3.Correlation of the factors on benign prostatic hyperplasia combined with obstruction.
National Journal of Andrology 2002;8(4):299-301
Benign prostate obstruction(BPO) means bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which concerns BPH, and lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS). To treat the BPO is the main purpose of therapy on BPH in clinic. This review includes recent advances in study of changes on urodynamics(UDS), morphology, prostatic composition, which occur in BPO.

Xiang-thinking is the main way of thinking in the form of traditional Chinese culture, which included Xiang and thinking. In viscera theory of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) formation, Xiang-thinking has run through and played a role in pushing forward on the formation of manifestation theories. Among five internal organs, take liver as an example. The formation of the liver manifestation is through the description of the liver and intuitive form and structure of the object, which were on the basis of the extract of abstract thinking, and the summarization on rules of the process. In this paper, the formation of liver manifestation theory was taken as an example to discuss the application of Xiang-thinking in formation of liver manifestation theory.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2014;30(6):419-421
OBJECTIVE:
To study the correlation between age and general morphology of transverse section of cartilago costalis and its forensic significance.
METHODS:
Eighty-six corpses' cartilago costalis from the routine postmortem examination were collected and the morphological features of their transverse section were observed.
RESULTS:
With the increased age, there were regular changes in the color, structure, and material of the general morphology of transverse section of cartilago costalis. But the changes were not affected by gender.
CONCLUSION
The good correlation between general morphology of transverse section of cartilago costalis and age can be used to estimate age of the deceased rapidly.

BACKGROUNDIt is still a challenge for the cardiac surgeons to achieve adequate revascularization for diffused coronary artery disease (CAD). Coronary endarterectomy (CE) offers an alternative choice of coronary artery reconstruction and revascularization. In this study, short-term result of CE combined with coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) was discussed in the treatment for the diffused CAD.
METHODSFrom January 2012 to April 2014, 221 cases of CABG were performed by the same surgeon in our unit. Among these cases, 38 cases of CE + CABG were performed, which was about 17.2% (38/221) of the cohort. All these patients were divided into two groups: CE + CABG group (Group A) and CABG alone group (Group B). All clinical data were compared between the two groups, and postoperative complications and in-hospital mortality were analyzed. The categorical and continuous variables were analyzed by Chi-square test and Student's t-test respectively.
RESULTSDiabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and peripheral vascular disease were more common in group A. In this cohort, a total of 50 vessels were endarterectomized. Among them, CE was performed on left anterior descending artery in 11 cases, on right coronary artery in 29 cases, on diagonal artery in 3 cases, on intermediate artery in 2 cases, on obtuse marginal artery in 5 cases. There was no hospital mortality in both groups. The intro-aortic balloon pump was required in 3 cases in Group A (3/38), which was more often than that in Group B (3/183). At the time of follow-up, coronary computed tomography angiogram showed all the grafts with CE were patent (50/50). There is no cardio-related mortality in both groups. All these patients were free from coronary re-intervention.
CONCLUSIONSCoronary endarterectomy + CABG can offer satisfactory result for patients with diffused CAD in a short-term after the operation.

Objective To cluster analysis the population pharmacokinet-ic characteristics of nifedipine. Methods The data of mean pharmacoki-netic parameters and other factors may affecting the pharmacokinetics of drug were collected, normalized, and compared by multivariate cluster a-nalysis procedure using SAS software. Results The pharmacokinetics of Chinese Han population was similar to that of east Asia populations clas-sified as a subgroup, with AUC was (292.53 ±8.01) ng· mL-1 · h, tmax was (0.61 ±0.03) h, Cmax was (140.01 ±11.38) ng· mL-1 and t1/2 was (3.27 ±0.50) h, respectively. Conclusion The meta-analy-sis identified ethnic factor as a statistically significant factor of pharmaco-kinetics, subgroup of people located with Chinese Han population should reduce the dose of formulation.

Objective To investigate the expression of GOLPH3 in the tumor tissues of patients with gliomas and evaluate its clinical significance. Methods Seventy-six patients with brain gliomas (13 with grade Ⅰ, 27 grade Ⅱ, 25 grade Ⅲ and 11 with glioblastoma) performed surgical excision in our hospitals from July 2008 to December 2009 were chosen and 9 cases of normal brain tissues from patients performed decompression operation resulting from cerebral hernia were selected as the controls in our experiment. RT-PCR and Western-blotting were used to detect the mRNA and protein expressions of GOLPH3. Results The results investigated by RT-PCR and Western-blotting were consistent, revealing that the mRNA and protein expression rate of GOLPH3 in glioma tissues was not significantly different between different grades of tumors (P>0.05), but their expression value was obviously significant between different grades of tumors and increased in a grade-dependent manner (P<0.05). And minimal mRNA and protein expressions of GOLPH3 were found in the tissues of controls. The up-regulative protein expression of GOLPH3 was positively correlated to the malignancy-grade of the gliomas (r,=0.961, P=0.000). Conclusion The mRNA and protein expressions of GOLPH3 are noted with positive correlation to the pathological grades of the gliomas, indicating th at GOLPH3 may play an important role in the generation and development of gliomas.

Objective To determine the expression of Cyclin B1,p34cdc2 and the phosphorylation of survivin(p-survivin)in oral squamous cell carcinoma and oral submucosa fibrosis(OSF),and to discuss their possible role in carcinogenesis of OSF.Methods The expression of Cyclin B1,p34cdc2 and p-survivin were analyzed by Western blotting assay in 10 cases of normal oral mucosa epithelium,40 cases of OSF epithelium and 42 cases of oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)originated from OSF,respectively.Immunoprecipitation was used to confirrn the relationship between the p34cdc2 and survivin. Results The expression of Cyclin B1,p34cdc2,p-p34cdc2 and p-survivin in OSF group were significantly higher than those in normal group(P<0.05).The expression of these molecules showed significant different(P<0.05)between the OSF and OSCC originated from OSF,but there was no significant difference among the early stage, the moderately advanced stage and the advanced stage of OSF.Immunoprecipitation assay confirmed the combination of p34cdc2 and survivin. Conclusions The important molecules in G2/M phase-Cyclin B1,p34cdc2 and p-survivin may play a key role during the mitosis and proliferation of OSF,which will be helpful in early diagnosis and therapy of carcinogenesis of OSF.
