To explore the feasibility, safety and effect of the full-thickness lamellar keratoplasty for the treatment of pseudomonas aeruginosa corneal ulcer.METHODS: Based on a retrospective non-controlled study, 25 patients were given the full-thickness lamellar keratoplasty for clinical diagnosis of pseudomonas aeruginosa infection and corneal ulcer medication conventional anti-gram-negative bacteria. Routine follow-up were carried out at postoperative 1wk; 1, 3, 6, 12, 18mo to observe the situation of corneal epithelial healing, recurrent infection, immune rejection, graft transparency and best corrected visual acuity, etc. At the 6 and 12mo postoperative, corneal endothelial cell density was reexamined. RESULTS: No patients because of Descemet's membrane rupture underwent penetrating keratoplasty surgery: One only in cases of bacterial infection after 1mo, once again did not cultivate a culture of bacteria pseudomonas aeruginosa, and the remaining 24 cases average follow - up 14 ± 6mo, corneal graft were transparent, the cure rate was 96%. At the sixth month after surgery, there were 16 cases of eye surgery best corrected visual acuity ≥4. 5, of which 3 cases ≥4. 8. At the sixth month after surgery, the average corneal endothelial cell density 2 425 ± 278/mm2; At 12mo postoperatively, it was 2257± 326/mm2.CONCLUSlON: Full-thickness lamellar keratoplasty is an effective method of pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in the treatment of corneal ulcers, corneal drying material glycerol can be achieved by visual effects.

Objective To explore the value of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) and creatine phosphokinase-isoenzyme-MB (CK-MB) on early diagnosis of heart damage in asphyxia neonate.Methods A total of 47 cases of asphyxia neonates were divided into mild-asphyxia group( n=29 ) and severe-asphyxia group(n=18),and the levels of cTnI and CK-MB were quantitatively determinated by ELISA and enzyme kinetics, respectively.Results After birth for the first day, the serum levels of cTnI and enzymatic activities of CK-MB were all significantly higher in mild-asphyxia group[(2.25?0.54)?g/L,(223.4?23.5)U/L]and severe-asphyxia group[(4.25?0.83)?g/L,(256.3?21.8) U/L)]than those in control group(P_a0.05), however the results in severe-asphyxia group[(1.54?0.72)?g/L,(188.9?21.5)U/L]were significantly higher than those in control group (P_a

Objective To explore the effect of the treatment for the old deltoid ligament injuries by TwinFix suture anchors fixation along with overlap suturing.Methods Totally the data of 17 patients with old deltoid ligament injury was retrospectively reviewed who received treatment from January 2007 to December 2011.There were 11 males and 5 females,with an average age of 32.1 years (range,18-58 years).All of them had ankle sprain histories with the duration ranging from 7-25 months (average,14.2 months).All patients received weight-bearing X-ray,bilateral anterior-posterior (AP) and oblique radiography,MRI and ultrasound examinations before operation.Further arthroscopic examination was performed to confirm the diagnosis and debrided the intra-articular proliferative synovial tissue as well as injured articular cartilage for the patients after they were diagnosed with deltoid ligament injury.Open surgeries were performed though an incision on the medial ankle space.Residual ligament and scar tissue were cleaned.Old avulsion fractures of medial ankle tip were removed in 2 cases.The deep layer of ruptured deltoid ligament was sutured onto the tip of medial malleolus while the superficial layer was overlapped and sutured to the periosteum of medial ankle.Anchors were then utilized to fix the ligament.The clinical outcomes were evaluated based on American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) ankle and hiodfoot score system.Results The follow-up duration of the 17 patients were 12-34 months with an average of 20.1 months.Both image evidences and intraoperative findings revealed the injury and scarring of deltoid ligament.The angle between long axis of talus and first metatarsal and the angle of hindfoot alignment in Saltzrnan view reduced from 5.4°±1.8°,8.2°± 2.6° before surgery to 4.0°±0.9° and 5.3°±1.3° after surgery respectively.The mean AOFAS hindfoot score before operation was 76.8±7.0 and increased to 94.1±3.3 at the last follow-up.There were ten cases receiving excellent effect,6 good and 1 moderate.The good and excellent rate was 94.1％ (16/17).All the 17 patients achieved paiu relief and none had recurrent injury till the last follow-up.Conclusion TwinFix suture anchor fixation along with overlap suturing was an effective way in dealing with old deltoid ligament injury cases.

A rapid, reliable and sensitive pressurized capillary electrochromatography-Laser induced fluorescence ( pCEC/LIF ) method with trifluoroacetic acid ( TFA ) pre-column derivation for simultaneous determination of four aflatoxin ( AFB1 , AFB2 , AFG1 , AFG2 ) was developed. This method included separation on a capillary column packed with 1. 8μm C18 particles using 0. 05% FA aqueous solution/methanol (55:45, V/V) as mobile phase at a pump flow rate of 0. 05 mL/min when the split ratio was 1:300. Under the optimum conditions including running voltage of 15 kV, excitation wavelength of 375 nm and emission wavelength of 450 nm, the baseline separation of four aflatoxins was achieved within 10 minutes. The limits of detection (LODs) were 0. 02, 0. 016, 0. 008 and 0. 01 μg/L for AFG1, AFB1, AFG2, AFB2(S/N=3), respectively. The linear detection ranges of AFG1 , AFB1 , AFG2 , AFB2 were 0. 1-10, 0. 1-10, 0. 1-3 and 0. 1-3 μg/L with correlation coefficients (R2) of 0. 9999, 1. 0000, 0. 9995 and 0. 9997, respectively. The established method was applied to analyze the peanut butter, and the recoveries of standard addition experiment were between 90 . 0% and 112 . 0% for all analytes ( RSDs=0 . 5%-1 . 9%) .

To investigate the effects of Tongxinluo capsule on sciatic nerve apoptosis in spontaneous type II diabetic KK/Upj-Ay mice, in order to explore its mechanism for improving diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). KK/Upj-Ay mice were selected as the DPN animal model and randomly divided into the model, Tongxinluo low, middle and high group (1, 2, 4 g x kg(-1)). C57BL/6 mice were selected as the control group. Mice were given intragastrically for 12 weeks. Paw withdrawal latency, motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) and sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) were detected. Apoptotic rate were detected by FCM. Bcl-2, Bax, Caspase-3 mRNA and protein expression in sciatic nerve were examined by Real-time PCR and Western blot. p38MAPK, p-p38MAPK expression were examined by Western blot. In this study,the authors found that Tongxinluo capsule could increase paw withdrawal latency, MNCV and SNCV. Apoptotic rate of sciatic, the expression of Bax and caspase-3 were lower, while Bcl-2 expression was higher in Tongxinluo group than those in model mice. The expression of p-p38MAPK significantly decreased in Tongxinluo group. The results showed that Tongxinluo capsule has protective effects on diabetic peripheral neuropathy of mice via inhibiting cell apoptosis and suppressing the expression of p-p38MAPK.

Objective To observe the effect of balance training on cerebral cortex and balance function of mouse.Methods Forty-five C57BL/6J female mice were randomly divided into the control group, two-week training group and four-week training group with 15 animals in each group. An new model of balance function training was copied. The balance function, brain index, and the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) and activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in the mouse cerebral cortex were tested after training.Results The total time passing balance beam of the four-week training group significantly shorten compared with the control group and two-week training group ( P<0.01). Compared with the control group, the brain index of two-week training group increased ( P<0.05), and four-week training group also increased significantly ( P<0.01). Compared with the control group, the SOD activity of cerebral cortex significantly increased (P<0.01), and MDA decreased ( P<0.05) in the four-week training group.Conclusion This new balance training can improve balance function, increase the brain index and decrease lipid peroxidation level in the cerebral cortex of the mice.

AIM: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of corneoscleral separation in the treatment of persistent corneal ulcer.METHODS: Collected 22 cases (22 eyes) with deep corneal ulcer were treated with drugs.These patients underwent corneoscleral separation or corneal interstitial filling of sterile gelatin sponge,by retrospectively observing the cornea ulcer healing,anterior chamber reaction and separation of new blood vessels grow between the layers,and so on,the surgical indications,surgical techniques,postoperative complications and treatment were evaluated.RESULTS: Patients were followed up 3 to 6mo,of which 18 eyes cornea were seen a small amount of new blood vessels,anterior chamber empyema after 7-9d.Ulcers gradually narrowed,infection controlled,the surrounding edema relieved,visual acuity improved by varying degrees after 12-15d.Postoperative 4 eyes for the mixed infection,2 of the 4 eyes were of the rapid progress,neovascularization did not grow into the lesion,ulcers on the verge of perforation and then done penetrating keratoplasty.CONCLUSION: The aim of this study is to introduce deep limbal vessels into the surrounding of ulcer foci,which to combine with drug therapy is one of the effective methods to treat deep corneal infection.
