Objective To study the therapeutic efficacy of combined interventional chemotherapy and intravesical instillation of mitomycin on preventing bladder cancers from recurring after local ablation. Methods 28 patients with superficial bladder cancers were randomized into combined interventional chemotherapy and intravesical instillation of mitomycin or intravesical instillation of mitomycin alone for preventing recurrence after local ablation.The result was assessed by ? 2 test. Objective: To identify specific biomarkers that could improve early diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) technology. Methods: Serum samples were isolated from 17 patients with stage I lung adenocarcinoma and 17 age- and sex-matched healthy controls, and the serum proteomic profiles were obtained by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry. Results: Compared with healthy control group, two highly expressed potential biomarkers were identified with the relative molecular weights of 6631.64 Da and 4964.21 Da. The two best novel protein peaks were automatically chosen for the system training and the development of the constructed model. The constructed model was then used to test an independent set of masked serum samples from 15 lung adenocarcinoma patients and 22 healthy individuals. The analysis yielded a sensitivity of 93.3%, and a specificity of 95.5%. Conclusion: These results suggest that MALDI-TOF-MS ProteinChip technology is a quick, convenient, and high-output analyzing method that is capable of selecting several relatively potential biomarkers from the serum of lung adenocarcinoma patients and may have a clinical value in the future, and will provide clues to identifying new serologic biomarkers of lung adenocarcinoma.

Objective To study the expressions of IL-1 receptor type Ⅰ(IL-1RI) mRNA and IL-1? protein in the rat carotid body. Methods In situ hybridization,immunofluorescence double staining and Western blotting methods were used. Results The result of in situ hybridization showed that the positive signal of IL-1? mRNA was mainly located in the glomus cells of the carotid body.The result of immunofluorescence double staining showed that IL-1? protein also expressed in the glomus cells of the organ.The Western blotting proved that the IL-1? immunoreactive band appeared at 18kD,consistent with the molecular weight of the cytokine.Conclusion The glomus cells of the rat carotid body not only express IL-1RI mRNA,but also IL-1?.

OBJECTIVETo study the medium and long term effects of perfusion of bone marrow stromal stem cells through optional artery for the treatment of non-traumatic femoral head avascular necrosis.

METHODSFrom January 2000 to December 2004,62 cases(78 hips) with non-traumatic femoral head necrosis accepted optional artery marrow stromal stem cells infusion treatment and had complete follow-up data, including 43 hips of 35 males and 35 hips of 27 females with an average age of 36.3 years old (22 to 54). According to preoperative imaging data, 16 hips were ARCO I stage, 52 hips were II stage, 10 hips were III a stage. Harris score was 64.94 +/- 8.12 preoperatively. Postoperative Harris score at the last follow-up, imaging changes,DSA vascular changes were analysis.

RESULTSThe patients were followed up for 9 to 13 years (means 11 years). By the end of the follow-up, a total of 18 hips got artificial joint replacement, 10 hips of preoperative ARCO I, II period got artificial hip joint replacement, 8 hips of IIIa period got hip artificial joint replacement. Harris score was 71.21 +/- 0.19 at the end of the follow-up, it was obviously enhanced compared with preoperative. DSA showed blood vessels of supply the femoral head increased thickening.

CONCLUSIONPerfusion of bone marrow stromal stem cells through optional artery can effective treat non-traumatic femoral head necrosis of ARCO I, II period, it can make the femoral circumflex artery and its branches increased thickening.

Objective To explore the clinical characteristics,management and pregnancy outcome in patients with ovarian tumor and ovarian tumor like condition complicated with pregnancy.Methods The clinical data of 248 patients with ovarian tumor and ovarian tumor like condition eomplicated with pregnancy who treated,operated and pathology conducted from January 2003 to December 2009 was analyzed retrospectively.Results Among of 248 patients,8 patients were found by pelrioscopy,184 patients were found by sonography.The rate of ovarian tumor and ovarian tumor like condition during pregnancy was 0.49％ (248/50 652),about 52.82％(131/248)were diagnosed as benign tumor,most of them were ovarian mature teratoma(22.18％,55/248).About 45.56％(113/248)were diagnosed as ovarian tumor like condition,most of them were ovarian chocolatecyst(23.79％,59/248).Four patients(1.61％,4/248)were ovarian malignant tumor.Two hundred and sixteen received operation,term birth was in 164 patients,premature birth was in 19 patients,miscarriage was in 33 patients.Conclusions Pelvioscopy and sonogaraphy are principally important in the diagnosis and detection of ovarian tumor during pregnancy.Pregnancy complicated with ovarian tumor or ovarian tumor like condition should be treated by tumor resection.Suitable surgery intervention during second trimester is safe.

Objective To study the effect of chloral hydrate on click sound evoked auditory brainstem re-sponse (ABR) in healthy adult guinea pig .Methods A total of 20 healthy wild type albino male guinea pigs were se-lected for ABR assessment with click sound stimulation conscious and cholral hydrate anesthesia conditions .The ABR threshold was determined according to the wave that presents highest occurrence rate under different stimulus intensity .The latency ,interpeak latency of each wave at 90 dB peSPL stimulation as well as the amplitude of waveⅡ ,Ⅲ ,Ⅳ under different stimulus intensity were recorded .Results The ABR threshold in chloral hydrate anes-thesia was 25 .50 ± 2 .76 dB peSPL and at the waking state was 28 .5 ± 3 .66 dB peSPL from control group (P>0 .05) .The latencies of each wave recorded under chloral hydrate anesthesia state were prolonged compared to those of under waking state ,wave Ⅲ ,Ⅳ and Ⅴ had significance differences (P<0 .05) ,but wave Ⅰ ,Ⅱ had no significant differences (P>0 .05) .The interpeak latency between wave Ⅰ - Ⅴ ,Ⅲ - Ⅳ ,Ⅳ - Ⅴ in chloral hydrate anesthesia were longer compared to those of under waking state with significant differences (P<0 .05) ,while interpeak latency between Ⅰ - Ⅱ ,Ⅱ - Ⅲ had no significant differences (P> 0 .05) .The amplitude and occurrence rate of wave Ⅱwere the highest among all the waves in both experimental group and control group .The amplitude of wave Ⅱ and Ⅲ in chloral hydrate anesthesia was higher than that of the waking state under acoustic stimulation conditions ofhigh intensity(P<0 .05) while the amplitude of wave Ⅳ was lower than the waking state (P<0 .05) .Conclusion The chloral hydrate anesthesia may be able to apparently lengthen the ABR latencies of wave Ⅲ ,Ⅳ ,Ⅴ and affect the amplitude .This effect should be considered during the assessment of ABR under anesthesia state in guinea pig ;The ABR threshold of guinea pig could be determined according to the wave Ⅱ because it 's highest occurrence rate .
