1.Expression of activator protein-1 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from patients with dermatomyositis and glucocorticoid effect on the expression
Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2011;44(12):889-890
Objective To investigate the expression of activator protein-1 (AP-1) in PBMCs from patients with dermatomyositis (DM) and glucocorticoid effect on the expression. Methods PBMCs were isolated from 15 normal human controls and 20 patients (including 12 patients with primary DM who had never received glucocorticoid treatment and 8 patients with recurrent DM who had stopped glucocorticoid treatment for more than 1 month),and classified into two parts:one was cultured in RPMI 1640 medium with dexamethasone of 80 μmol/L and 10% calf serum for 48 hours, and the other was frozen at -80 ℃ and reserved.Electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA) was carried out to detect the activity of AP-1 in these cells. Results The expression (grayscale area) of AP-1 in the PBMCs from the normal controls was 4.93 ± 0.15 mm2.A significant decrease was induced by the treatment with dexamethasone in the expression (grayscale area) of AP-1 from PBMCs of patients with primary DM and those with recurrent DM (5.59 ± 0.39 vs.30.23 ± 0.49 mm2,5.69 ± 0.39 vs.34.79 ± 0.61 mm2,F =13812.64,P < 0.01 ).The activity of AP-1 was statistically higher in the PBMCs from patients with recurrent DM than in those from patients with primary DM before the treatment with dexamethasone (P < 0.01 ).Conclusions The enhanced activity of AP-1 may be an important factor inducing the inflammatory reaction in and recurrence of DM.Glucocorticoids may suppress the AP-1 activity to a certain degree.

Journal of International Oncology 2006;0(11):-
Some phytoestrogen-containing Chinese herbs have both estrogenic and antiestrogenic activity. With the development of phgtoestrogen study and the application of herbs in breast cancer, phytoestrogen-containing herbs become the hot researches, but consensus is hampered by conflicting data from various in vitro and in vivo experiments. This article will address the effects of some kinds of herbs on breast cancer cell proliferation, the mechanism and their biological activity. The review will focus on 3 popular botanical herb: Angelica sinensis (dong quai) , Salvia miltiorrhiza (dan-shen root) and ginseng.

Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2008;0(S1):-
Objective To establish the quality control standard for Shuxiong soft capsule. Method Radix et Rhizoma Notoginseng, Rhizoma Chuanxiong were identified by TLC, and the content of Ginsenoside Rg1 were detdrmined by HPLC. Result The TLC sports developed was fairly clear. The HPLC method showed good repeatability, and the average recovery of quercitrin was 97.21%, RSD=0.65%. Conclusion The method is simple, accurate and can effectively control the quality of Shuxiong soft capsule.

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1995;0(04):-
Objective To study the relationship between cerebral vascular disease (CVD) and meteorological factors. Methods From 1998 to 2002, 6186 patients with CVD in Qingdao urban were studied. There were 1179 cases of intracerebral hemorrhage (CH), 4821cases of cerebral infarction (CI) and 186 cases of subarachnoid hemorrage (SAH). The relationship between the onset of CVD and meteorological factors including temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, wind velocity was analyzed by circular distribution analysis, Pearson correlation and multiple stepwise regression. Results High incidence of CH was found in winter and the mean angle was in January ((P

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
The present in vitro study on rat liver microsomal lipid per-oxidation showed that Gypenosides ( GP ) , the total saponin of Gy-nostemma pentaphyllum Makino, produced a marked inhibitory effect on the lipid peroxidation either spontaneously or induced by Fe2+-cystein, Vit C-NADPH and CCl4. The inhibitory effect was found to be stronger than that of Ginsenosides. GP also resisted the decrease of fluidity of liver microsomal and mitochondrial membrane induced by Fe2+-cystein.

Objective To investigate the methods and effects of anterolateral thigh flap reconstruction of the complicated hip decubitus. Methods The study contained 24 cases of grade Ⅳ hip decubitus reconstructed with anterograde pedicled anterolateral thigh flaps through May 2010 to July 2014.There were 13 males and 11 females, aged 26-64 years (mean 54 years).Defects ranged in size from 12 cm×6 cm to 24 cm× 12 cm.Dimensions of flaps harvested were 14 cm ×8 cm to 30 cm× 14 cm.Eighteen cases of the donor sites were directly sutured and six covered with full thickness skin. Results Twenty-two flaps survived completely, and wound was healed by the first intension. Two flaps developed partial distal necrosis, and wound was healed after dressing treatment.Period of follow-up was 6 months to 2 years.Shape, texture and color of the flaps were well matched with the recipient area. Conclusion The anterolateral thigh flap transplantation has advantages of similarity to the recipient area, large enough flap area and sound expected effective and is a good method for repair of hip decubitus.

Microbiology 1992;0(06):-
Cell viability of Pichia pastoris was detected by flow cytometry (FCM) with two reagents fluorescein diacetate (FDA) and propidium iodide (PI). Compared with FDA/PI double-stained dot plots and PI single-stained dot plots, the latter could divide dead and living cells into two separate zones, and get the correct proportion. Then PI single-stained method was used to detect the change of cell viability in Pichia patoris fermentation. At glycerol batch and fed-batch phase, little dead cells were detected. At methanol fed-batch phase, cell viability decreased when cell weight increased, and was only 73.8% at 88 h.

Purpose:To explore the preventive effect of hepatic arterial infusion (DDS) against recurrence of hepato- cellular carcinoma (HCC) after radical resection. Methods:From Jan,1996 to May,1998,287 patients of HCC after radical resection were randomly divided into four groups:intra-hepatic arterial infusion(97),intra-portal vein(80),intra-hepatic artery and portal vein (60),control (50).All patients received chemotherapy for two years and observed for postoperative recurrence of HCC.Results:The postoperative recurrence rate of HCC with intra-hepatic arterial infusion was significantly lower than that of intra-portal vein (P0.05).The 1~、2~ and 3~year survival rate of intra-hepatic arterial infusion was significantly higher than any of the other groups.Conclusions:Intra-hepatic arterial infusion (DDS) through gastro-duodenal artery can effectively pro- long the postoperative survival and decrease the post-operative recurrence rate of HCC.The preventive method of DDS through gastro-duodenal artery was safer and effective.
