Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(01):-
An improved method was described for the determination of tryptophane in foods (maize, rice, millet, wheat, soybean, milk powder substitute, fish protein concentrate and casein) hydrolyed by cyanide-activated papain. The color-deyeloping agent was a mixture of equal volume of 30N sulfuric acid and glacial acetic acid containing 2% acetic anhydride and 27mg% FeC13.6H2O, and its intensity was measured with spectrophotometer at absoption maximum 545nm. The sensitivity was 0.2?g of tryptophane per ml of tested solution through 1cm length. The recovery was found to be between 96-104%. By comparing noncyanide and cyanide-activated papain for analysis of varieties of maize the mean tryptophane values were 50.1 mg% and 68.7mg% respectively, and the difference was very significant (p

Journal of International Oncology 2006;0(11):-
The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is overexpressed in many epithelial cancers, and is commonly caused by EGFR gene amplification and gene mutations. The most frequently occurring variant, the type III mutation (EGFRvIII) ,is characterized by an inframe deletion of exons 2-7 of the coding sequence. It is expressed only in tumors and not found in normal tissues, and therefore represents an attractive therapeutic target. The tumor therapy methods targeted for EGFRvIII include immu-notherapy, ribozyme, RNA interference, etc.

Objective: To investigate the effect of recombinant BCG secreting IL-2 (rBCG-IL-2) on peritoneal macrophages of mouse and inquire into the effect of rBCG-IL-2 on immunity of host. Methods: Gene engineering technology, electricity transfer- ence and inoculation tumor cell are adopted; MTT assay is used to determine tumoricidal effect of macrophages. Results: Tumo- ricidal effect of macrophages of rBCG-IL-2 groups was higher than those of the control coups and BCG groups, and the tumorici- dal effect of macrophages could reach a high state in a week. Conclusion: rBCG-IL-2 can raise tumoricidal effect of macrophages, improve immunity of host and is a prospect biological preparation.

Piroxicam has polymorphism. Different crystalline forms can exhibit different physicochemical properties and biological activities. Analysis of the intermolecular interactions is essential to reveal the formation mechanism and differences of polymorphs. In this paper, Hirshfeld surface analysis and semi-empirical methods were used to calculate and analyze the intermolecular interactions in seven polymorphic forms of piroxicam. The results show that the Hirshfeld surface analysis method can clearly and intuitively reveal the intermolecular interactions, among which H…H, O…H/H…O and N…H/H…N interactions account for 95% of the total energy. There are differences in the proportion and distribution of the forces of different crystal forms. The energy calculation shows that the lattice energy of the hydrate is significantly lower than that of the anhydrous forms, and in the specific energy distribution, the contribution of the dispersion force is the most prominent. Further interaction energy analysis was found that within the distance of 3.8 Å from the center of the piroxicam molecule, different crystalline forms of piroxicam molecule have different interaction energies with surrounding molecules.

Objective To study the state of erythrocyte immune function in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia, and analyze the influence of various clinical status on erythrocyte immune function. Methods Fifty-two neonates with hyperbilirubinemia were enrolled and 104 healthy neonates as the control group. The adherence rate of complement 3b-receptor on the surface of red blood cell(RBC-C3bRR) and the immune complex adherence rate of red blood cell(RBC-ICR) were detected with erythrocyte saccha-romycete rosettet test. Results 1.The level of RBC-C3bRR in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia was lower than that in control group, and the level of RBC-ICR in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia was higher than that of control group(Pa0.05).3.Comparing the neonates with unconjugated bilirubin of different concentrations, there were significant difference in RBC-ICR(Pa0.05).4.There were positive correlation between RBC-ICR and bilirubin, unconjugated bilirubin in the neonates(Pa0.05).Conclusion Erythrocyte immune function in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia is obviously lower than that of control group and it is influenced by the concentratron of bilirubin and the time of phototherapy.

Nowadays, nanotechnologies have shown wide application foreground in the biomedical field of medicine laboratory tests, drug delivery, gene therapy and bioremediation. However, in recent years, nanomaterials have been labeled poisonous, because of the disputes and misunderstandings of mainstream views on their safety. Besides, for the barriers of technical issues in preparation like: (1) low efficacy (poor PK & PD and low drug loading), (2) high cost (irreproducibility and difficulty in scale up), little of that research has been successfully translated into commercial products. Currently, along with the new theory of "physical damage is the origin of nanotoxicity", biodegradability and biocompatibility of nanomaterials are listed as the basic principle of safe application of nanomaterials. Combining scientific design based on molecular level with precision control of process engineering will provide a new strategy to overcome the core technical challenges. New turning point of translational medicine in nanotechnology may emerge.

A systematic review was undertaken, including studies that evaluated the incidence of the blood system adverse events of Tripterygium wilfordii (TWP). Medline, Embase and the Cochrane library were searched for relevant studies, including RCT, cohort studies and case series, of patients treated with TWP published in English and Chinese from inception up until May 25th, 2013 with the keywords including "Tripterygium wilfordii", "toxicity", "reproductive", "side effect", "adverse", "safety" and "tolerability". Relevant information was extracted and the incidence of the blood system adverse events was pooled with MetaAnalyst software. Besides, subgroup and sensitivity analyses were performed based on age, mode of medicine, observation time and disease system. According to inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 49 articles were included in the meta-analysis, they were split into 54 researches incorporated in the analysis. There is a large degree of heterogeneity among the studies, so data was analyzed using random-effects model and the summary estimates of incidence of the blood system adverse events was 6.1%. The weighted combined incidence of three major blood system adverse events were white-blood cells decreasing 5.6% (95% CI, 4.3% - 7.3%), hemoglobin decreasing 1.7% (95% CI, 0.5% - 5.0%) and platelet decreasing 1.8% (95% CI, 1.0% - 3.1%), respectively . Sensitivity analyses based on 45 studies with high quality showed the combined value was close to the summary estimate of total 54 studies. The current evidence indicates that the incidence of the blood system adverse events induced by TWP was high; attentions should be paid on to the prevention and treatment of the blood system adverse events.
