Through study on Bianque Shenying Zhenjiu Yulong Jing (Bianque's Classic of Effective Acupuncture Prescriptions), acupuncture experiences and ideology of WANG Guo-rui, an acupuncture physician of the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), is discussed in this article. Inherited and carried forward DOU's acupuncture theory, WANG Guo-rui encouraged to use experiential points and to expand extra points. Penetrating needling method was created, and the application of acupoints according to needling opportunities and seasonal factors were enriched by him. Great importance was also attached on treatment according to differentiation of syndromes, which including the simultaneous acupuncture and moxibustion, simultaneous reinforcing and reducing, reducing after reinforcing, reinforcing after reducing, predomination of reducing and predomination of reinforcing. The flexible treating methods are still extensively adopted in clinic nowadays. WANG Guo-rui is a master of clinical acupuncture who made great contribution to the development of acupuncture and moxibustion.

Objective To investigate chromosomal gains and losses in association with human papillomavirus status in the vulvar squamous cell carcinomas(VSCC). Methods We analyzed 21 VSCC with comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) and polymerase chain reaction.Results Each case had different degree of variances, including gains and losses of partial or whole chromosome. On average, each case had 4.9(102/21) abnormal regions; losses were more than gains, being respectively 2.6(54/21) and 2.3(48/21). Main variations were gains on chromosomes 3q(43%,9/21),8q(38%,8/21),12q(33%, 7/21 )and 9p(19%,4/21),and losses of 4p(52%,11/21),3p(43%,9/21)and 9p(10%,2/21).Gains of 3q(73%) and 12q(64%) were significantly more common in human papillomavirus (HPV)-positive VSCC compared to HPV-negative VSCC(10%,0;P

Objective To examine the relationship between plasma soluble interleukin 2 receptor(sIL2R), bone metabolism markers, and bone mineral densities in female patients with Graves′ disease(GD), and to explore the role of sIL2R in bone metabolism of GD.Methods This study included 201 female GD patients.FT3, FT4, TSH, PTH, osteocalcin(OCN), C-terminal telopeptides of type Ⅰ collagen (CTX), procollagen type I N-terminal propeptide(PINP), and 25-(OH)-vitamin D(25OHD) were measured using electrochemical luminescence technique.sIL2R was measured using chemiluminescence method.All pations underwent examinations of bone mineral densities at lumbar spine, total hip, and femoral neck(LS-BMD, TH-BMD, and FN-BMD).The associations of sIL2R with bone metabolism markers and bone mineral densities were analyzed.Results OCN,CTX,PINP gradually decreased across the tertile groups of LS-BMD, TH-BMD, FN-BMD(all P<0.05).FT3, sIL2R gradually increased across the tertile groups of OCN, CTX, PINP(all P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that sIL2R was independently associated with OCN and CTX(both P<0.05).Conclusion The increase of bone turnover leads to bone loss in female GD patients.The plasma level of sIL2R was positively correlated to bone turnover, which indicated that sIL2R may play an important role in bone metabolism of GD.

BackgroundLaser peripheral iridotomy(LPI) can break the pupillary block,and is an effective method of treating acute primary angle closure (APAC).However,a part of APAC eyes may gradually develop a formation and extension of peripheral anterior synechia(PAS) and increased intraocular pressure(IOP) after LPI.ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between appositional angle closure and darkroom provocative test(DRPT) in the fellow eyes with APAC after LPI.Methods Fellow eyes of APAC without PAS after LPI were studied.Ultrasounic biomicroscopy(UBM) were performed in darkness to observe whether appositional angle closure occurred and compare the relationship between the quadrants with appositional angle closure and the results of DRPT.Results Fifty-four patients were included in the study.Appositional angle closure was observed in at least one quadrant in 20(37.0％ ) of the 54 fellow eyes with APAC after LPI.Fifty-one patients were given DRPT and positive result in 9 patients( 17.6％ ).According to the quadrants with appositional angle closure,there were 5 patients with DRPT positive results in 46 patients with appositional angle closure 0 to 2 quadrants,and 4 patients with DRPT positive results in 5 patients with appositional angle closure 3 to 4 quadrants ( P =0.003 ).Bivariate correlation analysis indicated a positive correlation between the value of the increased IOP in DRPT and the number of quadrants with appositional angle closure in darkness( r =0.397,P =0.004).ConclusionsA certain proportional fellow eyes of APAC appeared appositional angle closure in darkness and DRPT positive result after LPI.The more the quadrants of appositional angle closure after LPI,the greater the likelihood of a positive DRPT.It suggests that the APAC fellow eyes and attack eyes with the same anatomical configuration still have the possibility of angle closure after LPI,and need follow-up and treatment for a long time.

Objective To analyze the present situation about early screening of developmental dysplasia of the hip( DDH) of infants in Shapingba district of Chongqing,and to explore the methods to improve the rate of diagnosis about DDH. Methods A total of 2 066 infants among 0~6 months old living in Shapingba district of Chongqing,were examined with clinical and ultrasound method on hip. Results Six infants with DDH were discovered among the 2 066 infants,which was more common in the female baby. The deficiency of hospital in which can exam hip with ultrasound method and the deficiency about DDH were the significant factors affecting the low detection rate. Conclusion Necessary measure must be taken to improve the low detection rate of DDH.

BACKGROUND: Multipotential mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can be differentiated into bone, fat, cartilage, muscle and endothelial cell at the specific conditions, so it draws great attentions of the related study.OBJ ECTTVE: To establish the method of in vitro culture and expansion of human umbilical blood-derived MSCs and investigate their influencing factors.DESTGN: Randomized and controlled trials.SETTING: Department of Tissue Engineering and Cell Biology in Wuxi Third People's Hospital.MATERTALS: Seventy cases of human umbilical cord blood (HUCB) of healthy neonates (selected from Parturient Room, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Wuxi Third People's Hospital, with the informed consents of the puerpera and their relatives), 40 mL each; dulbecco's minimal essential medium (DMEM) of low glucose (LG) at the dose of 50 g/L, fetal bovine serum (FBS), mycillin and trypsin (all were from Gibco), FITC-labeled mice anti-human CD29, CD105 and CD106 (Ancell) monoclonal fluorescent antibody, PE-labeled mice anti-human CD34, CD44, CD45, CD19, HLA-DR (Immunotech)monoclonal fluorescent antibody, Ficoll separation medium (Pharmacia).METHODS: The experiment was carried out in Department of Tissue Engineering and Cell Biology in Wuxi Third neonatal cord blood were anticoagulated by 25 u/mL heparin, and 60 cases of isolated HUCB mononuclear cell were precipitated and suspended by cell culture fluid (50 g/L DMEM-LG + 50 g/L FBS + 10 g/L mycillin), while other 10 cases were purified with DMEM of high glucose (100 g/L) to produce adherent layer. Once the cells reached fluences of FBS coating on adhesive rats of MSCs: Some of the purified HUCB MSCs at logarithmic phase were growth curve of MSCs: The growth of cells were observed by phase contrast microscope (OLYMPUS CK40), and were detected by EPICS-ALTRA flow cytometry.FBS coating and without FBS coating at the different time points, and their adhesive rates.RESULTS: All 70 cases of HUCB MSCs were adopted in this study, however, 10 samples failed to obtain the ideal MSCs cord blood MSCs after culture. During 2 weeks of culture, primary cells began to double for 3-4 days and reached conand CD105, but did not express antigens CD34, CD45, CD106 and HLA-DR, which was identical to surface labeling of those without FBS coating (P＜0.01).CONCLUSrON: MSCs in HUCB can be cultured and expanded in vitro, and are regarded as an alternative source of MSCs for experimental and clinical applications. Moreover, high glucose can depress the growth and proliferation of MSCs in HUCB.

Objective:To evaluate the effects of 2 kinds of fiber posts with different optical conductivity on the polymerization of resin cement in deep root canal.Methods:16 human premolars with single root were decoronated and randomly divided into 2 groups(n=8),which were restored using fiber posts with and without optical conductivity(i-TFC optical fiber post and Panavia post) respectively.Fiber posts were luted with light-curing resin cement and light cured.3 dentin slabs with fiber posts located at cervical,middle and apical 1/3 were harvested from each root.Knoop microhardness(HK) of the resin cement in each slab was measured using microindentation and the relative curing rate (RCR) was also examined,data were submitted to two-way ANOVA.Results:As the depth in the canal increased,the HK and RCR of the resin cement was decreased in both groups.At the cervical and middle 1/3 HK and RCR were not statistically different between the 2 groups(P＞0.05).At the apical 1/3 of the optical and Panavia group,the RCR of the resin cement was 69.89％ and 50.05％ (P＜0.05),the HK was 33.25 ± 3.04 and 23.08 ± 5.93 (P＜0.05),respectively.Conclusion:The optical fiber post is useful in promoting the polymerization of the resin cement in deep root canal.

Objective To investigate the organophosphorus pesticide residues in vegetables and fruits in Shnxi area so as to take preventive measures to minimize food contamination. Methods A total of 140 samples of vegetables and fruits were obtained randomly from the local market in Shnxi area. Eight organophosphorus pesticides were analyzed by gas-chromatographic method. Results The incidence of organophosphorus pesticide residues in vegetables and fruits were 20% and 1.7%, respectively. The mean level of parathion in vegetables and dimethoate in fruits were 6.22?g/kg and 3.02?g/kg, exceeding their MRLs. Conclusion There is a misuse of organophosphorus pesticides in Shnxi area and routine monitoring is necessary to reduce food contamination before entering market.
