AIM: To investigate the effects of nitric oxide (NO) inhalation on nitric oxide synthase (NOS) and endothelin-1 (ET-l) of patients with hypoxic pulmonary hypertension. METHODS: Examined 13 pulmonic blood samples to determine the concentration of NOS in leukocyte and ET - 1 in plasma before NO inhalation, 30 minutes after inhalation, 2 and 12 hours after stopping of inhalation respectiviy. RESULTS: The values taken before inhalation was NOS (0.70 ? 0.21 )mol/min?mg-l, ET-1 (78.89 ? 46.59) Pmol/L; 30 minutes after inhalation (0.74?0.14)mol/min.mg-l, ET - 1 (88 .27 ? 45 .41 )pmol/L; 2 hours after stopping of inhalation NOS (0.64 ? 0.22)mol/min.mg-1, ET - 1 (80.76?42.66)pmol/L; and 12 hours after stopping of inhalation NOS (0. 63? 0. 17)mol/min.mg-1, ET-1(61.07?29.44)pmol/L. NO significant difference was found in the values of NOS and ET- 1 before and after inhalation, P> 0. 05. CONCLUSION: The effects of NO inhalation on NOS and ET-l in patients with hypoxic pulmonary hypertension are not significant according to the above investigation.

Objective To evaluate the changes of left ventricular regional function in normal subjects with aging and the influencing factors by Doppler tissue imaging. Methods One hundred and twelve normal subjects were divided into four groups according to age: I group with age≤18 years old ; II group with 18 60 years old. Using a quantitative tissue velocity analysis system and tissue tracking, the peak velocities of different ventricular segments at systole, early and late diastole (Vs, Ve,Va) , the Ve/Va ratios were obtained and the effects of age, gender, heart rate and STd were analyzed. Results (1) Peak velocities of different segments of each wall were decreased one by one from mitral annulus, the basal, middle segment to the apical portion. (2) Peak velocities of different ventricular walls were significantly different, with the antero- and posterio-inter-ventricular septum being the lowest CVe (6. 89?2. 60) ,(7. 94?2. 64)cm/s]and with the latero-,posterio-,antero, and inferior walls of the left ventricle being higherCVe (9. 85?3. 02) , (9. 80?3. 09), (8. 86?3. 16), (8. 23?2. 48) cm/s] . (3) Peak velocities of different segments were associated with age, STd, BMI, heart rate and not associated with gender. (4) The Ve/Va ratios were increased one by one from mitral annulus, basal, middle segment to apical portion, and were significantly lower in III group and IV group than in I group and II group. Conclusions Peak velocities of different segments at different walls change regularly and age is the most important influencing factor to the diastolic velocities.

Objective To study the relative risk factors of simultaneous gastric and colonic polyps,pro-vide theoretical basis for simultaneous gastrointestinal endoscopy monitoring for high-risk population. Methods Retrospective analysis on the patients with a total of 506 cases in the department of gastroenterology of Zhujiang Hospital from 2014 to 2016 and diagnosis gastric polyps or colonic polyps. Adopt cases-control research, the pa-tients(138)with gastric polyps and colonic polyps were divided into case group, the patients(99)with gastric polyps or colonic polyps(269)were divided into control group. Results The colonic polyps group is mainly com-posed of male(69.1%);while gastric polyps group is mainly composed of female(76.8%);The proportion of the patients over 50 years old with gastrointestinal polyp is higher(81.9%).The proportion of Hp infection in the colon-ic polyps group is higher(43.1%),followed by the cases group(31.9%).The composition of the pathological types between gastric polyps group, colonic polyps group and cases group is similar, while there is no correlation on the pathological types between gastric polyps and colonic polyps in the cases group. Conclusion The male patients who diagnosis gastric polyps should perform colonoscopy, the gastric polyps patients who is Hp infection should per-form colonoscopy, the patients over 50 years old are suggested to perform gastrointestinal endoscopy. There is no correlation on the pathological types between gastric polyps and colonic polyps, further studies will be conducted to expand the study sample size.

OBJECTIVE To obtain mitochondria targeting compounds from Gastrodia elata, and to study the neuroprotective activities of these compounds. METHODS The mitochondria was extracted from cerebral tissue of rats. The purity of mitochondria was evaluated with Janus green staining and neutral red staining. The activity of purified mitochondria was evaluated. The purified mitochondria was included in the control group, and the inactivated mitochondria was included in the experimental group. The ratio of the difference between the peak areas of the control group and the experimental group to the peak areas of control group(ΔP) was determined and calculated to verify the feasibility of the method for obtaining the mitochondria targeting compounds. The mitochondria targeting compounds from G. elata were obtained by ultrafiltration centrifugation-high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and identified, and the effects of the compounds on the acitivities of mitochondria were also detected. The neuroprotective activities of the compounds with better activities were studied with hypoxia glucose deprivation/reoxygenation (OGD/R) damaged HT22 cells. RESULTS The extracted mitochondria possessed high purity and activity. Results of feasibility validation showed that ultrafiltration centrifugation-HPLC method had recognition and separation function, and could be used to obtain compounds with mitochondria targeting function. Two mitochondria targeting compounds (p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol and p- hydroxybenzaldehyde) were obtained from G. elata; these 2 compounds could improve the activities of mitochondria in vitro, and p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol had higher activity. Results of cell experiment showed that pretreatment with p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol (25, 50, 100 μmol/L) had little effect on the survival rate of HT22 cells. Compared with the model group, p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol could reduce cell mortality of OGD/R damaged cells, improve cell morphology, increase the levels of ATP and MMP, and reduced LDH and ROS levels and MPTP openness;most of the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS Two brain mitochondria targeting compounds (p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol and p-hydroxybenzaldehyde) are obtained from G. elata, among E-mail:1047896527@qq.com which p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol has a significant protective effect against OGD/R-induced neuronal injury, possibly through mitochondria targeting therapy.

Objective:
To investigate the assessment and treatment strategy of patients with renal cell carcinoma.
Methods:
The clinical data of 43 patients with renal cell carcinoma and bone metastases admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2006 to December 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. The follow-up time was 6 years, with an average age of 55.4 years (21-87 years). There were 29 males, 14 females, 22 cases of limb bone metastasis, 12 cases of spinal metastasis, 9 cases of multiple bone metastasis, 21 cases of Fuhrman grade 1 and 2, 19 cases of T1, and 20 cases of N0. All patients were confirmed by postoperative pathological examination or imaging data suggesting that bone metastasis are from renal cell carcinoma. Forty-three patients underwent primary renal surgery, and molecular targeted therapy was used after the operation. The treatment process was smooth, no obvious discomfort, and postoperative pathology showed clear cell carcinoma.22 patients with limb bones metastasis and 12 patients with spinal metastasis included in the study all met the indications for secondary surgery after the disease assessment. After communicating with the patient, 13 patients with limbs metastasis and 6 patients with spinal metastasis received local treatment, including complete resection of the extremities and spinal fixation, the remaining 15 patients and 9 patients with multiple bone metastasis were treated conservatively. There were 19 patients in the local treatment group, 13 patients with limbs bone metastasis, 6 patients with spinal bone metastasis, the average age was 54.9 years, the average diameter of the primary tumor was 4.7 cm. There were 24 patients in the conservative treatment group, 9 patients with limbs metastasis, 6 patients with spinal metastases and 9 cases with multiple bone metastasis, with an average age of 56 years and a primary tumor diameter of 5.6 cm. Limb metastatic lesions were evaluated according to the patient's general condition, bone pain, fracture risk, and bone metastasis. Spinal lesions were evaluated according to Tokuhashi score, Harrington score, Tomita score, vertebral stability assessment, and molecular targeted therapy. Aminokinase inhibitors, conservative treatment with local radiotherapy and bisphosphonate treatment.
Results:
During the follow-up period, the 1-year overall survival rate of the local treatment group was 100.0%, the 2-year overall survival rate was 89.4%, and the 5-year overall survival rate was 73.7%. The 1-year overall survival rate of the conservative treatment group was 87.5%, and the 2-year overall survival rate was 62.5%. The 5-year overall survival rate was 16.7%. The 2-year and 5-year survival rates of the local treatment group were statistically different (
