Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of health management on quality of life of hypertensive patients living in underdeveloped rural regions. Methods Minqin County of Gansu Province was taken as research field, and health education covered all the population. Individual follow-up was adopted by quasi-experiment,and SF-8 scale was used to evaluate the change of scores of quality of life at baseline and the end of the study. Results The score of various dimension of quality life of interventive group showed a significant decrease at the end of follow-up ( P < 0. 05) , and the net score of general health status was 10. 92,the net score of impact to social role exerted by physical function was 9. 59,and the net score of social function was 4.61. Moreover, there was statistical difference between the intervention group and the control group for their quality of life(P <0. 05) , which showed in detail that each dimension of quality of life of the intervention group had higher score than that of the control group, after adjusting baseline difference by analysis of covariance. Conclusions All these results suggest that the active screening, following up and health education, conducted by the primary health care staff of township hospitals, under the idea of health management, can improve the quality of life of hypertension patients effectively in the rural area of underdeveloped region.

Objective To analyze the change in the concentration of IL-17 and IL-10 inflammatory factors among the deadaptation personnel who returned from the plateau. Methods A total 21 healthy males were investigated who averaged 25 years in age, lived permanently in the plains (200 m), and once stayed to the plateau (Lasha) for 6 months.Their venous blood was collected at three time points:the day before ascending to the plateau(control), the second day after return to the plains(d2) and the 30th day(d30), respectively.Their serum was seperated from the whole blood and the level of IL-17A and IL-10 was detected by ELISA method. Results The concentration of IL-17A and the IL-17A/IL-10 ratio were significant increased at d2 and d30, respectively, compared with control (P<0.05).Compared with d2, IL-17A and the IL-17A/IL-10 ratio were decreased obviously at d30(P <0.05).The level of IL-10 at d2 and d30 was significantly reduced compared with control ( P <0.05), but increased at d30 compared with d2.Correlative analysis showed that there was a negative correlation in the levels of IL-10 and IL-17A between control, d2 and d30, respectively (r1=0.948, P<0.05;r2=0.969, P<0.05;r3=0.972, P<0.05).A significant negative correlation was observed in the alteration levels of IL-10 and IL-17A between the three groups(r4=-0.793, P<0.05; r5=-0.756, P<0.05). Conclusion The concentration of inflammatory factors among the plateau deadaptation patients is imbalanced, but it is gradually reduced with time. The mechanism is still not clear.

Objective We analysed the homocysteine level and distribution of ganzhou city crowd ,learned about its elevatory sit‐uation ,and provided theory basis for the intervention of high homocysteine level crowd and the prevention of heart and head blood vessel disease .Methods We detected the blood homocysteine level of 6419 adults who had physical examination in our hospital dur‐ing 2012 by enzymatic methods ,and analyzed the diagnose rate of HHcy and the distributions of Hcy in different age and gender . Results The total detection rate of high homocysteine level in 6419 adults was 39 .11% ,among which 47 .30% in male and 22 .49% in female ,the comparison was statistically significant (χ2 = 424 .28 ,P< 0 .05) ;the detection rate of male was higher than female .In different ages ,the detection rates were statistically significant comparatively (P< 0 .05) .The detection rate of homocys‐teine level in both gender rises with age .At the same time ,homocysteine levels in males of 25 - 34 years old age group and 35 - 44 years old age group ,45 - 54 years old age group and 55 - 64 yeas old age group were not statistically significant ;while there were statistical differences of Hcy level in the rest age groups of male ,different age groups of female and same age different gender groups (P< 0 .05) .Conclusion The HHcy detection rate and the blood Hcy distribution of Ganzhou city crowd has its regional characteristics compared with other regions ,and it may be associated with the main population distribution of hakka people and oth‐er geological factors .The detection rate of HHcy was relatively high ,and it′s advisable to take early prevention to lower the risk of heart and head blood vessel disease .

Objective To explore the feasibility and validity of Satir model on compulsory drug rehabilitation for female drug users in closed settings. Methods Satir Model-based group psychotherapy was adopted in the treatment on 33 female drug users. Results The findings are that the pre-treatment SCL-90 scores were all higher than norm, indicating very high significant differences(P<0.01) ; while the post-treatment SCL-90 scores, except the score of somatization, were approximate to norm, showing no statistical differences(P >0. 05). Conclusion Satir model played a positive role in the process of female drug users mental health recovery.

The aim of this study was to construct the complete genome of Marek's disease virus serotype 814 strain as an infectious bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC). Using self-designed selection marker Eco-gpt (1.3 kb) and BAC vector pBeloBAC11 (7.5 kb), we constructed the transfer plasmid pUAB-gpt-BAC11. The plasmid pUAB-gpt-BAC11 and MDV total-DNA were cotransfected into secondary CEFs; we put the virus-containing cells in selection medium for eight rounds and obtained purified recombinant viruses. Recombinant viral genomes were extracted and electroporated into E. coli, BAC clones were identified by restriction enzyme digestion and PCR analysis. Finally, we obtained 38 BAC clones, DNA from various MDV-1 BACs was transfected into CEFs, and recombinant virus was reconstituted by transfection of MDV-BAC2 DNA. We successfully cloned the complete genome of MDV-1814 strain as an infectious bacterial artificial chromosome. With these cloned genomes, a revolutionary MDV-DNA engineering platform utilizing RED/ET recombination system was constructed successfully, which can help the understanding of MDV gene functions and promote the using of MDV as a vector for expressing foreign genes. In addition, it opens the possibility to generate novel MDV-1 vaccines based on the BACs.

Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2008;24(2):226-231
Improving expression of antigen is critical to the immunogenicity of DNA vaccines. To achieve this goal, we modified the NDV F48E9 strain HN gene by optimizing the condon usage and inserting the secretary leader sequence [A/Goose/Guangdong/1/96 (H5N1) HA gene, Accession No. AF144305]. The HN gene modified and knocked the signal peptide off were named SoptiHN and optiHN. The three sequence: SoptiHN, optiHN and the NDV F48E9 strain HN gene were inserted into the vector pVAX1 and vector pVAX1-CpG including CpG-ODN sequence respectively. Then we got six recombinant plasmids: pV-SoptiHN, pVC-SoptiHN, pV-optiHN, pVC-optiHN, pV-HN and pVC-HN. By optimizing condon usage in transiently transfected 293T cells, expression levels of HN gene were higher from the codon-optimized gene than the counterpart. Moreover, both optimization of condon usage and addition of signal peptide could improve expression of HN gene in vitro.
