Objective To explore the expressions of CD44, CD44V3, CD44V6 and PCNA and the relationship between the expressions and clinical pathologic changes of human osteosarcoma Methods The expressions of CD44, CD44V3, CD44V6 and PCNA in 15 osteochondromas and 40 osteosarcomas were detected immunohistochemically Results (1) The positive expression rates of CD44, CD44V3 and CD44V6 in osteosarcoma were markedly higher than those in osteochondroma (2) The positive expression rate of CD44V6 was higher than those of CD44 and CD44V3 in osteochondroma (3) The expression of CD44V6 was not involved in the pathological type or the prognosis in osteochondroma (4) The expressions of CD44 and CD44V6, particularly that of CD44V6, were closely involved in the PCNA positive rate Conclusion CD44V6 might act as a marker of malignancy of the bone tumors, but the relationship with the prognosis in malignant bone tumors waits to be further studied

Objective To investigate the changes of interleukin-17A(IL-17A)and interleukin-22(IL-22)in the lung of cigarette smoke exposed mice and the effect of smoking cessation and N -acetylcysteine (NAC )treatment . Methods BALB /c mice in experimental groups were exposed to cigarette smoke. Then the smoke-exposure was stopped and mice were treated with NAC gavage. The mice were executed 1,2,and 3 months after smoking cessa-tion.Lung tissue sample and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)were collected.HE staining was used to observe the pathologic changes of the lung and ELISA was used to measure the level of IL-17A and IL-22.Results Con-siderable emphysematous changes was found in the lung of mice exposed to cigarette smoke.Compared with the controls, the level of IL-17A and IL-22 elevated remarkably in pulmonary tissue and BALF after smoking exposure and declined gradually after smoking cessation.Additional NAC gavage treatment enhanced the decline tendency. Conclusion IL-17A and IL-22 might play a complex role in the chronic inflammatory changes of lung in mice ex-posed to cigarette smoke.

Neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM) is a glycoprotein expressing on the surface of neurons, glial cells, bone cells and natural killer cells. NCAM plays an important role in the process of cell - cell adhesion and cell migration, and is also a model protein to study polysialic acid. In this paper, NCAM gene from mouse mammary gland cells (NMuMG) was cloned into eukaryotic expression vectors pcDNA3.1(+) and transfected into mutant Chinese hamster ovary cells ldlD-14. The stable transfection over-expressing NCAM was obtained through the G418 selection and confirmed by Western blotting. Due to unique characters of ldlD-14 cells, carbohydrate chain of NCAM molecule can be easily manipulated with or without adding galactose in the serum free medium, and this modification can provide the basis for further studies on the effect of glycosylation on NCAM molecular function.

Objective To explore the value of follow-up of serum TSH stimulating thyroglobulin (Tg) test and 131I whole body scan(WBS) in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer(DTC) who were treated by 131I.Methods By SPSS software,Kappa test was performed between results of serum Tg,TgAb test and WBS for diagnosis of persistent/recurrent DTC.Results Consistency test of TSH stimulating Tg,TgAb and 131I WBS for diagnostic persistent/recurrent or metastasis of DTC:kappa value =0.587,SE =0.076,P < 0.01.Although the results showed that two measurements appeared definite consistency,it is dissatisfactory. Conclusion Serum TSH stimulating Tg test and 131I whole body scan(WBS) are important follow-up tools for patients with DTC.Because of Tg interfering it is necessary to performed TgAb test simultaneously, when Tg test was performed.Especially 131I WBS do is not absent because false negative would be able to appeared in single serum TSH stimulating Tg and TgAb test.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of percutaneous transluminal septal myocardial ablation (PTSMA) and septal myectomy (SM) for treatment of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. Methods We searched all clinical controlled trials of PTSMA and SM in treatment of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy in Cochrane Library,PubMed,Web of Science,Wanfang Database and CNKI update to August,2012.The selected studies in Chinese and English were used for Meta-analysis with software RevMan 5.0.Results Five studies including 286 cases (PTSMA:149,SM:137) were included in the study.Left ventricular outflow tract pressure was significantly reduced by SM treatment compared with PTSMA (OR =9.07,95% CI:0.96-17.18,P =0.030).There were no significant differences in interventricular septum thickness (OR =1.15,95% CI:-0.79-3.10,P =0.240),left atrial diameter (OR =1.95,95% CI:-0.16-4.07,P =0.070),left ventricular end-diastolic (OR =0.70,95% CI:-0.79-2.19,P =0.360),end systolic diameter (OR =1.14,95 % CI:-1.65-3.93,P =0.420),degree of symptom improvement (chest pain:OR =1.07,95 % CI:0.35-3.23,P =0.910;syncope:OR =0.32,95% CI:0.08-1.23,P =0.100),and postoperative mortality (OR =1.63,95%CI:0.46-5.76,P =0.450) between PTSMA and SM treatment; but the rates of pacemaker implantation (OR =5.91,95% CI:2.04-17.11,P =0.001) and reintervention treatment (OR =6.62,95%CI:1.20-36.62,P=0.030) in patients with PTMSA were significantly higher than those with SM.Conclusions There is no evidence to indicate that PTSMA can completely replace SM,as an alternative choice the therapy can be used according to left ventricular out flow tract pressure, symptoms, anatomy of target vessel and other conditions.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of heat-sensitive point thunder-fire moxibustion in treating knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Methods One hundred and forty-eight KOA patients were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups, 74 cases each. The treatment group received heat-sensitive point thunder-fire moxibustion and the control group took diclofenac sodium enteric-coated tablets. The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score, the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) score and 50 yards fastest walking time were observed in the two groups before and after 30 days of treatment. The clinical therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups. Results There were statistically significant pre-/post-treatment differences in the VAS score and WOMAC subscores in the two groups (P<0.01). There was a statistically significant pre-/post-treatment difference in 50 yards fastest walking time in the treatment group (P<0.05). There were statistically significant post-treatment differences in the VAS score, the WOMAC score and the WOMAC pain and stiffness scores between the treatment and control groups (P<0.01). There were statistically significant differences in the VAS and WOMAC scores at three months after treatment between the treatment and control groups (P<0.01). The total efficacy rate was 95.9%at the end of treatment and 95.6%at three months after treatment in the treatment group, and 86.1%at the end of treatment and 86.8%at three months after treatment in the control group; there were statistically significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Heat-sensitive point thunder-fire moxibustion is an effective way to treat knee osteoarthritis.

International Eye Science 2017;17(8):1469-1472
Epiretinal membrane (ERM) is a relatively common macular disease that forms along the surface of the internal limiting membrane (ILM) of the retina to some reason. The pathogenesis is not clear.Microincision vitrectomy surgery has been confirmed as a minimally invasive and very safe modality of treatment.Deciding when to perform a vitrectomy can be difficult. There are many factors which can affect the postoperative visual acuity, such as age,the thickness of macular, integrity of photoreceptor inner segment/outer segment (IS/OS) junction.
