[Objective] To investigate the clinical efficacy of nasal endoscopic assisted by-mouth low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation for treating the children with adenoid hypertrophy.[Methods] Seventy patients with adenoid hypertrophy were divided by random digits table method into treatment group and control group with 35 cases each.The patients in control group underwent traditional by-mouth adenoidectomy,while the patients in treatment group were treated with nasal endoscopic assisted by-mouth low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation.The operative time and intraoperative blood loss in two groups were calculated.The children were followed up for 6-12 months and the clinical efficacy of snoring,nasal obstruction and hearing and the postoperative complications were observed.[Results]The intrsoperative blood loss in treatment group was significantly lower than that in control group[(2.23±0.74)ml vs.(24.58±8.19)ml](t=19.733,P ＜ 0.01).The total efficiency of snoring,nasal obstruction and hearing in treatment group was 91.4％(32/35),82.9％(29/35)and 77.1％(27/35),respectively,and which was significantly higher than that in control group[68.6％(24/35),62.9％(22/35)and 57.1％(20/35)](x2 =5.354,5.293,5.421,P＜0.01).There,was no residual adenoid and adenoidal hypertrophy recurrence in treatment group,while the postoperative residual adenoid rate in control group was 91.4％(32/35),the adenoidal hypertrophy recurrence rate was 20.0％(7/35).There was significant difference in postoperative complication incidence between two groups(x2 =9.391,P ＜ 0.01).[Conclusions] Nasal endoscopic assisted by-mouth low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation for treating the children with adenoid hypertrophy has better clinical efficacy,less intraoperative blood loss,no postoperative residual and other complications.It is an ideal method for treating the children with adenoid hypertrophy and worthy of clinical application.

The aim of this study is to clarify whether edaravone postconditioning had protective effect against renal ischemia/reperfusion injury and to compare the protective effect between ischemic postconditioning and edaravone postconditioning. Rats were subjected to 45 min ischemia followed by 24 h reperfusion. The rats were randomly assigned to seven groups: a sham-operated control group, an ischemia/reperfusion group, an ischemic postconditioning group, a normal saline vehicle postconditioning group and an edaravone postconditioning (1, 3, and 6 mg x kg(-1)) group. Renal function was assessed by serum creatinine and BUN concentration, while histological damage of renal tissue was assessed with HE staining. MDA content and SOD activity of renal tissue were determined. TUNEL staining was performed to analyze the apoptosis of the tubular epithelial cells, the protein level of Bcl-2 and Bax in renal tissue was examined by Western blotting. Compared to the ischemia/reperfusion group, edaravone postconditioning significantly decreased serum creatinine and BUN concentration, and ameliorated histological damage of renal tissue. MDA was less after 24 h reperfusion in the edaravone postconditioning group than that in the ischemia/reperfusion group, consistent with an increase in SOD activity. In addition, edaravone postconditioning decreased TUNEL-positive cells and Bax expression, and increased Bcl-2 expression. Results detected in the edaravone postconditioning group showed no significant difference from the ischemic postconditioning group. Edaravone administered during the last 3 min of ischemia, prior to reperfusion induces a pharmacological postconditioning in vivo against renal ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats. This protection is similar to that observed with ischemic postconditioning.

Objective To analyze the prevention and control condition of infectious diseases of national health cities of prefecture and county level and non-national health cities in Shandong province according to the requirement to create national health cities.Methods To select 15 cities in Shandong province as the research object,including the 5 prefecture-level national health cities,5 county-level national health cities and 5 non-national health city closer to the national health situation.The survey status of infectious diseases,infectious morbidity and children′s vaccination status were analyzed,respectively.Results From 2005 to 2008,registration reporting rate,timeliness rate,accuracy rate and integrity rate of legal infectious diseases increased to 99％ or more.Direct reporting network coverage rate of 1infectious diseases and public health emergencies reached 100％.No type A and B infectious diseases outbreak occurred.The incidences of hepatitis B,dysentery and tuberculosis of national health city were all lower than the rates of non-state health cities and the national average level.The care rate of mobile children living more than 3 months and the immunization rate reached 100％ at county-level cities.Immunization rates of child 4 vaccines and hepatitis B vaccination were more than 99％ annually in the year 2007 and 2008.Conclusions The status of prevention and treatment of infectious diseases is effective.The national health city had a more powerful emergency response ability in Shandong province.

Objective To investigate the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP)in p21and p27 genes with the risk of epithelial ovarian cancer(EOC).Methods Genotypes were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-restrictive fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP)method in 234 patients with EOC and 284 control women in China.Results (1)The frequencies of the p21 in healthy controls were 34.2%.49.6%and 16.2%,while the distribution of the C and T allele was 59.0%and 41.0%,respectively.The p21 C/C(28.2%),C/T(53.0%),T/T(18.8%)distribution in ovarian cancer patients was not significantly different from that in healthy controls(P＞0.05).There was no statistic difference in allele distribution between ovarian cancer patients and healthy controls(P＞0.05)either.The stratification analysis by tumor histological type did show that the genotype distribution in four types of ovarian cancer patients was significantly different from that in healthy controls(P=0.02).The C/C genotype was likely to reduce the risk of epithelial endometrial cancer.and the adjusted odds ratio was 0.56(95%CI:0.32-0.98).(2)The genotype frequencies of the p27 in healthy controls were 88.4%,10.9%and 0.7%.while the distribution of the V and G allele was 93.8%and 6.2%.respectively.The V/V(93.6%),V/G(5.1%)and G/G(1.3%)distribution in ovarian cancer patients was significantly different from that in healthy controls(P=0.04).There was no statistic difference in allele distributionbetween ovarian cancer patients and healthy controls(P＞0.05).Compared with the V/G and G/G genotypes,the V/V genotype increased the risk of EOC,the adjusted odds ratio was 1.92(95%CI:1.02-3.63).Conclusion The C/C genotype of p21 may reduce the risk of epithelial endometrial cancer,and the genotype of p27 V/V may be a potential risk factor for susceptibility to EOC.

Objective To evaluate the effects of dexmedetomidine on dreaming during general anesthesia in pediatric patients.Methods A total of 400 pediatric patients of both sexes,aged 5-12 yr,with body mass index of 15.2-18.1 kg/m2,of American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status Ⅰ,undergoing elective orthopedic surgery under general anesthesia,were randomly divided into control group (group C,n=200) and dexmedetomidine group (group D,n =200) according to the computer-generated random numeral order and numeral parity.Dexmedetomidine was infused intravenously in a loading dose of 0.5 μg/kg over 10 min before induction of anesthesia followed by infusion of 0.5 μg · kg-1 · h-1 until 30 min before the end of surgery in group D,while the equal volume of normal saline was given instead of dexmedetomidine in group C.The pediatric patients who regained consciousness and recovered orientation in post-anesthesia care unit were interviewed for dreaming using a modified Brice questionnaire,and the dream (emotion,hearing and behaviours in dreams,memories for dreams) was evaluated using a 5-point Likert scale.Results Compared with group C,the incidence of dreaming was significantly decreased,the memory score was decreased (P＜0.05),and no significant change was found in emotion,hearing and behaviour scores in dreams in group D (P＞0.05).Conclusion Dexmedetomidine can decrease the development of dreaming during general anesthesia and produces no effect on the content of dreams (most are pleasant) in pediatric patients.

Objective To evaluate the systolic function in patients with preeclampsia using three-dimensional speckle tracking imaging (3D-STI) technology.Methods Totally 73 patients with mild preeclampsia (mild group),64 patients with severe preeclampsia (severe group) and 60 healthy pregnant women with matched age and gestational weeks (control group) were enrolled in this study.All the biochemical indicators and conventional echocardiogram parameters were detected.The left ventricular global longitudinal systolic peak strain (GLS),global radial systolic peak strain (GRS),global circulation systolic peak strain (GCS) and global area systolic peak strain (GAS) were measured using 3D-STI,and the dyssynchronization index of area strain (ASDI) was calculated in all three groups.The correlation between sensitive three dimensional strain and biochemical indexes and echocardiogram parameters were analyzed.Results Compared with control group,the left atrial diameter (LAD) increased,E/A decreased in severe group,Tei index increased in turn at control group,mild group and severe group (all P＜0.05).Compared with control group,the |GLS| and |GAS| reduced and ASDI was increased in mild group,the changes were more significant in severe group.The GRS and GCS were also appeared lower in severe group (all P＜0.05).The correlation analysis showed a negative correlation between |GLS| and Tei index (r=-0.471,P=0.036),a positive correlation between | GAS| and LVEF (r=0.051,P=0.028),a negative correlation between | GAS| and Tei index (r=-0.612,P =0.017),a negative correlation between ASDI and H-FABP (r=-0.525,P=0.046),a positive correlation between ASDI and Tei index (r=0.489,P=0.037).Conclusion The myocardial strain capacity of left ventricular decrease and systolic function are significantly impaired in patients with preeclampsia.The 3D-STI technology can early noninvasively assess the change of left ventricular systolic function in patients with preeclampsia.

Objective: Study on the growth character of B16 melanoma cell which can express angiostatin. Methods: Angiostatin gene was constructed from human plasminogen cDNA by deletion mutation. A B16 melanoma cell clone named BAG28 which stably expresses angiostatin was established by introducing gene into it. Results: BAG28 in vitro had no changes in proliferation rate and the ability of clone formation in soft agar. Study in vitro showed that the tumor weight had reduced about 87% ( P
