Objective To explore the contribution of endoplasmic reticulum stress to cardiac myocyte apoptosis in mouse congestive heart failure induced by Doxorubicin.Methods Doxorubicin (DOX)was administered intraperitoneally to rats,2 mg/kg doses over 8 weeks.Echocardiographic and hemodynamics measurements were obtained at 8 weeks after treatment.Then left ventricular (LV) samples were collected.The successfully established rats were divided into 3 groups (Fu Shen Ke Li 40 mg/kg,60 mg/kg,and 80 mg/kg).After 5 weeks post the operation,an echocardiographic was performed on all the rats under narcotism,Western blot to test the B-cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2),myeloid cell leukemia-1 (Mcl-1),Bcl-2-Associated X (Bax),Caspase-3,C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP),and 78-kDa glucose-regulated protein(GRP78),and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to test the mRNA expression levels of Mcl-1,and NOXA.Results The left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD),left ventricular end systolic diameter (LVESD),left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) prompted modeling success The left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD),left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),and fractional shortening (FS) have been improved in high and middle groups of Fu Shen Ke Li.Compared to the model group,higher expression levels of Bcl-2,and Mcl-1 were,lower expressions of Bax,NOXA,CHOP,and GRP78 were (P ＜ O.05) in 3 groups of Fu Shen Ke Li.Compared to the model group,there were higher mRNA expression level of Mcl-1 was,lower mRNA expression of NOXA was (P ＜ 0.05) in 3 groups of Fu Shen Ke Li.Conclusions Fu Shen Ke Li depresses endoplasmic reticulum stress,which can reduce the apoptosis of myocardial cells,and ultimately achieve the purpose of treatment of heart failure.

Objective To understand the relationship between Toxoplasma gondii infection and pet-breeding and hygienic status. Methods One or two districts were chosen from Jining City, Za-ozhuang City and Linyi City as study areas and the questionnaire surveys were carried out for hygienic status, etc. The pet-breeders and non-pet-breeders were paired by sex, age, living place and occupation so on in a ratio of one to one. Blood samples taken from each were tested for antibodies against T. gondii with ELISA in a double-blind method. Results The total infection rate was 14. 25%, much higher than that investigated ten years ago (1. 53%). Objective To screen the proteins interacting with AMP-activated protein kinase ?2(AMPK?2)in rat brain cDNA library by bacterial two-hybrid system,and to investigate the biological role and the regulatory mechanism of AMPK?2 in brain.Methods The recombinant pBT-AMPK?2 was used as the bait to screen a rat fetal brain cDNA library by bacterial two-hybrid system.The plasmids of positive colonies were extracted and analyzed by DNA sequencing and BLAST search in GenBank.Results Seven proteins binding to AMPK?2 were screened out,including polyubiquitin,small heat shock protein 8,phosphofructokinase,cytochrome C oxidase subunit Ⅰ(COXⅠ),HLA-B-associated transcript 3(BAT3)isoform 1,protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type D(Ptprd)and islet-brain 1(IB1).Conclusion Polyubiquitin,HSP8,phosphofructokinase,COXⅠ,BAT3 isoform 1,Ptprd and IB1 can interact with AMPK?2 in brain.

Objective:To analyze adverse drug reactions(ADRs)associated with proprietary Chinese medicine occurring in Beijing Hospital.Method:The ADRs associated with proprietary Chinese medicine between 2002 and 2006 were collected and the associated information was retrospectively analyzed.Result:a total of 179 ADRs were analyzed. Most of them occurring in women patients(76.1%)with hyperplasia of mammary glands who took Xiaojin pills and Xi- huang pills(22.1% & 12%).The herbal medicine injections were the other most associated ones.The clinical appearances of ADRs were rash and bodily manifestation of hypersensitiveness.Condusion:The investigation of Chinese medicine ADR plays a very important role in the modernization of Chinese medicine.

Objective To compare the biomechanical properties between the two-level fixation by im- plantation of pedicle-screws into the adjacent upper and lower vertebrae of the fractured vertebra and the three-level fixation by implantation of pedicle screws into the fractured vertebra and its adjacent upper and lower vertebrae in the treatment of thoracolumbar burst fractures.Methods Eight fresh frozen calf spines were used in this study.Each specimen was tested in four models:intact model as the control,L1 burst fracture model,two-level fixation model, and three-level fixation model.The L1 burst fracture model was created on a biaxial material testing machine (MTS858 Bionix test system,America).During the experiment,the flexion,extension,bilateral bending and axial rotation loadings were applied to the specimens and the range of motion(ROM)was measured with a three-dimensional laser analysis apparatus and the stiffness was calculated subsequently.One-way statistical analysis was used.Results The ROMs under six different loadings in the fracture model became larger obviously(P＜0.05)and the stiffness decreased(P＜0.05).The ROMs in both fixation models were smaller than those in the other models(P＜0.01)and the stiffness increased distinctly(P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in ROMs and stiffness between the two-level fixation and three-level fixation models(P＞0.05).Conclusion Two-level fixation provides similar biomechanical stability as three-level fixation does in the reconstruction of unstable thoracolumbar fractures.

Chinese medicinal materials are likely to be polluted by various kinds of fungal toxins during the plantation,collection,transportation and storage,which results in the possibility that quality,safety and treatment effect fails to meet the requirement of safe medicine.This paper reviewed the domestic and overseas studies on the pollution of fungus and fungal toxins in herbs,and made an introduction to the limit standard of fungus and fungal toxins.This paper discussed the importance to establish the inspection standard of various fungal toxins in Chinese medicinal materials and their limit standards to provide references to medication safety and improvement of quality control standard system of Chinese medicinal materials.

Objective To study the characteristics of MRI Lesions in posterior circulation cerebral infarction and the correlation of the syndrome types of traditional Chinese medicine.Methods 82 patients with posterior circulation cerebral infarction from May 2012 to May 2015 were recruited, two observers estimated cranial MRI infarct size, location, and TCM syndrome type in the hospital medical records of the patients separately.Results Of all patients with posterior circulation cerebral infarction, patients with meridians involved infarction in the distant part of posterior circulation is far more than other parts of the posterior circulation(21 patient,P=0.006), nevertheless,patients with apoplexy involving Zang-fu organs,cerebral infarction volume is larger (14.78 ± 5.68 mlvs. 9.12 ± 6.67 ml,P=0.001).Conclusion Of all patients with posterior cerebral infarction, patients with meridians be involved, infarction in the distant part of posterior circulation is far more than other parts of the posterior circulation, nevertheless, in patients with apoplexy involving Zang-fu Organs, cerebral infarction volume is larger.
