PurposeTo analyze the far infrared thermography characteristics before and after surgery in patients with acoustic neuroma.Materials and Methods Thirty-two patients with acoustic neuroma were included as observation group and 40 normal healthy individuals as control group. Un-cooled thermal imaging system (ATIR-M301B) was used with working temperature of 20-25℃. Craniofacial infrared images were collected to analyze temperature differences among different detection zones. Results Far infrared thermography revealed that there were no obvious temperature differences between both sides of supraorbital region, endocanthion region, frontal region and buccal region in the control group (P>0.05). The temperature differences in bilaterally symmetrical parts of supraorbital region, endocanthion region, frontal region, buccal region were significantly higher in observation group (t=1.557, 1.714, 1.483 and 1.569,P<0.05). The craniofacial temperatures of 32 patients changed after operation, and the differences reduced in supraorbital region, endocanthion region, frontal region, and buccal region (t=2.655, 2.462, 2.897 and 4.465,P<0.05).Conclusion Far-infrared thermography inspection can detect abnormal temperature changes.

Objective Rheological properties and gelation properties of agar were investigated. Methods The gelling point, melting point and the gel strength of agar were detected with MCR101 rheometer and TA texture testing instrument. Results and Conclusion Rheological properties of agar were affected by its concentration ,temperature and the addition of salt (such as NaCl ,CaCl2) and sucrose. Apparent viscosity exhibited shear thinning behavior following the power law model. Apparent viscosity increased with the increase of concentration, and decreased with the rise of temperature. The decrease in viscosity followed an Arrhenius temperature dependence. Agar solutions exhibited typical "weak gel" properties by small strain oscillatory measurements. The results indicated that the agar solution was characterized as a gel properties ,and which could form a kind of heat reversible gel. The gelling point of agar was lower than its melting point. The gel strength of agar could be affected by its gel time, and the addition of salt (such as NaCl,CaCl2) and sucrose.

Objective To explore one mechanism of therapeutic action of electroacupuncture on Alzheimer’s disease (AD), that is, improving the way to eliminate cerebral microvascular Ab by investigating the effect of electroacupuncture on hippocampal microvascular Ab deposition and learning and memory abilities in APP/PSI double transgenic mice. Method Twenty-four 7-month-old male APP/PSI double transgenic mice were randomized into model and electroacupuncture groups, 12 mice each. Same sex transgene-negative littermate mice (12 mice) constituted a blank control group. The electroacupuncture group received electric acupuncture at points Baihui (GV20) and Yongquan (KI1), 15 min once every other day, for a total of six weeks. After treatment, mouse learning and memory abilities were tested using the Morris water maze. The expressions of Ab 1-40 and Ab 1-42 in the hippocampal microvascular wall and senile plaque were determined by immunohistochemical method. Hippocampal microvascular Ab-positive expression was semi-quantitatively analyzed using the Imagine Pro Plus software. Result The Morris water maze test showed that escape latency lengthened (P<0.05), and the number of crossing platform and swimming time in the platform quadrant decreased (P<0.05) in the model group compared with the blank control group. Escape latency shortened (P<0.05), and the number of crossing platform and swimming time in the platform quadrant increased (P<0.05) in the electroacupuncture group compared with the model group. The immunohistochemical results showed that hippocampal microvascular Ab 1-42 and Ab 1-40 integral optical densities were higher in the model group than in the blank control group (P<0.05) and senile plaques appeared in the hippocampus. Hippocampal microvascular Ab 1-42 and Ab 1-40 integral optical densities were lower in the in the electroacupuncture group than in the model group (P<0.05). Conclusion Electroacupuncture reduces mouse learning and memory impairments and hippocampal microvascular Ab deposition. Its mechanism may be that electroacupuncture improves the way of eliminating cerebral microvascular Ab to decrease cerebral Ab deposition.

Aim To establish a LC-MS/MS method to measure the concentration of ginsenoside Rg1 in intrac-erebral dialysate and compare the probe recovery in vitro and in vivo. Methods The assay was conducted with a ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18(2. 1 mm × 50 mm, 1. 7 μm) . The mobile phase consisted of methanol and ultrapure water and it was detected by gradient elution. The flow rate was 0. 4 mL·min-1 . Specificity, linear range, precision and accuracy, stability were evaluated to investigate the reliability of the method. The recov-ery of ginsenoside Rg1 in probe in vitro and in vivo was compared. Results The retention time of ginsenoside Rg1 was 1. 91 min, the linear range was 0. 1 ~50 μg · L-1 , intra-day and inter-day precisions were less than 15%. The recovery of ginsenoside Rg1 was (4. 05 ± 0. 28)% in vitro and(26. 96 ± 4. 45)% in vi-vo. Conclusion The LC-MS/MS method is accurate, sensitive, and reproducible for quantitative determina-tion of ginsenoside Rg1 in microdialysate. The probe recovery of ginsenoside Rg1 in vivo is higher than in vitro, and both are stable in different concentrations.
