Objective To establish a simultaneous determination method of cyclohexane,cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol in workplace air. Methods To collect the cyclohexane,cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol from the workplace air by pumping the air through the active carbon tube,resolve them with alcohol and then test the content of them by capillary gas chromatography. Results It was proved that these samples were separated effectively. The final measurement range of cyclohexane,cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol was 30-1 000 ?g/ml,20-1 000 ?g/ml and 20-880 ?g/ml respectively,the linear equation was y=257.4x+987.1 (r=0.999 9),y=239.9x+664.6 (r=0.9999 ) and y=192.4x+607.1 (r=0.999 9) respectively,the detection limit of was 1.5 ?g/ml,0.5 ?g/ml and 1.0 ?g/ml respectively. The minimum detectable concentration was 1.0 mg/m3,0.3 mg/m3 and 0.7 mg/m3 respectively (collected 1.5 L air sample). The efficiency of resolution was 90.1%,91.2% and 93.1% respectively. Conclusion The method is suitable for the simultaneous determination of the cyclohexane,cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol in the workplace air.

Objective: To examine the applicability of Perfectionistic Self-Presentation Scale (PSPS) in Chinese college students, and its relationship with self-esteem.Methods: A sample of 187 undergraduates completed the preliminary back-translated Chinese version of PSPS.Another sample of 482 undergraduates completed a battery of structured questionnaires including the final Chinese version of PSPS, Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (FMPS) and the Self-Esteem Scale (SES).Reliability and validity of PSPS were analyzed and a hierarchical regression analysis was processed to examine the additional contribution of perfectionistic self-presentation in predicting self-esteem after controlling for perfectionistic traits.Results: All psychometric indices of the revised PSPS were satisfactory (the Cronbach ?index for the three subscales were 0.742, 0.705 and 0.681).The three sub-dimensions, i.e.perfection self-promotion, non-display of perfection and non-disclosure of perfection, all had significant contributions(?F=9.891,P

ObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy and treatment options of precise electrophysiological diagnosis combined with percutaneous low-frequency electrical stimulation for penile scleroderma in high-altitude hypoxic areas. MethodsA total of 54 patients with electrophysiological diagnosis and treatment of corpora cavernosa were included in the retrospective analysis. Their age ranged from 20 to 70 years with a mean of 45.5±11.6 years and disease duration from 2 to 16 months. PDE5i， levocarnitine oral solution， and traditional Chinese medicine for invigorating blood circulation and eliminating stasis were administered orally before treatment. The visual precision electrophysiological diagnosis was performed after discontinuation of all oral drugs for 1 week before treatment. The electrophysiological diagnostic parameters were recorded and contrasted before and after the set-up treatment， and the corresponding parameters for precision electrophysiology were adjusted for percutaneous low-frequency electrical stimulation treatment， 2-3 hours each time， once daily， and 10 times per course. At the same time was administered assisted nasal cannula oxygen inhalation for 2 to 3 hours （4L/min）. Before and after electrophysiological diagnosis and treatment were evaluated by using the numeric assessment scale of pain extent， the international index of erectile function score （IIEF-5）， penile curvature measurement， color Doppler measurement of plaque areas and comparison of whole body and disease local infrared thermogram temperature changes. ResultsAll patients successfully completed 2-4 sessions of percutaneous low-frequency electrical stimulation （20 sessions to 40 sessions）. There was a significant statistical difference （P < 0.01） between the mean values before and after treatment for the degree of weakness / erection pain （7.1±1.6 vs 2.0±1.0）；（8.2±3.2 vs 16.0±5.1） before and after IIEF-5 treatment， respectively （P < 0.01），Pre- and post-treatment of PCDDU measured mean plaque size was 0.23（0.09~0.54）cm² vs 0.23（0.09~0.54）cm²，with no statistically different change in improvement value （P = 0.189）. Four cases had no penile camptodactyly， Before electrical stimulation， 50 （92.6%） patients had different degrees of penile curvature deformity， and there was no change in the improvement of the contrast bending angle before and after treatment （P >0.05）. The comparison of TMT images before and after treatment with visual precision electrophysiology diagnosis suggested that temperature change >1.5℃ in the whole body and penile and bilateral inguinal regions， etc. could be considered effective electrical stimulation treatment. There were no recurrences of induration， increased pain and penile curvature at 3~10 months follow-up， and no patient required subsequent surgery. ConclusionThe results of this study show that visualizing the electrophysiological diagnosis situation to set local and holistic combined treatment parameters， and treating PD by means of percutaneous low-frequency electrical stimulation at meridian and neuromuscular acupoints of traditional Chinese medicine could achieve good safety and efficacy， especially in the early stage，which has a clear effect on pain treatment， thus opening new avenues for PD treatment.

BACKGROUND: The cel density is one of the factors involved in the state of cel differentiation, and the effect of cel density on transforming growth factor-β1-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition of HaCaT cells is stil unclear. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of cel density on transforming growth factor-β1-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition of HaCaT cells. METHODS: HaCaT cells was seeded in 6-wel plates at low density of 103/cm2 and high density of 105/cm2 then treated by 2 μg/L transforming growth factor-β1 for 48 hours, thereafter observed the changes in cel morphology. The transcription levels of epithelial cadherin, tight junction protein-1, vimentin, neuronal-cadherin were detected by real-time PCR, and expression levels of epithelial cadherin and vimentin were detected by Western blot. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Cel gap of HaCaT cells grew larger after treated with transforming growth factor-β1 for 48 hours, and cel morphology was long spindle rather than polygonal in low-density group, while in high-density group without obvious morphological changes. The real-time PCR showed that the transcriptions of epithelial cel marker epithelial cadherin and tight junction protein-1 were suppressed when compared with the control group (P < 0.05), and the decreasing deree in the high-density group was higher than that in the low-density group (P <0.05), mesenchymal cel marker neuronal-cadherin and vimentin were upregulated in the high-density group and the low-density group when compared with the control group (P < 0.05), and there were no significant differences between high-density group and low-density group. Western blot results verified the changes of neuronal-cadherin and vimentin expression level. These results suggest that the high seeding density can inhibit transforming growth factor-β1-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition of HaCaT cells.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of surgical treatment for hepatolithiasis in patients of advanced age.Methods The clinical data of 196 patients of advanced age (≥80 years) and with hepatolithiasis who were admitted to the Kailuan General Hospital from January 2009 to October 2012 were retrospectively analyzed.All the 196 patients received surgical treatment.Patients were followed up via phone call or out-patient examination till May 2013.Results Fifty-eight patients received emergent operation within 24 hours after admission,and the other 138 patients received operation 7.4 days (range,1.0-18.0 days) after admission.Fifty patients received laparoscopic surgery,including 43 received cholecystectomy + choledocholithotomy + T tube drainage,7 received choledocholithotomy + T tube drainage.One hundred and forty-six patients received open surgery,including 78 received cholecystectomy + choledocholithotomy + T tube drainage,43 received choledocholithotomy + T tube drainage and 25 received choledocholithotomy + T tube drainage + partial hepatectomy.The operation time was (78 ± 16)minutes,and the volume of intraoperative bleeding ranged between 15 mL and 300 mL.One hundred and ninety-four patients were cured and 2 patients died.Thirty-seven patients had complications after operation,with the morbidity of 18.88％ (37/196).A total of 163 patients were followed up,with the follow-up rate of 83.16％ (163/196).The median time of follow-up was 26 months (range,7-52 months).Twelve patients had hepatolithiasis recurrence,and the recurrence rate was 7.36％ (12/163).Conclusion Surgical treatment for hepatolithiasis in patients of advanced age has the advantages of high cure rate,low incidence of complications and recurrence,and the clinical efficacy is satisfactory.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of prenatal nicotine exposure on cardiac ejection function and myocardial fibrosis of the offspring of rats.METHODS Pregnant rats were sc given nicotine 6.0 mg· kg-1,once daily for 17 d.The body mass and heart mass of the offspring were detected at the 21th day of gestation,and 15 and 90 d after birth.Heart rate of 90 d offspring was recorded by ECG,and cardiac functions were detected by Doppler ultrasonography,including cardiac output (CO),stroke volume (SV),ejection fraction (EF),left ventricular long axis shortening fraction (FS),interventricular septum diastolic diameter (IVSd) and left ventricular posterior wall diastolic diameter (LVPWd).The myocardial ultrastructure was detected under an electron microscope.Masson staining was used to detect the myocardial collagen fiber deposition.The level of collagen protein type Ⅰ in heart tissue was detected by radioimmunoassay.RESULTS Compared with control group,prenatal nicotine exposure resulted in a decrease of heart mass and body mass in groups of 21 d fetal rats and 15 d offspring(P＜0.05,P＜0.01),but had no effect on the 90 d offspring.Compared with the normal control group,the heart rate of 90 d offspring increased [366+10 vs (418+10) min-1] (P＜0.05),CO,FS and EF decreased (P＜0.01),and IVSd and LVPWd increased (P＜0.05,P＜0.01).Electron microscopy revealed that in the heart of nicotine 90 d offspring,myocardial fiber arrangement was loosened and confused,while extracellular matrix increased.Masson staining showed collagen deposited in the myocardium.The level of collagen type Ⅰ in heart tissue increased [0.59±0.09 vs (0.40±0.05) tμg·g-1 tissue] (P＜0.01).CONCLUSION Prenatal nicotine exposure induces the increased level of cardiac collagen type Ⅰ,myocardial fibrosis and decrease of cardiac ejection function in adult offspring,which may lead to increased susceptibility to cardiovascular diseases.

Objective : To observe the effect of hypoxia on pituitary adrenal axis in rats and the therapeutic effect of Gynostemma pentaphyllum saponins(GPs)intervention. Methods : 50 male SD rats were randomly divided into normoxia control group , hypoxia control group , and hypoxia + GPs low , medium , and high dose intervention groups , with 10 rats in each group. Rats in the normoxia group were kept in a normoxia animal room for 28 days , while rats in the hypoxia group and drug intervention group were kept in a low⁃pressure oxygen chamber for 28 days. Among them , hypoxia + GPs low , medium and high dose groups of rats were gavaged daily with GPs of 40 mg/kg , 80 mg/kg , and 160 mg/kg , respectively. After 28 days , rats were killed in batches , their body weight and pituitary weight were measured , and pituitary index was calculated ; HE staining method was used to observe the morphology and structure of rat pituitary gland ; immunohistochemical and Western blot methods were used to observe the expression level of pituitary adrenocorticotropin ( ACTH) protein in rats ; ELISA method was used to observe serum ACTH and corticosterone ( CORT) concentrations in rats. Results : Hypoxia had no significant effect on pituitary gland morphology and quality in rats. Hypoxia might induce the expression of rat pituitary ACTH protein and an increase in serum ACTH and CORT concentrations , while GPs might reduce the expression of rat pituitary ACTH protein and serum ACTH and CORT concentrations induced by hypoxia. Conclusion GPs have a significant effect on the pituitary adrenal axis induced by hypoxia in rats , and there is a dose⁃effect relationship between GPs and effect.
