Objective To investigate the effects of rapamycin eluting stent(Cypher~(TM)) and metal bare stent on the prognosis and C-reactive protein(CRP) in elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).(Methods The) immediate angiographic and clinic follow-up outcomes of 45 elderly patients with AMI reciving Cypher~(TM) and bare stent were retrospectively analyzed.CRP levels in Cypher~(TM) and bare stent groups were determined before implantation,6 h,1 d,7 d and 30 d after implantation.Clinical follow-up and major coronary events analysis were developed after operation.Results 27 rapamycin eluting stents were implanted in patients of Cypher~(TM) group and(26 bare) stents were implanted in patients of bare stent group.The Cypher~(TM) stents were successfully implanted with 100%.In patients of Cypher~(TM) group,no serious complications were found in the term of operation and in hospital.There was no restenosis,revascularization and events.In patients of bare stent group,except for(1 patients) with sudden death,angina pectoris occurred in 2 patients,repeat angiography showed that there were new lesions in other coronary arteries of these patients.Restenosis attacked in 2 patients.The concentrations of CRP in Cypher~(TM) and bare stent groups 6 h and 7 d after operation were much higher than that of(pre-operation (P

Objective:we aim to determine the relationship between Cell sarcoma (c-Src) expression in patients with EOC and the disease phenotype.Methods:c-Src expression was evaluated using Western blotting analysis in 21 ovarian carcinomas and 4 normal ovarian tissues.Immunohistochemistry was used to evaluate c-Src expression in 134 ovarian carcinomas and 26 normal ovarian tissues.The association between c-Src expression and clinically pathologic characteristics were also assessed in these patients.Results:Our results indicated elevated c-Src protein in EOCs compared with that in normal tissues.The overexpression of c-Src was significantly associated with aggressive features,such as advanced disease stage,poor histological grade,lymph node metastasis,and tumor recurrence (P＜0.05).In addition,the overexpression ofc-Src is significantly associated with EOCs' prognosis.Conclusion:c-Src overexpression was significantly associated with the malignant biological behavior of tumor,suggesting c-Src as a potential preventive target in these patients.

BACKGROUND:Neural stem cel s with self-proliferation and differentiation potential are the ideal seed cel s for central nervous tissue engineering. Although col agen and silk fibroin as biological scaffold materials have been widely used, both of them used alone have certain shortcomings. Is it possible to combine the two materials to build a novel neural tissue-engineered scaffold? What is the effect of this novel scaffold on the growth and differentiation of neural stem cel s? OBJECTIVE:To observe the growth and differentiation of neural stem cel s seeded onto the novel composite scaffold. METHODS:The rat embryonic neural stem cells were inoculated onto new composite scaffolds, and then, their growth and differentiation were observed by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Neural stem cells were cultured in conventional suspension culture as control group. Cell counting kit-8 assay was used to detect viability of neural stem cells in the two groups. Three-dimensional composite scaffolds carrying neural stem cells were slic ed into paraffin sections to observe the growth and differentiation of neural stem cells by hematoxylin-eosin staining and immunofluorescence staining. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Neural stem cel s cultured on the new composite scaffold grew and differentiated wel , and interconnected synapses were observed. Cel counting kit-8 assay showed that neural stem cel s on the scaffold grew wel , and the cel viability was significantly higher in the composite scaffold group than that in the control group (P<0.05). Hematoxylin-eosin staining and immunofluorescence staining of paraffin sections further provided evidence for good growth and differentiation of neural stem cel s on the scaffold. These results indicate that the novel composite scaffold with good biocompatibility benefits the growth and differentiation of neural stem cel s, promising a favorable application prospect.

To analyze the reality of ectopic pregnancy patients' clinical medication, find out the association rules of chemical medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, HIS data from 15 grade III-A general hospitals were collected, descriptive statistic methods and association rules were used in analysis of the data. The results showed that the most commonly used western medicine types were antibiotics,hemostatic medicine and killing embryo medicine. The most commonly used traditional Chinese medicine types were heat clearing and detoxicating drugs, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis drugs, tonifying Qi and blood drugs. The common combinations of western medicine and Chinese medicine were heat clearing and detoxicating drug add antibiotics, heat clearing and detoxicating drug add hemostatic medicine, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis drug add antibiotics, tonifying Qi and blood drug add antibiotics. In conclusion, the medicine types of ectopic pregnancy were concentrated. For conbined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine, heat clearing and detoxicating, tonic righting, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis treatment were often used on the basis of anti-inflammatory, killing embryo and hemostasis.

BACKGROUND:The traditional method of preparing tissue-engineered conduit has the defects of complex shape manufacturing and uncontrolable inner space structure, which cannot meet the requirements of some micro-catheters.
OBJECTIVE:To prepare a bionic spinal catheter and analyze its performance.
METHODS:The data model of the conduit was established using Solid Works software, and platform scan path was generated onthree-dimensionalprinter to produce the bionic spinal catheter with fibroin and colagen as raw materials. Then the water absorption, porosity, mechanical properties and celular compatibility of the conduits were detected. Next, the conduits were implanted into the subcutaneous tissue of rats and taken out at 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks after surgery, respectively, to observe the degradation.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The porosity of the conduit was (53.6±1.0)%, the water absorption was (1347±19.4)%, and the compression modulus was (0.60±0.12) MPa. The micropores distributed uniformly with different size ranging from 10 to 240 μm. Spherical or fusiform stem cels survived in the pores and densely adhered to the conduit with pseudopodia. The degradation rate ofthe conduit was 20%, 59%, 74%and 100% at 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks after surgery, respectively. These findings indicate that the artificial bionic spinal catheter has good biocompatibility and degradability.

Background The integration of segregated pathways from the two eyes first appears in V1 neurons,where it not only plays a critical role in the generation of a three-dimensional visual representation.Abnormal visual experiences in critical period usually lead to amblyopia and binocular integration defects.Objective Present study was to investigate how neurons of kitten coordinate their activity patterns in response to synchronous dichoptic stimulus inputs in striate cortex.Methods Spike rate and local field potential(LFP) gamma band(20-90Hz) power of three kitten(1-1.2Kg,8-10 weeks old) to monocular and synchronous dichoptic presented gratings were assessed for 28 binocular neurons in V1 of kitten by in vivo extracellular record method under anaesthesia and paralysis.Ocular dominance index(ODI) and binocular integration index(BII) were assessed and the correlation between these two indexes were analyzed.Results In 28 cells with binocular characteristic,the absolute value of spike-ODI was significant larger than that of LFP-ODI(t=2.606,P=0.021).A positive linear correlation between the ocular preferences of spike and LFP was found(R2=0.513,F=27.423,P=0.003).In dichotic trails,binocular facilitation with BII for spike was 2.348±0.996,showing a significant reduce in comparison with BII for LFP(3.678±1.974)(t=2.671,P=0.019).Binocular integration index for two signals were greater when monocular responses of both eyes were similar(P=0.035 and P=0.124,respectively).Conclusion Both spike rate and gamma band power of LFP exhibited binocular facilitation to synchronous presented dichotic stimuli with significant facilitation induced by balanced monocular responses.Spiking activity and LFP reflect neural activities of different spatial scales and source components.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the mid- and long-term efficacy of subfascial endoscopic perforator surgery (SEPS)in the treatment CEAP classification C4 - C6 of primary chronic venous insufficiency(CVI). MethodsClinical data of 82 cases of chronic venous insufficiency were analysed retrospectively. According to operative method adopted,patients were divided into group A in which perforator veins were ligated under subfascial endoscopic surgery (SEPS group ),and group B in which perforator veins were not ligated (non-SEPS group).Diagnosis was established by clinical symptoms,color Doppler or ascending venography in all patients.Postoperatively patients were followed up regularly.The clinical outcomes between different surgicalmethods in two groups were assessed byCEAP clinical classification,CEAP clinical symptom scores,cumulative ulcer healing rate and cumulative ulcer recurrence rate.ResultsNo significant differences were found in CEAP clinical classification,CEAP clinical symptom scores between the two groups preoperatively ( P ＞ 0.05 ). There were significant differences in CEAP clinical classification such as edema,lipodermatosclerosis,venous ulceration between the two groups on 2 years postoperatively (P ＜ 0.05 ).The amount of swelling limbs,healed ulceration,active ulceration in group A was less than group B (P ＜ 0.05 ) on 3' and 5' years postoperatively.Significant differences were found postoperatively in total clinical symptom scores between group A and B.Clinical symptoms such as swelling,lipodermatosclerosis,ulcer healing in group A relieved more markedly than group B ( P ＜ 0.05 ).The median healing time of ulcers was 2.3 and 3.7 months respectively in group A and B.Log-rank test on group differences was sensitive to long-term cumulative ulcer healing rate ( x2 =4.063,P =0.044).But Breslow test on group differences was sensitive to early cumulative ulcer healing rate ( x2 =5.471,P =0.019).Cumulative ulcer healing rate in group A was significantly higher than in group B postoperatively (P ＜ 0.05 ).The cumulative ulcer recurrence rate in group A was significantly lower than group B (P ＜ 0.05).ConclusionsSuperficial vein resection combined with perforator vein ligation significantly enhanced clinical efficacy,accelerated ulcer healing and decreased mid- and long-term ulcer recurrence rate.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the migration of fluorescent dye PKH26-labeled BM-MSC in the Alzheimer's model rats.

METHODSNormal human bone marrow extracted for isolation of BM-MSC was cultured in vitro. The 5th passaged BM-MSC was labeled with PKH26, and observed under a fluorescence microscope for PKH26 labeling efficiency, and using flow cytometry BM-MSC surface markers was checked. The PKH26 labeled BM-MSC injected into the tail vein of the normal control group and AD animal model group, 14 days after finding the PKH26-labeled BM-MSC cells in the rat hippocampus using fluorescence microscopy. Using the Morris water maze experiment comparison of AD model and BM-MSC transplantation group of spatial learning and memory ability.

RESULTSTFlow cytometry showed BM-MSC surface markers CD73 and CD105 were positive. In vitro, PKH26-labeled rate of BM-MSC was 100 %. The Morris water maze experiment comparison of BM-MSC transplantation group and AD group of animals, BM-MSC transplantation group at 13, 14 days of spatial learning and memory ability than AD animal group had significantly improved. 14 days after BM-MSCs in rat hippocampus could be found which were PKH26-positive, consistent with DAPI staining. PKH26-positive cells in animal models of AD were significantly more than those in the normal control group.

CONCLUSIONBM-MSC in AD rats not only migrates through the blood-brain barrier, but also mainly survives in the hippocampus of AD rats, and it can improve AD rat model of learning disabilities.

Objective To compare the infectivity between laboratory adapted human inununodefi- ciency virus(HIV-1) and primary HIV-1 isolates for different mucosal epithelial cell lines. Methods Mu-cosal epithelial cells Caco-2, T-84, HeLa and lymphocyte MT-4 were infected with laboratory adapted HIV-1 SF33 and 2 primary HIV-1 isolates (02010561, 02010141). Culture supernatant and cells were collected respectively on 3-4 days interval after virus inoculation. The former was tested for HIV-1 antigen P24 level and viral load, and the latter was tested for total viral DNA and integrated viral DNA. Results All 3 virus strains could infect MT-4 cells and integrate into their genome. Only HIV-1 SF33 could infect Caco-2 cells but could not integrate into their genomic DNA. Both HIV-1 SF33 and 02010561 infected HeLa cells but only integration of HIV-1 SF33 was detected. All the 3 HIV-1 strains infected T-84 cells but only the integra-tion of HIV-1 SF33 and 02010141 was observed. Conclusion Although laboratory adapted and primary HIV-1 strains are able to infect human mucosal epithelial cell lines, transient or productive infection estab-lished in different mucosal epithelial cells is dependent on the character of cells and virus strains.
