was performed to observe the characteristics. Results Comparison of 15 CEUS cases with uterine curettage, 8 cases had a clear relationship between the residual disease of the uterine cavity and uterine wall,7 cases had a thin thickness (2-4 mm) between the residual disease of the uterine cavity and uterine wall. Five of the 20 cases performed cesarean cesion,3 cases of the uterine serosa of placenta affixing part were very thin,incomplete and rough, demonstrating placenta increta and placenta percreta, 1 case of uterine rupture showed non-invasiveness between uterine wall and uterine serosa,and 1 case of placenta increta pathologically proven, initially suspected gestational trophoblastic disease by the CEUS. Conclusions CEUS provides an important diagnostic message for placental accrete, placental increta and placental percreta by showing the different characteristics of the perfusion image.
6.PROPERTIES OF PROLIFERATION AND DIFFERENTIATION OF NEONATAL RAT RETINAL PROGENITOR CELLS IN VITRO

Objective To investigate the properties of proliferation and differentiation of neonatal rat retinal progenitor cells (RPCs) in vitro. Methods RPCs were isolated from neonatal SD rats neural retina and cultured in DMEM/F12+N2 with EGF and bFGF (suspension medium )or 10%FBS without EGF and bFGF (differentiation medium). The cells grew as suspended spheres or adherent monolayers, depending on different culture conditions. The neural stem cells or retinal progenitors, neurons, astrocytes, retinal ganglion cells, rod photoreceptors and the proliferating cells were evaluated with immunofluorescence analysis by Nestin or Pax6, Map2, GFAP, Thy-1, Rhodopsin and BrdU antibodies respectively. Results RPCs could propagate and differentiate in suspension or differentiation medium and express the markers of Nestin (92.86%) or Pax6 (86.75%), Map2 (38.54%), GFAP (20.93%), Thy-1 (27.66%) and Rhodopsin(13.33%)in suspension medium; however, Nestin (60.27%), Pax6 (52%), Map2 (34.94%), GFAP (38.17%), Thy-1(30.84%) and Rhodopsin (34.67%) in differentiation medium. 96.4% of the population in the neurospheres was BrdU-positive cells. The cells could spontaneously adherent forming some subspheres and retinal specific cell types. Conclusion Neonatal rat RPCs possess the high degree of proliferation and can differentiate into neurons, astrocytes, retinal ganglion cells and rod photoreceptors in vitro. There are different proportions for RPCs to differentiate into specific cell types.
7.Comparative study on quantitative parameters of blood perfusion and microvessel density in placenta of rat model of preeclampsia evaluted with contrast-enhanced ultrasound

Objective To investigate the correlation between quantitative parameters with contrastenhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and microvessel density (MVD).Methods Thirty-four placenta of rat model of preeclampsia underwent CEUS examination.The peak intensity time curves on the enhanced images were analyzed quantitatively with computer to get quantitative parameters[the time to peak(TTP), maximal peak intensity(Imax), the area under curve(AUC) and the mean perfusion volume(V)].These parameters were compared with MVD counted with immunohistochemistry and the correlation was statistically studied.Results The TTP in the enhanced images was (14.55 ± 3.45)s, Imax was (20.83 ± 6.15) dB, AUC was (1868.61 ± 25.76)dB, V was (58.01 ± 23.56)dB, and the MVD of placenta of rat model of preeclampsia was (88.98 ± 24.78) in 34 rats.The Imax was correlated positively to MVD (r = 0.885, P = 0.000) ,AUC was correlated positively to MVD (r = 0.677, P = 0.001), V was correlated positively to MVD (r =0.877, P = 0.000).There was no correlation between TTP and MVD in lesions.Conclusions The Imax,AUC and V calculated with CEUS were correlated to MVD, these parameters were valuable index for quantitative evaluation of placental blood perfusion.
8.Application of 3.5 mm superfine bronchoscope in children′s difficult airway

Objective To discuss the practicability and safety of 3.5 mm superfine bronchoscope in children's difficult airway.Methods Twenty-eight children with difficult airway,aged 4 months to 8 years were selected.Intravenous anesthesia was used and autonomous respiration was maintained.The 3.5 mm superfine bronchoscope was used to guide tracheal intubation by nose(mouth).Results Among 28 cases, 1 case had oral bleeding and succeeded after suction and pressurized oxygen supply, and the rest was successful in the first time.The intubation time was(1.50 ± 0.25)min.There was no damage to the whole airway.Success rate was 100%.Conclusions The 3.5 mm superfine bronchoscope in guiding tracheal intubation of children's difficult airway has obvious advantages and security, and it deserves clinical attention and promotion.
9.Effectiveness evaluation on percutaneous vertebroplasty combined with 125 I radioactive particle implantation in treatment of vertebral metastasis

Objective: To evaluate the clinical effect of pereutaneous vertbroplasty (PVP) combined with implantation of iodine-125 (125 I)radioactive particle in the treatment of vertebral metastasis,and to provide basis for the treatment of vertebral metastasis.Methods:A total of 69 patients with vertebral metastasis were divided into test group (n=32)and control group (n=37);the patients in test group were treated with PVP comined with implantation 125 I radioactive particle and the patients in control group were treated with PVP only.The heights of anterior and posterior vertebral bodies of the patients before and after treatment were detected by X-ray.The numerical rating scale (NRS)scores,pain relief rate and the incidence of surgical complications of the patients were recorded before operation and 1 d,1 week,1 month,3 months,and 6 months after operation.Results:The operation was successfully performed in all the patients without local bleeding;there were no movement dysfunction and nerve compression phenomenon.There was no leakage of bone cement.All the 125 I radioactive particles located well and there was no particle obscission.The heights of vertebral bodies of the patients in two groups after operation were increased compared with before operation (P <0.05).The NRS scores of the patients in two groups s at 1 d,1 week,1 month,3 months,6 months after operation were significantly decreased compared with before operation (P <0.05);compared with control group,the NRS scores of the patients in test group at 1 d,1 week, 1 month,3 months,6 months after operation were decreased (P <0.05).The incidence of pulmonary embolism or radiation myelitis complications was about 4.3% in 69 patients.Compared with control group,the difference in the incidence of complications of the patients in test group was not significant (P < 0.05 ).Conclusion:PVP combined with 125 I radioactive particle implantation is a safe and effective method in the treatment of vertebral metastasis,which can relieve the pain of the patients obviously compared with PVP.
10.Association of single nucleotide polymorphisms of susceptibility genes of type 2 diabetes mellitus with liability to gout among ethnic Han Chinese males from coastal region of Shandong.

OBJECTIVE To assess the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of susceptibility genes of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) with liability to gout among ethnic Han Chinese males from coastal region of Shandong province. METHODS Seven SNPs within the susceptibility genes of T2DM, including rs10773971(G/C) and rs4766398(G/C) of WNT5B gene, rs10225163(G/C) of JAZF1 gene, rs2069590(T/A) of BDKRB2 gene, rs5745709(G/A) of HGF gene, rs1991914(C/A) of OTOP1 gene and rs2236479(G/A) of COL18A1 gene, were typed with a custom-made Illumina GoldenGate Genotyping assay in 480 male patients with gout and 480 male controls. Potential association was assessed with the chi-square test. RESULTS No significant difference was detected for the 7 selected SNPs in terms of genotypic and allelic frequencies (P > 0.05). When age and body mass index (BMI) were adjusted, the 7 genetic variants still showed no significant association with gout. CONCLUSION The genotypes of the 7 selected SNPs are not associated with gout in ethnic Han Chinese male patients from the coastal region of Shandong province. However, the results need to be replicated in larger sets of patients collected from other regions and populations.
