Objective To know the current conditions of institution set-up,personnels allocated and equipment supplied in county-,city-and country-level in endemic disease prevention and control.Methods Questionnaires,regarding institution set-up,personnels allocated and equipment supplied,was performed among staffs from administrative apartment and professional apartment.Results There were 31 institutions for endemic disease prevention and control in province level of our country(except Hainan Province),with one institution in each province.There were 308 institutions for endemic disease prevention and control in city level,and 23 cities did not have one.There were 2340 institutions for endemic disease prevention and control in county level,none in 502 counties.There were 20 provinces which had the professional crew of the endemic disease administration,but other provinces did not.The proportion of high-grade professional staff of province,city,county level was 24.84% (310/1248),17.05%(481/2821),5.31%(598/11 256)respectively.The averaged size of wdrking place at province-,city-and county-level was 2603.9,324.6,1227 m2.The averaged area of laboratory of province,city,county level was 1093.8,147.4 and 46.6 m2 respectively.The average quantity of equipments valued over ten thousand yuan at province-,city-and county-level is 15.5,2.2,0.6 respectively.Conclusions After the innovation of organizations for endemic disease prevention and control,the number of personnels devoting to this work has been curtailed,working place and equipment is insufficient,which hinders the prevention and control.

To unveil genetic variations between the predominant soybean mosaic virus (SMV) strains in China and in the USA, as well as to reveal the potential relevance between the similarity of gene sequences and the virulence of the viruses, we isolated and sequenced the coat protein (CP) gene of Chinese SMV strain SC7 by RT-PCR and compared the SC7 sequence with those of SMV strains from the USA. Analysis is showed that the CP gene of SC7 was 795 nucleotides in length and encoded 265 in amino acids'. The CP gene of SC7 and those of the strains from the USA exhibited 4%-5% nucleotide diversity and 1%-2% diversity amino acids. The conserved amino-acid sequence associated with aphid spread in the USA strains was DAG, and corresponded to DAD in SC7. The virulence of SC7 was greater than that of the SMV strains from the USA. Nevertheless, no clear relationships between sequence similarity of the CP genes from different strains and their virulence on differential hosts were found.

ObjectiveTo observe the influence of iodine on mRNA expression of iodide transporter (NIS),insulin-like growth factor Ⅰ (IGF- Ⅰ ) and transforming growth factor beta(TGF-β) in thyroid and mammary glands of lactating rats and to explore the role of NIS,IGF- Ⅰ and TGF-β mRNA in iodine uptake in thyroid and mammary glands of lactating rats.MethodsOne hundred and one Wistar rats(80 female and 21 male),weighting 8 - 100 g were selected.These female rats were randomly divided into five groups according to their body weight:control group(NI,normal feed,drank deionized water containing iodine 50 μg/L) ; low iodine group 1 and 2(LI-1,LI-2,low iodine feed,drank deionized water containing iodine 0 and 5 μg/L,respectively); high iodine group 1 and 2(HI-1,HI-2,normal feed,drank deionized water containing iodine 3000 and 10 000 μg/L,respectively),16 rats in each group.After feeding for 3 months,the female and male rates were mated 3:1.The female rats in each group were sacrificed at the fifth and tenth day after postpartum.Thyroid and mammary glands were taken.The mRNA levels of NIS,IGF- Ⅰ and TGF-β in thyroid and mammary glands of lactating rats were determined by real time quantitative PCR.ResultsThe fifth days after postartum,NIS,IGF- Ⅰ and TGF-β mRNA expression levels of thyroid and lactating mammary glands were different between groups,and the differences were statistically significant ( NIS:F =631.46,64.91,all P ＜ 0.01 ; IGF- Ⅰ:F =11.45,6.56,all P ＜ 0.01 ; TGF-β:F =291.83,304.53,all P ＜ 0.01).Compared with control group [NIS:0.0066 ± 0.0023, (0.1481 ± 0.0711 ) × 10-2; IGF- Ⅰ:0.0419 ± 0.0062,0.0542 ± 0.0044; TGF-β:0.1416 ± 0.0277,0.1670 ± 0.0499],regardless of thyroid or mammary gland,the NIS,IGF- Ⅰ and TGF-β mRNA expression of LI-1 [NIS:0.0447 ± 0.0110,(0.3030 ± 0.1831) × 10-2;IGF- Ⅰ:0.0662 ± 0.0078,0.0902 ± 0.008; IGF- Ⅰ:0.5514 ± 0.0508,0.6942 ± 0.0367],LI-2[NIS:0.0317 ±0.0081,(0.3017 ± 0.1601) × 10-2; IGF-I:0.0645 ± 0.0054,0.0894 ± 0.0093; TGF-β:0.5292 ± 0.0332,0.6704 ± 0.0277 ] was significantly increased (all P ＜ 0.01 ); the NIS mRNA expression of HI-1 [0.0043 ± 0.0011,(0.1233 ± 0.0954) × 10-2],HI-2[0.0037 ± 0.0017,(0.1058 ± 0.0854) × 10-2] was decreased(all P ＜ 0.05),while the expression of IGF-Ⅰ mRNA [0.0521 ± 0.0910,0.0715 ± 0.0026; 0.0516 ± 0.0078,0.0697 ± 0.0038] and TGF-β mRNA [0.2087 ± 0.0425,0.2361 ± 0.0425; 0.1971 ± 0.0237,0.2257 ± 0.0752 ] was increased (all P ＜ 0.05 ).The tenth days after postpartum,the mRNA expression levels of NIS,IGF- Ⅰ and TGF-β of thyroid and lactating mammary gland in rats were different between groups,and the differences were statistically significant (NIS:F =103.55,116.32,all P ＜ 0.01; IGF-Ⅰ:F =67.67,11.98,all P ＜ 0.01; TGF-β:F =74.30,381.30,all P ＜0.01 ).Compared with the control group[NIS:0.0069 ± 0.0011,(0.1337 ± 0.0599) × 10-2; IGF-Ⅰ:0.0390 ±0.0071,0.0534 ± 0.0056; TGF-β:0.1351 ± 0.0336,0.1534 ± 0.0320],the mRNA expression levels of NIS,IGF- Ⅰ and TGF-β of LI-1 [ NIS:0.0432 ± 0.0165,(0.2962 ± 0.0985 ) × 10-2; IGF- Ⅰ:0.0643 ± 0.0088,0.0873 ± 0.0055 ; TGF-β:0.5042 ± 0.0912,0.6408 ± 0.0420],LI-2[NIS:0.0287 ± 0.0111,(0.2873 ± 0.0862) × 10-2; IGF- Ⅰ:0.0621 ± 0.0094,0.0862 ± 0.0038; TGF-β:0.4893 ± 0.0504,0.6372 ± 0.0389] were significantly increased(all P ＜ 0.01 ); the NIS mRNA levels of HI-1 [ 0.0042 ± 0.0029,(0.1006 ± 0.0909) × 10-2],HI-2[0.0035 ± 0.0020,(0.0890 ± 0.0119) × 10-2] were decreased(all P＜ 0.05),while the expression of IGF-Ⅰ mRNA[0.0516 ± 0.0078,0.0668 ± 0.0071; 0.0508 ± 0.0089,0.0621 ± 0.0064] and TGF-β mRNA[0.2007 ± 0.0546,0.2175 ± 0.0370;0.1959 ± 0.0393,0.2097 ± 0.0425] were increased(all P ＜ 0.05 ).In thyroid and mammary glands,the comparisons of NIS,IGF,TGF-β mRNA expression of the fifth and tenth day after postartum,between each group were not statistically significant(all P ＜ 0.05).ConclusionsThere are regulatory mechanisms of thyroid and mammary glands of lactating rats in response to low or high iodine conditions.In low iodine,the expressions of NIS,IGF- Ⅰ and TGF-β mRNA in thyroid and mammary glands increase and iodide uptake ability is enhanced to meet the body needs.In high iodine,the expression of NIS mRNA decreases in thyroid and mammary glands.Due to the reduced ability of iodine uptake,iodine intake is reduced,thereby reducing the hazards of high iodine in filial rats.

Objective To investigate the value of ultrasound integrated backscatter (IBS) in quantitative analysis of in-traluminal thrombus in abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA).Methods IBS of intraluminal thrombus in 29 patients were measured,including All (average image intensity) and SDI (standard deviation of image intensity).Meanwhile,different echoes and characteristics of IBS in thrombus were compared and pathologic analysis was performed.Results ①Individual All value of homogenous thrombus differed remarkably,SDI value was low.There was no significant difference about All in homogeneous group and adjacent cavity group (P>0.05).All and SDI value in adjacent wall group were higher than those in other groups (P<0.01).②According to pathologic analysis,cellulose contents were abundant in adjacent wall group,but fewer in adjacent cavity group and homogeneous group.Conclusion IBS might be regarded as a sensitive and specific method and a quantitative basis for estimating and predicting the rupture risk of AAA.

Objective To examine the interrelations among vascular calcification, bone denaity,osteoprotegerin (OPG) and soluble receptor activator of NF-kB ligand (sRANKL) in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Methods The levels of serum OPG and sRANKL from 39 MHD patients were measured by ELISA. The vascular calcification was detected by plain radiographs. Bone mineral density (BMD) was measured with dual-energy X-ray absorptionmeter.Interrelations among above parameters were examined statistically. Results (1) Among 39 MHD patients, 25 cases were identified as vascular calcification by radiographic film. The proportion of patients with mild vascular calcification was 41.0% (16 cases), moderate and severe vascular calcification was 23.1% (9 cases). Compared to patients with mild vascular calcification,serum OPG level [(342.50±171.53) ng/L vs (206.21±137.88) ng/L,t=-2.253, P=0.0251 and OPG/sRANKL ratio (454.65±455.63 vs 135.31±136.81, t=59, P=0.035)were significantly higher in patients with moderate and severe vascular calcification,while serum sRANKL level [(0.10±0.08) pmol/L vs (0.12±0.08) pmol/L, t=0.534, P>0.05] was not significantly different. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that OPG/sRANKL ratio was independent factor of vascular calcification score. (2)Compared to patients with normal bone volume, the patients with abnormal bone volume had higher serum OPG level [(249.05±137.66) ng/L vs (226.67±170.12) ng/L], lowerserum sRANKL level [(0.11±0.08) pmol/L vs (0.12±0.02) pmol/L], and higher OPG/sRANKL ratio(202.31±219.24 vs 148.08±210.10), but these parameters were not significantly different betweenthese two groups. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that OPG/sRANKL ratio was anindependent factor of T score of lumbar vertebra. (3)Muhiple linear regression analysis revealed that vascular calcification score was an independent factor of T score of lumbar vertebra and hip.Conclusions Vascular calcification score is an independent factor of BMD of lumbar vertebra and hip in MHD patients. Serum OPG/sRANKL ratio may play an important role in the association between vascular calcification and BMD in MHD patients.

Objective To investigate mechanism involved in the differentiation of FBL-3 cells(eryth-roleukemia cells)induced by dendritic cells(DC). Methods To cultural the FBL-3 cells together with the DC supematant of different concentration for 72 hours,then we used the Wright's staining methed to record the ma-ture monocyte cell population, the transmission electron microscope to observe the ultramicrostructure, the flow eytoraetry to detect the expression rate of the surface molecular CD14. Results The Wright's staining methed, the transmission electron microscope and the flow cytometry all presented that after being induced by the super-natant of the DC ,the FBL-3 cells can partly differentiate into monocytes,inversion monocyte consistent with the personal characteristics. And the intensity of the DC supernatant was connected with interleukin-12. Conclusion The DC supernatant can induce the FBL-3 cells into monocytoid cell, the differentiated cells correspond to monocyte in macro-appearance,uhramicrostructure and phenotype. The competence of the DC supematant are partly concerned with interleukin-12.

Objective To observe prospectively and systematically the effect and safety of rhendostati injection (endostar) combined with FOLFOX as a second line chemotherapy for advanced/metastatic colorectal cancer. Methods 23 patients with histological confirmed advanced/metastatic colorectal cancer after first line chemotherapy failure were observed. The dosage of 15 mg/time of endostar solved in 500ml normal saline was slowly intravenously dropped 4 h from day 1 to day 14. Oxaliplatin 85 mg/m~2 iv 2-3 h dl, d15. CF 200 mg/m~2 iv 2 h followed by 5-Fu 400 mg iv bolus and 5-Fu 600 mg/m~2 iv 22 h dl-2, d15-16 were given, every 4 weeks as one cycle. Efficacy was evaluated after 2 cycles according to RECIST criteria. Results 23 cases had been completed totally 56 cycles. Among 23 cases, 8 cases were PR, 12 cases SD, and 3 cases PD. The objective response rate (RR) was 34.8 % (8/23), and the disease control rate (DCR) was 87.0 % (20/23). The median time to progression was 7 months. The 1-year survival rate were 50.0 %. The 2-year survival rate was 40.0 %. The occurrence rate of G3/4 toxicities was low, including neutropenia(21.7 %), anemia(4.3 %), thrombocytopenia (13.0 %). Those toxicities were mainly related with the chemotherapy agents. Meanwhile transient electrocardiogram changes mild ST-T of changes occurred in 3 cases. 2 cases were mild hypertension and were symptomatically controlled. Conclusion There are better efficacies of endostar combined with FOLFOX chemotherapy for advanced/metastatic colorectal cancer, and it is low toxic and tolerable. It is worth of further clinical observation. More experiences need to be accumulated.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the inhibitory effect of genistin combined with anastrozole on the growth and apoptosis of breast tumor tissue, and to study their anti-cancer mechanism by using the model of 7,12-dimethylbenz [alpha] anthracene (DMBA)-induced mammary tumors following ovariectomy in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats.

METHODSThe DMBA induced postmenopausal SD rats were randomly divided into the control group, the genistein group, the anastrozole group, and the genistein combined with anastrozole group. The growth of tumors was observed in each group. The proliferation index and apoptosis index of tumor cells were determined. Moreover, estradiol (E2) and 17beta-HSD1 mRNA levels were determined by ELISA and RT-PCR respectively.

RESULTSThe tumor growth was inhibited in the genistein group and the anastrozole group. The inhibitory ratio was significantly higher in the genistein combined with anastrozole group (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, levels of E2 and 17beta-HSD1 mRNA decreased more significantly in the genistein combined with anastrozole group (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONSGenistein could suppress the growth of mammary tumors in postmenopausal rats. It showed synergistic effect when combined with anastrozole, which resulted in reduced levels of E2 and 17beta-HSD1 mRNA. It had inhibitory effect on the growth of breast tumors.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the relationship between degree of abnormal deeper lateral femoral notch between anterior cruciate ligament tear.

METHODSThe radiograph and MRI image material of 16 patients with anterior cruciate ligament injury from January 2013 to November 2013 were reviewed including 14 males and 2 females with an average age of 28.3 years old ranging from 18 to 52 years. Eleven cases was on right side and 5 on left. Survey tool of PASC imaging system was used to measure the depth of lateral femoral notch in patients with abnormal indicated by lateral X-ray view or sagittal view of MRI in knee joint,while clinical data,physical examination,image material in arthroscopy of these patients were retrospective researched.

RESULTSFour patients had an abnormal lateral femoral notch with the depth of 2 mm on lateral X-ray and sagittal MRI, while positive anterior drawer sign and Lachman test as well as anterior cruciate ligament tears on MRI, and completed tears were comfirmed on the operation of arthroscopy. Two patients without abnomal lateral femoral notch on lateral view of X-ray while with the depth of 1 mm on sagittal view of MRI were also coupled with positive anterior drawer sign and Lachman test as well as anterior cruciate ligament tears on MRI, and one of them were comfirmed completed anterior cruciate ligament tears on the arthroscopy operation and completed tear could not comfirmed on another one because of disagreed with arthroscopy operation.

CONCLUSIONThere appears to be an association between abnormal lateral femoral notch on lateral view of knee with anterior cruciate ligament tears. An abnormal deeper lateral femoral notch is an indirect evidence for anterior cruciate ligament tears.
