1.Ancient needling method--essence of ZHANG Shi-jie: a famous acupuncturist.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(7):695-699
ZHANG Shi-jie is one of the 500 famous TCM doctors designated by the State Administration of TCM and Beijing Municipal Health Bureau. ZHANG advocates ancient needling method and uses a unique treating method which includes comprehensive analysis of the four examinations and analogy; in his ancient treatment, he usually selects few acupoints and prefers Taixi (KI 3), he insists on stopping needling after the harmonious of qi and needling on alternative days; theoretically, ZHANG is versatile and full of learning, he follows the rule of yin and yang and adjusts his ways to cultivate the health; in his treatment, ZHANG considers the patients in diagnosis and treatment and combines the acupuncture with drugs; in teaching, he is strict and rigorous, on one hand, he is ruthless, but on the other hand, he is patient, demonstrating the sincere shining example of great doctors.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2015;21(7):865-868
Objective To observe the effect of case-based learning (CBL) applied in ward-round on residents training. Methods A total of 33 residents trained with routine ward-round and CBL ward-round in the neurological department were investigated with questionnaire. Results 30 effective answers were recalled. More of them reported that CBL ward-round was very significant in improving clinical thinking, mastering the specialized knowledge, developing autonomous learning and improving the communication with patients and their family members (P<0.05). Conclusion CBL ward-round is effective on improving the comprehensive professional abilities of residents.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2005;11(3):211-212
ObjectiveTo observe the prevalence of deep venous thrombosis(DVT) of lower extremities after acute stroke. MethodsDetection by ultrasonogaphy of bilateral lower extremities was taken in inpatients with stroke within 72 hours 4 days and 14 days after stroke, in order to determine the morbidity of DVT. ResultsThe morbidity of DVT of lower extremities was 7.9%. DVT could be found 4 days after stroke, but the majority of cases were found out 14 days after stroke. DVT mainly affected the paralytic limb, but some of them could involve bilateral limbs.ConclusionDVT of lower extremities could develop at the early stage of stroke. It is necessary to utilize the prophylactic methods to reduce its harmfulness as early as possible.

BACKGROUND: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease caused by various factors, such as environmental factor, inherited factor, etc.,and its cause isn't very clear now. This study aims to investigate the risk factors mentioned above in the onset of diabetes mellitus, and is of significance in the first and second grade of prevention of diabetes mellitus.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the risk factors of type 2 diabetes mellitus to provide evidence for the proper intervention of it.DESIGN: Cross-sectional study based on diagnosis.SETTING: Department of epidemiology in a university and department of endocrinology in a university hospital.PARTICIPANTS: The subjects were residents who have resided in town and country of Dalian for more than 5 years and were elder than 40 years old. The method of stratified cluster random sampling was carried out among natural persons who were divided into two groups according to city and country. Totally 2 500 persons were taken in total and 1 250 persons were from each group. The subjects who had been diagnosed as diabetes mellitus were included.METHODS: Questionnaire survey was employed for all the subjects, including physical examinations such as height, weight, waist girth, hip girth, blood pressure, blood glucose, etc. Patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus were taken as the case group and the normal was as the control group. The unconditional univariate and multivariate logistic regression were used.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Unconditional logistic regression analysis of risk factors of type 2 diabetes mellitus with single factor analysis and multivariate analysis.RESULTS: Family history of diabetes mellitus(OR = 2.339),obesity[body mass index(BMI),OR = 1.462],systolic pressure(OR = 1.016),hyperlipidemia(OR = 1.615), age(OR = 1.043) were the major risk factors for type 2 diabetes mellitus.CONCLUSION: Family history of diabetes mellitus, increase of systolic pressure, obesity, high blood lipid and age are the risk factor for type 2 diabetes mellitus. For all communities, control of body mass and high blood pressure is an important way to prevent type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Objective To explore the liver toxicities of the VDLD scheme in children with malignant tumor. Methods In a prospective trial, the levels of serum total protein, albumin, globulin, rate of albumin/globuin alanine aminotransferase, aspartate transaminase, gamma glutamyltranspeptidase, total bile acid and alkaline phosphatase were tested in children with malignant tumour before and after VDLD scheme, and compared with each other. Results The concentration of the serum total bile acid was significantly increased after VDLD scheme than before(P

Objective To build a three-dimension finite-element model of patella and to make a preliminary mechanics analysis on the model. Methods According to the model-building principle of Ansys software which started from point to line to area to volume,a three-dimension finite-element patella model was reconstructed on the basis of the images of spiral CT.Then, loading on the model patella were simulated and the stress magnitude and distribution on the patella were analyzed. Results Finite element analysis of the patella showed that stress concentration zone located in the middle and lower patella, indicating that fracturepredilectionsitesinthelower patellar.TheVon misesstresson thetensionsidewas significantly greater than that on pressure side. Conclusion The established finite element model of the patella can reflect the real geometry of patella treated in clinics.
