Objective To investigate the effects of low molecular heparin(LWMH)on cytokines(TNF-?,IL-1? and IL-10)in blood plasma and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis(IPA)mice. Methods The neutropenic IPA mouse models were established by administration of cyclophosphamide for immunologic function inhibition and intranasally challenge with Aspergillus fumigatus conidia(1?106 conidia/mouse).One hundred and twenty mice were randomly divided into 4 groups:normal control,IPA model, normal saline+LWMH and IPA+LWMH group.Normal saline+LWMH group and IPA+LWMH group received LWMH(subcutaneous injection,1 000 IU/kg,qd?2 d).Normal control and IPA model group received normal saline instedad of LWMH.At 4,8,12,24 and 48 h after inoculation, six mice were randomly taken from each group to be sacrificed.ELISA method was used to determine the concentrations of TNF-?,IL-1? and IL-10 in blood plasma and BALF.Results TNF-?,IL-1? and IL-10 in blood plasma and BALF increased significantly several hours after inoculation of conidia in IPA model and IPA+LWMH group. There were significant higher concentrations of TNF-? and IL-1? in blood plasma and BALF in IPA+LWMH group than in IPA model group(P

Objective To study the variation of serum IL-18 and TNF-? in infants with cytomegalovirus (CMV) hepatitis before and after treatment. Methods The levels of serum IL-18 and TNF-? in 36 infants with CMV-hepatitis before and after treatment and in 21 normal infants were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results Serum levels of IL-18 and TNF-? in infants with CMV-heptitis were obviously higher than those in normal infants (P

Objective To investigate the efficacy of gelatin sponge particles(GSP)or polyvinyl alcohol particles (PVA) for hemoptysis secondary to bronchiectasis or pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods The clinical data on 271 patients with bronchiectasis- or tuberculosis-induced hemoptysis were retrospectively analyzed. The efficacy and rates of recurrence and complications were analyzed. Results A total 271 patients were included in this study, 176 of whom suffered from bronchiectasis and the rest 95 had tuberculosis. One-week cure rate was signifi-cantly higher in bronchiectasis group than in tuberculosis group(73.3%vs. 46.3%,P<0.05),and one-year recur-rence rate was significantly lower in bronchiectasis group(17.6%vs. 26.3%,P<0.05). One-year recurrence rate was slightly higher in patients receiving GSP than in those undergoing PVA(bronchiectasis group:22.2%vs. 10.3%, P<0.05;tuberculosis group:28.8%vs. 22.2%,P>0.05). No severe complications occurred. Conclusions In-terventional artery embolization therapy for hemoptysis secondary to bronchiectasis is better than tuberculosis-induced hemoptysis, and PVA is more effective than GSP. Recurrence of massive hemoptysis mostly occurrs within one month ,and most of the patients are complicated with blood supply and have a history of hemoptysis.

Objective To understand the cleaning status of hospital environment, and evaluate the effect of fluo-rescence labeling method plus feedback and training on hospital environmental cleaning effectiveness. Methods A total of 27 departments in a hospital were investigated,1 cleaning staff and 2 inpatients were selected from each de-partment,cleaning staff’s knowledge about cleaning and disinfection of environmental object surfaces,as well as cleaning status of inpatients’wards were surveyed, cleaning efficacy of hospital environmental object surfaces were detected with fluorescence labeling method, the surveyed results were performed timely feedback to clinical depart-ments,training on cleaning and disinfection knowledge was conducted, the effective cleaning rate of environmental object surface before and after the training was compared. Results A total of 27 cleaning staff were surveyed, the correct response rate for cleaning frequency was 96.30% ,awareness rate for section concept was 96.30% ,accuracy rate of cleaning order was 92.59% ,accuracy rate of post-cleaning immersion time of sanitary wares in disinfectant was 85.19% ,accuracy rates of replacing, drying, and repeated immersing wiping cloths were 81.48% ,48.15% ,and 25.93% respectively, rates of correct disinfectant formulating method and mop drying time were both 0. Among 54 investigated patients, bed units and ground of wards of 28 patients were cleaned both 1-2 times/day;bed units of 8 patients had never been wiped,18 patients in 9 departments cannot be conducted statistics due to completely in-consistent responses with the other patients of the same departments. The effective cleaning rates of environmental object surfaces before and after the training were 34.62% and 64.96% respectively, difference was significant(χ2=21.81,P<0.01).Conclusion Fluorescence labeling method plus feedback and training can improve cleaning efficacy of hospital environmental object surfaces.

Objective To discuss the expansion model of the eyeball and investigate the morphologic characteristics of high-my- opic eyeball through the dimensional measurement in high-myopia and emmetropia by MRI. Design Case controll study. Participants Thirty-two emmetropes (60 eyes) and 33 high myopes (60 eyes) were enrolled, without eye diseases and history of ocular surgery or in- jury. Methods 60 high-myopic eyes and 60 emmetropic eyes were measured with MRI (I.5T,PHILIPS) to get the data of three inner ocular dimensions, intraocular volume and the volume of different parts. Main Outcome Measures Three dimensions and volumes of eyeballs. Results The average value of axial (28.16?2.80 mm), horizontal (22.87+1.23 mm) and vertical length (23.40?0.99 ram) of high-myopic eyes were much bigger than those of emmetropic eyes(P=0.000), especially the axial length( with difference of 5.38 mm); The axial length was correlated with refractive error (0.36 mm/D,r~2=0.88, P=0.000). The average value of the whole ocular volume (7. 46?0.89 ml) and vitreous volume(6.90?0.8 ml) of the high myopic eyes were bigger than those of emmetropic eyes(P=0.000), while ante- rior segment volume and lens volume were about the same as that of emmetropic eyes (P=0.220, P=0.630). Conclusions The three di- mensions of high-myopic eyes were significantly longer than that of emmetropic eyes. In high myopes, the increased vitreous volume lead to the increase of the whole ocular volume. There may be two models in the ocular expansion of high myopia: global expansion and axial elongation expansion. More serious refractive error cause more obvious expansion in axial elongation.
