AIM: To analyze and summarize the effect of glaucoma trabeculectomy in the department of ophthalmology in basic hospital.
METHODS: Postoperative intraocular pressure ( IOP ) , filtering bleb and complications of 316 cases (405 eyes) of patients with glaucoma after trabeculectomy were analyzed.
RESULTS: After follow- up 12mo, 76. 5% IOP was controlled in normal level. 42. 5% was filtration bleb typeⅠ, 33. 1% typeII, 14. 6% in typeⅢand 9. 9% in typeⅣ. Intraoperative complication rate was 2. 5%, that was 31.4% at postoperative early stage ( before discharge ) , and 6. 7% at postoperative long - term ( 6mo after discharge) .
CONCLUSION:Trabeculectomy for glaucoma can better solve the problem of high IOP. It is more mature in primary hospitals, but there are still a variety of intraoperative and postoperative complications.

Objective To find out households consumption of iodized salt in Xinjian county, and to provide scientific basis for prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency disorders(IDD). Methods From 2006 - 2010 in Jiangxi province, according to the direction of east, west, south, and north, nine townships(streets) were selected,in each township (street), 4 administrative villages (committees) were selected, in each administrative village(committee) 8 households were selected to collect their edible salt each year, direct titration method was adopted to detect salt iodine. Results From 2006 - 2010 a total of 1440 salt samples were collected, of which 1379 were qualified iodized salt, 34 unqualified, 27 non-iodized salt; iodized salt coverage rate, qualified iodized salt and iodized salt consumption rates were 98.13% (1413/1440), 97.59% (1379/1413) and 95.76% (1379/1440),respectively, and the rate of non-iodized salt was 1.88% (27/1440). Conclusions The intake rate of qualified iodized salt in Xinjian county have reached the standards of eliminating IDD. The quality of iodized salt should be improved in few counties. In the future, we should also increase the use of various forms advocacy of IDD prevention and treatment, and educate the masses to enhance self-protection awareness, so that they can consciously resist the salt smuggling, and refuse to buy non-iodized salt.

Objective 99Tcm-4,9-diaza-3,3,10,10-tetramethyldodecan-2,11-dione dioxime(HL91),a new type of hypoxic agents, accumulates in tumor hypoxic tissue specifically. The aim of this study was to evaluate the value of 99Tcm-HL91 imaging in the diagnosis of bone metastasis. Methods Nineteen cases with bone metastasis(without any treatment)and 8 cases with benign lesions underwent SPECT imaging at 4 h after injection of 740 MBq of 99Tcm-HL91 along with 99Tcm-methylene diphosphonic acid(MDP)imaging.Regions of interest(ROIs)were drawn in tumor tissue and contralateral normal tissue respectively, and the radioactivity ratios of tumor-to-normal(T/N)were calculated. The t-test was used for data analysis with SPSS 11.0.Results There were visible uptake of 99Tcm-HL91 in 79 out of 85 focuses in 19 patients of bone metastasis;however, there was no obvious uptake of 99Tcm-HL91 in 12 focuses of 8 patients of benign lesions.Significant difference existed between the T/N values of malignant(1.877±0.288)and benign lesions[(0.735±0.236);t=13.065,P<0.05].However,the T/N value of bone metastasis from lung cancer did not differ with that from prostate cancer(1.915±0.344 and 1.825±0.175,respectively;t=1.378,P>0.05).Conclusion The results indicated that 99Tcm-HL91 was useful in diagnosing the malignant and benign bone lesions.

Objective To investigate the clinical features, recanalization after medical treatment and clinical outcome of cerebral artery dissection. Methods We reviewed the clinical records of ischemic stroke patients with cerebral artery dissection who visited the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University between October 2010 and December 2013.We recorded patients' general information, neurological deficit, imaging and clinical treatment. We followed up the patients and statistically analyzed demographic data, recanalization and clinical outcome. Results Among 28 cases of cerebral artery dissection, carotid dissection was the most common (n =19,67.9%),followed by vertebral artery dissection (n =7,25.0%),while the combination of carotid and vertebral artery dissection was rare (n =2,7.1%).In the imaging of cerebral artery dissection, wire beads and occlusion were the most common signs (n =15,53.6%),followed by rat tail sign (n =7,25.0%),aneurysmal dilatation (n =4,14.3%) and dualchamber levy (n =2,7.1%).There were 18 cases of acute cerebral infarction in the 28 studied cases, but there was no significant difference between the degree of stenosis and cerebral infarction caused by cerebral artery dissection. All patients received standard antithrombotic therapy. The difference of the recanalization rate between using anti-platelet aggregation and anticoagulant therapy was not statistically significant (5/6 vs 9/13,P =0.37).Conclusions Although cerebral artery dissection is relatively rare clinically, the typical clinical manifestations of the disease and the characteristic imaging are helpful for the diagnosis.Standardization of antithrombotic treatment is still the first-line treatment of cerebral artery dissection.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2004;0(09):-
Objective To discuss the effects and methods of the surgical treatment of complex humeral nonunion. Methods Ten cases of scleroid humeral nonunion were treated by compressive interlocking medullary nailing and autografting of iliac bone.Fifteen cases of humeral nonunion combined with osteomyelitis or osteoporosis were treated with grafting of free vascularized fibular flaps. Results All the cases were followed up for six months to six years. They all obtained bone union. The average time of bone union was 3.1 months for the free vascularized fibular grafting group and 3.8 months for the interlocking medullary nail group. Conclusions Compressive interlocking medullary nailing and autografting of iliac bone is effective for scleroid humeral nonunion, while grafting of free vascu- larized fibular flaps is effective for humeral nonunion combined with osteomyelitis or osteoporosis because the free vas- cularized fibular grafting can well reconstruct the defective humerus bone with osteoporosis or osteomyelitis.
