BACKGROUND:Both local infiltration analgesia and femoral nerve block are used for the pain management after total knee arthroplasty. Controversy stil remains regarding the optimal technique for pain relief. OBJECTIVE:To systematical y evaluate analgesic effects of local infiltration analgesia and femoral nerve block after total knee arthroplasty. METHODS:Databases including PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science and CBM, were comprehensively searched to identify randomized control ed studies comparing local infiltration analgesia with femoral nerve block. Two reviewers independently selected trials, included literatures, extracted data, and assessed the methodological qualities of included studies according to Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions Version 5.1.0. When there were different opinions, it was decided by the third author. Data were analyzed by RevMan 5.3 software. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) Eleven randomized control ed trials involving 566 patients were included. (2) At 24 and 48 hours (h) after surgery, there were no significant differences between the local infiltration analgesia and femoral nerve block groups, in Visual Analog Scale scores [MD24 h=0.15, 95%CI (-0.26, 1.28), P>0.05;MD48 h=0.19, 95%CI (-0.06, 0.44), P>0.05] in the resting state, and [MD24 h=-0.01, 95%CI (-0.51, 0.48), P>0.05;MD48h=0.18, 95%CI (-0.45, 0.82), P>0.05] in the active state, amount of analgesic drug use [MD24 h=-2.23, 95%CI (-5.63, 1.16), P>0.05;MD48 h=2.44, 95%CI (-1.08, 5.95), P>0.05], hospital stay [MD=0.05, 95%CI (-0.40, 0.50), P>0.05], postoperative nausea and vomiting [OR=1.09, 95%CI (0.39, 3.04), P>0.05] and postoperative infection [OR=0.99, 95%CI (0.44, 2.59), P>0.05]. (3) These results indicated that the analgesic effect of local infiltration analgesia was identical to that of femoral nerve block after total knee arthroplasty. Due to its simple operation, local infiltration analgesia can be used as a standard analgesia method after total knee arthroplasty.
4.Role of placental growth factor in neovascularage-related macular degeneration
International Eye Science 2015;(5):796-798
? Choroidal neovascularization is the primary pathogenesis of neovascularage - related macular degeneration ( nAMD ) , and the role of vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF ) in neovascularization has been widely recognized. Currently, drugs target different targets of VEGF have been widely used in the treatment of nAMD. As a subtype of VEGF, placental growth factor ( PlGF) has synergistic effects with VEGF-A on promoting angiogenesis, stimulating the migration of endothelial cell proliferation and mediating immune inflammatory response. There is no expression of PlGF in mature blood vessels so PlGF hashigh specificity. ln this paper, the role of PlGF in the pathogenesis and treatment of nAMD is reviewed.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the mechanism of retinoic acid (RA) signal in dental evolution, RA is used to explore the influence of the mechanism on neural crest's migration during the early stage of zebra fish embryos.
METHODSWe divided embryos of wild type and transgenic line zebra fish into three groups. 1 x 10(-7) to 6 x 10(-7) mol x L(-1) RA and 1 x 10(-7) mo x L(-1) 4-diethylaminobenzaldehyde (DEAB) were added into egg water at 24 hpf for 9 h. Dimethyl sulfoxid (DMSO) with the concentration was used as control group. Then, antisense probes of dlx2a, dlx2b, and barxl were formulated to perform whole-mount in situ hybridization to check the expressions of the genes in 48 hpf to 72 hpf embryos. We observed fluorescence of transgenic line in 4 dpf embryos.
RESULTSWe obtained three mRNA probes successfully. Compared with DMSO control group, a low concentration (1 x 10(-7) mol x L(-1)) of RA could up-regulate the expression of mRNA (barx1, dlx2a) in neural crest. Obvious migration trend was observed toward the pharyngeal arch in which teeth adhered. Transgenic fish had spreading fluorescence tendency in pharyngeal arch. However, a high concentration (4 x 10(-7) mol x L(-1)) of RA malformed the embryos and killed them after treatment. One third of the embryos of middle concentration (3 x 10(-7) mo x L(-1)) exhibited delayed development. DEAB resulted in neural crest dysplasia. The expression of barxl and dlx2a were suppressed, and the appearance of dlx2b in tooth was delayed.
CONCLUSIONRA signal pathway can regulate the progenitors of tooth by controlling the growth of the neural crest and manipulating tooth development

OBJECTIVEThis study aims to investigate the expression of connexin 43 (cx43) gene during early development in zebra fish and provide a foundation for further research of cx43 gene in tooth development.
METHODSTotal RNA was extracted within 72 h after fertilization of zebra fish embryos and then reversed transcribed to generate the cDNA library. The specific fragments of the cx43 gene were then cloned and connected to the PGEMT vector. After confirming the constructed plasmid, the corresponding RNA polymerase was chosen, and the digoxin-labeled anti-sense mRNA probe of cx43 was synthesized in vitro. The cx43 gene expression of zebra fish indifferent stages was carried out by in situ hybridization. The relationship of the cx43 gene expression and anatomy of the pharyngeal teeth were compared by alizarin red staining.
RESULTSThe mRNA antisense probe of cx43 was acquired. The positive signal of sepia was observed in the different stages of zebra fish pharyngeal teeth after fertilization. After fertilization for 9 days, the expression site of cx43 in situ hybridization was overlapped in accordance with the anatomical site of the pharyngeal teeth.
CONCLUSIONcx43 gene participates in tooth development and mineralization process and plays a crucial role in later mineralization.

The definition of critical quality attributes of Chinese materia medica ( CMM) was put forward based on the top-level design concept. Nowadays, coupled with the development of rapid analytical science, rapid assessment of critical quality attributes of CMM was firstly carried out, which was the secondary discipline branch of CMM. Taking near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy as an example, which is a rapid analytical technology in pharmaceutical process over the past decade, systematic review is the chemometric parameters in NIR model evaluation. According to the characteristics of complexity of CMM and trace components analysis, a multi-source information fusion strategy of NIR model was developed for assessment of critical quality attributes of CMM. The strategy has provided guideline for NIR reliable analysis in critical quality attributes of CMM.
