ObjectiveTo study the effect of ultraviolet C(UVC) irradiation at different doses on expression of transforming growth factor β(TGF-β) of granulation tissues in wound. MethodsAfter dosing 15mJ/cm2 or 60mJ/cm2 UVC on wound of rats, the expression of TGF-β were observed at both the mRNA level and the protein level by the methods of in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry respectively. Results At the 7th day after UVC irradiation, the expression of TGF-β in the 15mJ/cm2 group were higher than that in 60mJ/cm2 group and controls (P<0.05)at both the mRNA and the protein level. On the 21st day, the level of TGF-β mRNA in the 60mJ/cm2 group was higher than that in the other two groups(P<0.05).Conclusions At the early stage of wound healing,the treatment of 15mJ/cm2 UVC irradiation promots the expression of TGF-β and might be useful for accelerating wound healing. The level of TGF-β mRNA was up-regulated at the later stage at the dose of 60mJ/cm2 UVC irradiation.

Objective To investigate the influence o f ultraviolet C (UVC) irradiation of different doses on expression of basic fibrob last growth factor (bFGF) in granulation tissues of wound in rats. MethodsThirty Wistar rats were recruited and three wounds wer e made in each rat. The UVC irradiation of different doses (60mJ/cm2 and 15mJ/ cm2) were performed daily in two of the three wounds in each rat, respectively , and the UVC irradiation lasted for three days. The expression of bFGF both at the mRNA level and the protein level were observed by the methods of in situ hyb ridization and immunohistochemistry at 7 days, 14 days, 21 days after wound was made, respectively. Objective To study the effects neuromuscular electrotherapy and kinesitherapy on brachial plexus palsy. Methods 20 patients with brachial plexus palsy accepted neuromuscular electrical stimulation on involved muscles, and were followed up for 18～58 months. Other 17 patients accepted neurolysis alone were as control. Results The function of shoulder and elbow in electric stimulation group was significantly superior to that of control (P<0.01). Conclusion Neuromuscular electrotherapy combined with kinestherapy is effective on the brachial plexus palsy.

Objective: To investigate the gravity center and spatial clustering of silicosis in Zhejiang Province, so as to provide the reference for improving silicosis prevention and control measures. Methods: Data on cases of silicosis in Zhejiang Province from 2013 to 2022 was collected from the National Occupational Disease and Health Risk Factors Monitoring Information System. The spatial and temporal characteristics of silicosis incidence in Zhejiang Province were analyzed using the gravity center migration and spatial autocorrelation analysis. Results: Totally 2 902 silicosis cases were reported in Zhejiang Province from 2013 to 2022. The reported cases in 2013, 2019 and 2014 ranked the top three, with 545 (18.78%), 373 (12.85%) and 372 (12.82%) cases, respectively. The silicosis cases were predominantly males, accounting for 99.04% (2 874 cases). The main occupation was mining and related industries, accounting for 50.41% (1 463 cases). Gravity migration analysis showed that the gravity center of silicosis incidence was in Shengzhou City in 2013; from 2014 to 2018, it migrated to the southwest, and was located in Dongyang City and Yiwu City; from 2019 to 2020, it migrated to the southeast, and was located in Xianju County and Tiantai County; then from 2021 to 2022, it migrated to the west, and was located in Pan'an County and Xianju County. Spatial autocorrelation analysis showed that there was spatial correlation of silicosis incidence in 2014, 2016, and 2021 (all Moran's I >0, all P<0.05). Ningbo City, Quzhou City, Wenzhou City and Taizhou City were high-high clustering sites. Conclusions The gravity center of silicosis incidence in Zhejiang Province from 2013 to 2022 had a slight migration, and mainly gathered in the central regions. The high-high clustering sites were migrated from Ningbo City and Quzhou City to Taizhou City.

ObjectiveTo investigate the L-hydroxyproline (L-Hyp) changes in rats' skin after exposed to different doses of ultraviolet C irradiation (UVC) and the effect of UVC radiation on collagen synthesis.MethodsAfter the animal model was set up, each male Wistar rat was made three fresh skin wounds, and three skin wounds of rats were divided into the 15 MED UVC irradiation (15mJ/cm2),60 MED UVC irradiation (60mJ/cm2) and control (without UVC irradiation). Then the chemistry method was utilized to research changes of L-Hyp contents of the granulation.ResultsFrom the 21st to the 28th day after UVC irradiation, contents of L-Hyp in the 15 MED group were higher than that in controls (P<0.05). While at the 28th day, L-Hyp level in the 60 MED group increased greatly and was higher than that in other two groups (P<0.01).ConclusionUVC irradiation increases L-Hyp level in rat's wound skin, so it accelerates the collagen synthesis and is helpful to promote wound healing, and the effect of 60 MED dose is superior to that of 15 MED.

Objective To verify BMP-2 and VEGF gene activated nanobone paste can effectively enhance the vertebral bone of ovariectomized goat.Methods From January,2011 to May,2016,the goats had been neutered by ovariectomy 6 months earlier to induceosteoporosis.Then surgery to established the model of vertebral bone defected with nanobone implanting,and the operation vertebrae divided randomly into 3 groups:control group,nanobone group and double gene activated nanobone group.Three months after operation the goats were sacrificed and removed the vertebrae.Micro CT analysis of micro three-dimensional structure of trabecular bone,scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis of the two-dimensional structure of the vertebrae,the structure of trabecular bone was evaluated by movat pentachrome staining.Results The dual gene activated nanobone group compared with the nanobone group,the bone volume fraction (BV/TV) significantly increased (85％ at 1.2 mm vs 43％ at 1.2 mm,P ＜ 0.05);the dual gene activated nanobone group compared with nanobone group,in the largest ROI (1.2 mm),TbTh increased 10.9％ (374 ± 26.2 μm vs 337 ± 22.3 μm,P ＜ 0.05);Trabecular distribution coefficient (TbPf) was significantly decreased (7.519 ± 0.184 mm-1 vs 7.529 ± 0.261 mm-1,P ＜ 0.05);In the largest ROI (0.8 mm),trabecular distribution coefficient (TbPf) was significantly decreased (283 ± 36.4 μm vs 327 ± 31.2 μm,P ＜ 0.05),In the largest ROI (0.8 mm),the trabecular bone volume (Tbn) was increased 20％(1.404 ± 0.283 mm-1 vs 1.173 ± 0.224 mm-1,P ＜ 0.05);Cortical thickness over the implantation area showed asignificant increase of 43％ in vertebrae(P ＜ 0.05);The histological analysis revealed a more extensive osseointegration of the dual gene activated nanobone group,with the presence of anabundant osteoid tissue and an osteoblastic celllining.Conclusion BMP-2 and VEGF gene activated nano bone paste can effectively enhance the vertebral bone of ovariectomized goat.

Objective: To investigate the status of occupational health examination institutions in Zhejiang Province, so as to provide suggestions for quality control of occupational health examination institutions. Methods: The 312 occupational health examination institutions in Zhejiang Province that have completed filing before September 30, 2023 were selected. The comprehensive capability, service quality, technical capability, and information reporting status were surveyed and evaluated through on-site inspection and skill assessment. Results: There were 161 public hospitals (51.60%), 147 private organizations (47.12%), and 4 centers for disease control and prevention (CDCs)/ occupational disease prevention and control institutes (1.28%). The pass rates of comprehensive capability, service quality, technical capability and information reporting were 90.02%, 69.89%, 84.07% and 86.78%, respectively. Among the indicators of comprehensive capability, the compliance rate for staffing was the highest at 95.06%, while the qualification rate of quality control in occupational health examinations was the lowest at 84.83%. Among the indicators of service quality, the compliance rate of the physical examination report format was the highest at 95.83%, while the accuracy rate of the audiometry examination was the lowest at 76.60%. In terms of technical capabilities, the qualification rates for blood lead testing, pneumoconiosis reading, and audiogram diagnostic ability were 87.92%, 89.42% and 75.34%, respectively. In terms of information reporting, the qualification rates for reporting completeness, reporting timeliness, suspected occupational disease reporting timeliness, and reporting accuracy were 89.10%, 81.09%, 96.47% and 80.45%, respectively. Among the three types of institutions, private institutions had the lowest average qualification rates for comprehensive capability, service quality, and technical capability, which were 89.83%, 69.06% and 80.00%, respectively. Conclusions Public hospitals and private organizations were the main types of occupational health examination institutions in Zhejiang Province. However, there were deficiencies in quality control, audiogram examination and diagnosis, and the accuracy of information reporting among occupational health examination institutions.

Objective To investigate the effect of passive exercise on neural functional recovery after peripheral nerve crushed injury.MethodsThe effect of passive exercise on early peripheral nerve regeneration and recovery of motor function were observed with electrophysiological and histological indexes compared with that of the splinting group.ResultsThe nerve conduction of training group was faster than that in the splinting group,and the latency of compound muscle action potentials(CMAP)was shorter(P<0.05).The thickness of myelin sheath,average numbers of myelinated nerve fibera per area and diameter of regenerating axon in training group were larger than those in the splinting group(P<0.05).The wet weight of sural triceps of training group were bigger than that of the splinting group(P<0.01).ConclusionThe passive exercise can improve the early recovery of motor function and neural regeneration after peripheral nerve crushed injury.

Objective: To examine the associations of occupational stress and well-being with depressive symptoms among couriers. Methods: Four cities of Hangzhou, Ningbo, Jiaxing and Taizhou were sampled from Zhejiang Province according to the economic development level, and couriers were randomly sampled from 40 service stations assigned by 25 mainstream express transportation corporations in these four cities. Participants' occupational stress, well-being and depressive symptoms were evaluated using the Core Occupational Stress Scale (COSS), the World Health Organisation-Five Well-Being Index (WHO-5) and Chinese version of Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9). In addition, the associations of participants' occupational stress and well-being with depressive symptoms were examined using hierarchical linear regression analysis. Results: A total of 1 302 questionnaires were allocated, and 1 136 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 87.25%. The participants included 839 males (73.86%), and 297 females (26.14%), and had a mean age of (33.34±8.17) years and a mean service length of (8.95±7.82) years. The detection rates of occupational stress, low well-being and depressive symptoms were 32.48%, 50.79%, and 31.87% among participants, respectively. After adjustment for educational level, income, marital status and smoking, hierarchical linear regression analysis showed that well-being (β=0.171), social support (β=-0.298), organization and reward (β=0.200), demand and effort dimensions of COSS (β=0.284) were statistically correlated with depressive symptoms (all P<0.001). Conclusion Occupational stress and low well-being may increase the risk of depressive symptoms among couriers.

Background:Studies have confirmed that colorectal tumors may be caused by normal mucosa near or inside the diverticulum,and patients with colon diverticulum are more likely to develop colon cancer than those without diverticulum.When colorectal adenoma involves diverticulum,the inflammatory state in the diverticulum will increase the risk of adenomatous dysplasia.Therefore,adenomas involving colon diverticulum are more likely to develop malignant changes,and adenomas involving colon diverticulum need to be resected to avoid colon cancer outcomes.Improved prognosis.Aims:To explore the efficacy and safety of endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR)treatment of colorectal tumors near or involving a diverticulum.Methods:Fourteen consecutive cases of adenoma(near or involving a diverticulum)during EMR treatment from Jun.2018 to Jan.2022 were collected,and analyze their clinical characteristics and outcomes.The main outcomes were adverse events,including bleeding,perforation,and electrocoagulation syndrome,while the secondary outcome was the total resection rate,block resection rate and local recurrence rate.Results:Among the 14 patients with colon adenoma,1 case was inside the diverticulum,13 cases were near the diverticulum,the diameter of the lesion was(0.76±0.25)cm,the operation time was(19.6±5.33)min.The main tissue types were tubular adenomas,and the pathologic characteristics were low grade intraepithelial neoplasia.Among the complications,delayed hemorrhage was found in 1 case(7.1%),the patient had a history of taking antiplatelet drugs(clopidogrel),electrocoagulation syndrome was found in 1 case(7.1%),and appendiceal orifice and diverticulum were involved in this patient,with no perforation event.The whole resection rate and the complete resection rate were 100%(14/14).Within 1 year after surgery,10 patients came to the hospital for re-examination of colonoscopy,and no local recurrence was found.Conclusions:EMR treatment involving colonic diverticulum adenoma is safe and effective.However,patients with adenoma involving antiplatelet drugs and appendiceal orifice and diverticulum should be alert to postoperative complications.
