Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of acupoint selection by heavenly stems on eosinophils(EOS) in guinea pigs with asthma. Methods Forty-eight guinea pigs were randomized into four groups: group A(timely electroacupuncture at the period of the day from 3 p.m.to 5 p.m.),group B(un-timely electroacupuncture at the period of the day from 9 a.m.to 11 a.m.),group C(model group) and group D(normal control group).Asthma was induced by chicken ovalbumin in groups A,B and C.The hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining method and terminal-deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated nick end labeling(TUNEL) method were applied in the pathological and quantitative observation of eosinophils(EOS) in lung slices. Results The number of EOS was increased in model group(P

Objective To investigate the status of Chlamydia trachomatis(CT) infection in pregnant women in Wuxi ,and to ex‐plore the relationship between CT and abortion .Methods A total of 3 199 cases of pregnant women visiting this hospital from Jan‐uary 2013 to December 2014 were enrolled in this study and divided into the missed abortion group(2 633 cases) ,incomplete abor‐tion group(265 cases) ,the inevitable abortion group(137 cases) ,threatened abortion group(104 cases) and control group(60 cases , all women undergoing induced abortion) .The CT infection was detected by using the fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reac‐tion(FQ‐PCR) .Results The positive rate of CT in missed abortion group ,incomplete abortion group ,the inevitable abortion group and threatened abortion group were 5 .62% ,4 .53% ,5 .11% and 4 .81% ,respectively ,all were higher than that in the control group (3 .33% ) ,without statistically significant differences (P>0 .05) .The positive rate of CT in women in 16- <21 years old age group and 21- <26 years old age group was higher than that in other age groups ,which was 7 .06% and 6 .20% respectively .However , there were no statistically significant differences in positive rate of CT between these age groups (P>0 .05) .Conclusion The posi‐tive rate in women undergoing spontaneous abortion is higher than that in women undergoing induced abortion ,and young women has a higher infection rate of CT .

Objective:To investigate the etiologic characteristics,as well as the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics,in ventila-tor-associated pneumonia(VAP)in Department of Critical Care Medicine,so as to provide evidence for empirical antimicrobial treatment. Methods:The bacterial infection,as well as the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics,in 32 VAP cases in Department of Critical Care Medicine in The Third Hospital,Soochow University from Jan 2012 to Dec 2013 were retrospectively analyzed. Results:A total of 110 strains of bacteria were found from 32 VAP cases, including 48 gram negative bacilli(43.6%),43 gram positive cocci(39.1%)and 19 fungi(17.3%).Gram negative bacilli mainly consisted of Baumanii and Klebsiella,Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli.Gram positive cocci mainly consisted of Enterococci and Staphylococcus aureus,Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus haemolyticus.Fungi mainly consisted of Candida albicans.Drug sensitive test results showed that Baumanii,Klebsiella and Escherichia coli were more sensitive to carbapenems than to other antibiotics and no Enterococci and Staphylococci was found resistant to vancomycin and linezolid. Conclusions:More VAP patients in Department of Critical Care Medicine were infected by gram negative bacilli. In clinical, empirical antimicrobial treatment should be selected reasonably according to the bacterial etiology and the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics,so as to control the infection in Department of Critical Care Medicine and reduce the emergence of drug resistant bacteria.

Objective To investigate the prognostic factors of multi?drug resistant organism (MDRO) infection in patients with infected pancreatic necrosis(IPN). Methods A retrospective study was performed to assess the MDRO in IPN patients. The clinical data of 104 IPN patients admitted to the Department of Pancreatic and Biliary Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University from June 2013 to January 2019 were analyzed. Fifty?six patients were allocated in the MDRO group and 48 patients in the non?MDRO group depended on drug sensitivity test. There were 37 males and 19 females in the MDRO group with age of 40 (23) years. The duration time was 3(5) days between onset and admission. In the non?MDRO group,34 males and 14 females were included with age of (42±14)years. The duration time was 3(4) days between onset and admission. Normally distributed quantitative variables was represented by , non?normally distributed quantitative variables was represented by M ( QR). Wilcoxon rank?sum test and χ2 test were used to analyze the data. Univariate and multivariable Logistic regression analytic model were used to figure out the risk factors associated with MDRO infection. Results The mean duration of hospital stay was 29.5(31.8) days and hospitalization expenses were CNY 166 991(270 692), which were much higher than those in non?MDRO group (16.5(15.7) days, CNY 56 789(62 354)) (W=1 889, 2 019, both P<0.01). Gram?negative isolates(67.2%, 80/119) were commonly detected in IPN patients. Acinetobacter baumannii was the most common MDRO(27.0%, 20/74). Initial use of carbapenem(OR=2.22, 95%CI: 1.02-4.96, P=0.047) and open necrosectomy(OR=10.00, 95%CI: 3.14-44.77, P<0.01) were the potential risk factors for MDRO?induced infections in IPN. Furthermore, the Logistic regression analysis revealed that open necrosectomy was the independent variable for MDRO infections(OR=9.42, 95%CI:2.92-42.42, P<0.01). Conclusion Open necrosectomy is the independent risk factor for the infection of MDRO.
