Objective To provide clinical evidence for the optimal acupuncture time in acupuncture treatment of hearing disorder in kids with cerebral palsy.Method Ninety eligible patients were randomized into 3 groups, 30 in each group. Group A was treated for 30 min, group B for 45 min, and group C for 1 h. The hearing improvement was evaluated by using brain-stem auditory evoked potential (BAEP).Result The detection of BAEP showed that the latent and peak periods of wave I,Ⅲ, and V were significantly shortened in the 3 groups after intervention (P<0.01), suggesting that acupuncture can produce a marked efficacy in treating hearing disorder in cerebral palsy. The inter-group comparisons showed that the efficacy of group A was significantly higher than that of group B and C (P<0.05); there was no significant difference in comparing the efficacy between group B and C (P>0.05). It’s indicated that the optimal acupuncture time span should be 30 min. Conclusion With the same acupuncture skills, acupuncture for 30 min can produce a comparatively higher efficacy in treating infantile hearing disorder.

INDENA SPA Company in Italy is a multi-national company that produces and sells plant extracts. Based on its own re- search advantages in the field of Ginkgo biloba preparation, the company protects its own products market effectively through building patent portfolio around the patents of its opponent. Based on the multi-angle analysis for patent portfolio of G. biloba preparation from the aspects of application time, legal status, technical development route, and patent portfolio layout, this article provides technical reference on research and development of G. biloba preparation, and the author suggest that Chinese applicants learn techniques and layout experiences of other patents fully to enhance the level of research and patent protection level.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2015;35(3):213-216
OBJECTIVETo compare the efficacy differences on delayed encephalopathy after carbon monoxide poisoning (DEACMP) between acupuncture to restore consciousness combined with hyperbaric oxygen treatment and simple hyperbaric oxygen treatment.
METHODSForty-one patients with DEACMP were randomly divided into an observation group (21 cases) and a control group (20 cases). In the observation group, acupuncture was applied at Neiguan (PC 6), Shuigou (GV 26), Baihui (GV 20), Sishencong (EX-HN 1), Fengchi (GB 20), Hegu (LI 4), Sanyinjiao (SP 6) and Taichong (LR 3), and hyperbaric oxygen treatment was given as well. In the control group, simple hyperbaric oxygen treatment was used. The treatment was adopted once every day, and continuous 5 days' treatment made one session in the two groups. There were two days at the interval between two sessions and 6 sessions in the two groups. The changes of scores of mini mental state examination (MMSE) and Barthel index (BI) for activity of daily life and routine electroencephalogram (EEG) before and after treatment were compared.
RESULTSAfter treatment, the scores of MMSE and BI and EEG were all improved compared with those before treatment (all P<0.01). The raise of the scores of MMSE and BI in the observation group was more obvious than that in the control group (both P<0.05) and the improvement of EEG abnormal condition in the observation group was also superior to that in the control group after treatment (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONAcupuncture to restore consciousness combined with hyperbaric oxygen could obviously improve the cognitive function, activity of daily life and changes of EEG, and it is better than simple hyperbaric oxygen treatment.

To explore the expressional information of PIWIL4 in human ovarian cancer, semi-quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(semi-qRT-PCR) was used to detect the mRNA expression level of PIWIL1, PIWIL2, PIWIL3 and PIWIL4 in human ovarian clear cell carcinoma ES-2 cells.Meanwhile, in human ovarian cancer and adjacent normal tissues, the mRNA expression of PIWIL4 was determined. Then, PIWIL4-siRNA, which was designed to target PIWIL4 and chemical synthesized, was transfected into ES-2 cells with lipofectamine.MTT assay and clone formation assay were used to investigate the effects of PIWIL4-siRNA on the cell growth activity and proliferation capacity of ES-2 cells.Experimental results showed that the mRNA expression level of PIWIL4 was the highest compared to PIWIL1, PIWIL2 and PIWIL3 in ES-2 cells(P

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of endoscopic ultrasonography(EUS)for the minimal submucosal invasion of early gastrointestinal tumor. Methods A total of 242 patients with early gastrointestinal tumor, who underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection, were retrospectively analyzed. The accuracy of EUS diagnosis was calculated based on postoperative histopathological findings as the golden standard, and influencing factors were also analyzed. Results Overall diagnostic accuracy of EUS for sub-mucosal invasion of early gastrointestinal tumors was 72. 3%(175/ 242),with an overstaging rate of 21. 5%(52/ 242)and an understaging rate of 6. 2%(15/ 242).Tumor size(P = 0. 018)and location(P = 0. 005) had significant effects on the diagnostic accuracy of the minimal submucosal invasion of early gastrointestinal tumor by EUS. The overstaging rate in the lesion length of diameter>3 cm was higher than those of 3 cm or less[27. 0%(33/ 122)VS 15. 8%(19/ 120),P = 0. 807],the overstaging rates of early colonrectal and gastric cancer were also significantly higher than the understaging rate[ Colonrectum:12. 2%(9/ 74)VS 2. 7%(2/ 74),P= 0. 028;Stomach:26. 9%(28/ 104)VS 2. 9%(3/ 104),P = 0. 000]. Conclusion Endoscopic ultrasonography is of diagnostic value for the invasion depth of early cancer in gastrointestinal tract. However, precaution should be taken in large lesions and the tendency of overstaging in gastrointestinal tract.

Objective To explore molecular mechanism and the curative effect of Yisuishengxue powder and its function of the hepersensitive site 2 (HS2) in ?-globin gene cluster locus control region binding with nucleoprotein. Methods After 3 months treatment of Yisuishengxue powder, nucleoprotein was extracted from the morrow cell before and after treatment. The HS2 DNA probes was combined with nucleoproteins.Electrophoresis gel mobile lag was utilized for observing the mobile velocity of DNA segment.Observe the mobile velocity of DNA probes. Results The mobile velocity of probes combined with nucleoproteins before treatment was different form that of the controls, while it was very close to the controls after treatment. Conclusions It is suggested that this compounding medicine might affect the DNA segment of HS2 site in ?-LCR binding with nucleoprotein GATA-1, which may be one molecular mechanism of Chinese herb therapy.
