Atypical monkeypox broke out in many non-endemic countries in 2022, and the cumulative number of cases worldwide reached 21 775 on July 11. Although most cases of atypical monkeypox outbreaks were related to sexual behavior, there was no clear consensus on whether monkeypox is a sexually transmitted disease, and the current guidelines issued in China for the diagnosis and treatment of monkeypox do not yet rule out monkeypox as a sexually transmitted disease. This review analyzed the evidence supporting atypical monkeypox as a sexually transmitted disease and other possible explanations from the perspectives of monkeypox case definition/diagnostic criteria, epidemiology, clinical features, laboratory examinations, and public health prevention and control measures, aiming to provide suitable recommendations for the prevention and control of monkeypox outbreaks in China.

Remote ischaemic preconditioning(RIPC)is defined as brief ischemia in one organ could confer resistance to subsequent lethal ischemia insults in remote organ.Accumulating data from either basic research or clinical trials had demonstrated the cardioprotective effect offered by RIPC,which is a safe and effective means of reducing ischemia reperfusion injury.The aim of the review is to summarize the advance in the clinical application of RIPC.

Reactive oxygen species(ROS)play an important role in the cardiac ischemic and reperfusion injury.However,accumulating evidences have demonstrated that ROS are pivotal components of redox signaling cascade relevant to cardioprotection induced by either preconditioning or postconditioning. In this review,the definition, source and detection methods of ROS are introduced.Besides,the role of ROS in the cardioprotection offered by preconditioning or postconditioning and the effects of either preconditioning or postconditioning on ROS are summarized.

Objective To determine the preventive effect of Celecoxib on postoperative adhesion formation and its mechanism. Methods We divided 80 SD rats into 5 groups: Groups A, B, C, H and S. Rats in Groups A, B, C and H received the operation of peritoneum rubbing to promote adhesion formation. Group S underwent sham operation. Rats in Group B were given Celecoxib of 40 mg/(kg·d), those in Group C were also given Celecoxib of 20mg/(kg·d), and those in Group H were given sodium hyaluronate (HA) during the operation. On the 8th and 15th postoperative day, half of the rats were sacrificed, the extent of adhesion formation was assessed and the adhesive peritoneum was subjected to immunohistochemistry with VEGF and CD_(34). Results The extent of postoperative adhesion differed significantly among the five groups (P<0.01). Groups B and C had significantly fewer adhesions than Groups H and A. VEGF was expressed most highly in Group A, followed by Groups H, C and B, and most weakly in Group S. CD34 was expressed most highly in Group A, followed by Groups H, C and B, and most weakly in Group S. Conclusion Celecoxib provides durable inhibition of intra-abdominal adhesions in a murine model compared with HA. The mechanism of preventing intra-abdominal adhesion via inhibiting COX-2 is possibly through down-regulated expression of VEGF and reduced microvascular density.

According to the theory of in vitro radioassay, using TSHAb as binder and 125I-staphylococcal protein A (125I-SPA) as tracer agent, a new method for detecting the abnormal immunoglobulin (aIgG) in the sera of patients with Graves disease (GD) was reported. In the initial study of the method, the most appropriate interacting conditions of TSHAb with aIgG were explored and compared with ELISA using ganglioside (GLS) as a binder. The relationship between aIgG and thyroid-stimulating imunoglobulin(TSI) was probed into. The results showed that TSHAb could interact specifically with aIgG in vitro; but it could not interact with IgG from sera of normal subjects, systemic lupus erythematosis (SLE) patients and diabetic patients. With aIgG as an evaluating index, the mean value in 29 normal subjects was 1. 06?0. 17. When the sera of 72 patients with GD in different clinical stages were studied, the aIgG index was positive in 83% of untreated GD patients (n = 24), in 12% of GD patients in clinical remission (n = 25) and in 82% of relapsed GD patients (n = 23). The immunoregulation effect to polysaccharides from Bifidobacterium spp. was investigated on the base of functional assessment standards of health food. Effects of the EPS on immunity were investigated by promoted the proliferation of spleen lymph cells, delayed type hypersensitivity reaction, the HC50 value and macrophage function assay in mice. Data showed that the EPS could obviously increase the ratio of swallowed chicken red blood cell by macrophage and the HC50 value in mice. However, no significant effect was found on the delayed type hypersensitive induced by sheep red blood cell, for only the low dose of 100 mg/(kg?d) EPS promoted the proliferation of spleen lymph cells. Objective: To learn the influencing factors for self-violent thoughts and behaviors among the ninth-grade students in Jiangbei District of Ningbo, so as to provide the basis for carrying out psychological intervention. Methods: The ninth-grade students in a junior high school each of the six streets ( towns ) in Jiangbei District were recruited by multi-stage cluster sampling method from October to November 2018. A self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the general information, life style, psychological condition, self-violent thoughts and behaviors in the latest year. Multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors for self-violent thoughts and behaviors. Results: A total of 1 300 questionnaires were issued and 1 238 valid ones were recovered, with an effective rate of 95.23%. The prevalence rates of self-violent thoughts and behaviors among the ninth-grade students were 16.88% and 8.48%. TheResults of the multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that abnormal marital status of parents ( OR=2.074, 95%CI: 1.139-3.775 ) , no moderate physical activity ( OR=1.764, 95%CI: 1.101-2.826 ) , sleeping less than 8 hours ( OR=1.858, 95%CI: 1.273-2.712 ) , alcohol consumption ( OR=2.108, 95%CI: 1.448-3.070 ) , sense of despair ( OR=6.397, 95%CI: 4.195-9.757 ) , sense of anxiety ( OR=4.094, 95%CI: 2.725-6.151 ) , sense of loneliness ( OR=1.879, 95%CI: 1.241-2.854 ) , and cyber-bullying ( OR=5.155, 95%CI: 2.780-9.556 ) were risk factors for self-violent thoughts; not living with parents ( OR=2.057, 95%CI: 1.021-4.145 ) , alcohol consumption ( OR=1.756, 95%CI: 1.074-2.872 ) , sense of despair ( OR=7.197, 95%CI: 4.365-11.864 ) , sense of anxiety ( OR=5.832, 95%CI: 3.276-10.382 ) , fighting ( OR=2.272, 95%CI: 1.219-4.232 ) and physical bullying ( OR=3.462, 95%CI: 1.135-10.558 ) were risk factors for self-violent behaviors. Conclusion Drinking, family relationship, bullying, and mental health problems such as sense of despair and anxiety were associated with the self-violent thoughts and behaviors of ninth-grade students.

Data mining technology has become a powerful tool in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) research. In this paper, based on the principle and basic requirements of data mining, the mining methods and procedures were described. And then the application of data mining technology in Chinese medicine pair research was classified and summarized, such as the compatibility characters, characteristic pairs, dosage-effect relationship and property compatibility, which provide the direction and data base for modern research of Chinese medicine pair.

Objective To explore the possible mechanisms of Arsenic Trioxide in treating rheumatoid arthritis(RA)by observing the changes of HE staining and NF-KB expression as well as the apoptosis of syn- oviocytes in adjuvant-induced arthritis rats.Methods After the animal model was set up on Wistar rats sue- cessfully,they were randomly divided into AA model group and arsenic trioxide treatment group.The treat- ment group were injected with 4 mg'kg~(-1)9?d~(-1)arsenic trioxid fluid for 7 days.All of the rats were killed 3 days after the complete of injections.The joint specimens were exposed,fixed,decalcified,wrapped and cut into slices.All slices were examined by HE stain and immunohistological evaluation.Results HE staining showed that when compared with the normal control group,the layers of synoviocytes of the AA group were increased to 6-8,and the arrangement of synoviocytes was disordered and heavy inflammatory cell infiltration were found in the AA group.In the arsenic trioxide treatment group,the layers of synoviocytes increased to 3～4,and medi- um amount of inflammatory cell infiltration were found.The intensity of synovial NF-kB(p65)positive stain in AA model group was significantly higher than that in the normal control group.The synovial expression and ac- tivation of NF-kB in the treatment group were decreased markedly,and did not return to normal level.The average gray scale calculation showed that there were significant differences between the three groups(P

Objective To design a medical cadre management system to improve cadre management in flexibility,rationality and openness.Methods The system was developed based on the traditional information management system,which used J2EE SSM framework to execute data management and logical operation and applied Wechat official account to implement cross-platform operation.Results The system facilitated cadre training and evaluation greatly.Conclusion The system contributes to collecting information on cadre evaluation and improving cadre training,and has practical values.
