OBJECTIVETo establish a method for rapid determination of organic fluorides in the air of a fluorine chemical plant using portable gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS).
METHODSStandard samples of monochlorodifluoromethane, tetrafluoroethylene, and hexafluoropropylene of different concentrations were prepared by static volumetric method with high-purity nitrogen as the diluent gas. The samples were injected into the GC-MS by a hand-held probe. Retention time and characteristic ion were used for qualitative analysis, and the area of selected ion peak was used for quantitative analysis. The standard curves were then created for quantitative determination of the three organic fluorides.
RESULTSThe linear ranges for monochlorodifluoromethane, tetrafluoroethylene, and hexafluoropropylene by the method were 0.39-7.72, 0.45-8.84, and 0.61-12.20 mg/m3, respectively, the average recovery rates for the three concentrations were 102.8%, 96.0%, and 106.5%, respectively, and the average deviations were 2.1%, 5.1%, and 2.4%, respectively.
CONCLUSIONThe portable GC-MS can be used for the simultaneous qualitative and quantitative analysis of monochlorodifluoromethane, tetrafluoroethylene, and hexafluoropropylene in the workplace air, and the method is simple, fast, and accurate.

Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2006;0(S2):-
Objective To investigate the changes of plasma levels of glucagon in cirrhotic patients and its effect in the pathogenesis of portal hemodynamics. Methods Plasma levels of glueagon were measured by radioimmunoassay(RIA)in 42 patients with liver cirrhosis and 20 healthy controls. The max diameters, mean flow velocity, flow rate of the portal vein trunks(PV)and splenic veins(SV)were detected by Color Doppler Ultrasound. Results Plasma levels of glucagon in cir- rhotic patients were significantly higher than those in controls and were increased with the severity of hepatic function im- pairment as assessed by Child-Pugh grade.Patients with ascites showed signifieanthigher plasma glucagon levels than those without ascites.Plasma levels of glueagon were positively correlated with portal vein diameters, splenic vein diame- ters and splenic vein flows. Conclusion The increase of plasma glucagon levels reflects,in part, the severity of impair- ment of hepaticfunction. In addition,it may contribute to the pathogenesis of portal hypertension.

Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(2):108-110
Chemotherapy- induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) can be caused by many commonly used chemotherapeutic agents, such as taxanes, vinca alkaloids, platinum drugs, thalidomide, and also by newer agents such as bortezomib. Both animal experiments and clinical studies are being conducted to investigate strategies for preventing CIPN or ameliorating established CIPN without affecting the antitumor efficacy of chemotherapy. Treatments using calcium and magnesium infusions, glutathione, lipoid acid are being evaluated for their clinical application.

Objective To study the mechanism of activity change of gastric alcohol dehydrogenases(ADH).We investigated ADH before and after ingestion of alcohol on rats. Methods Thirty-nine rats were divided into two groups at random:model ones(24 cases) and control ones(15 cases).Model group of rats were infused into stomaches by alcohol, and control ones by distill water.Structures of cell and sub-cell in gastric mucous membrane were observed by enzyme electron microscope and hematoxylin eosin(HE) stain. Results It was shown that there were dropsical degeneration of chief cells and parietal cells of stomaches by HE stain, and the mitochondria of parietal cells and the rough-surfaced endoplasmic reticulum(rER) of chief cells were destroyed by enzyme electron microscope in model groups after two months of ethanol perfusion. There were not change in control group. Conclusions The mechanism of activity alterations of gastric ADH may result from dropsical degeneration of chief cells and parietal cells of stomach, which result in degeneration, solution and breakage of construction of rER in the chief cells and mitochondria in parietal cells.

Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2014;30(3):514-523
The aim was to establish an effective screening microarray at genus level for Pospiviroid. We analyzed nucleotide sequences from Pospiviroid viroid and designed 19 probes with genus identification characteristics. The standards of these probes included the characters of (i) a GC content between 40 and 60%, (ii) less than 50% of single nucleotide, (iii) less than 4 continuous mononucleotides, and (iv) less than 6 nucleotides in the inner hairpin. We synthesized microarrays by using these probes on glass slides. The validation results of microarray probes show effective signals from chrysanthemum stunt viroid and tomato planta macho viroid standard samples hybridization. The sensitivity results show that the microarray detected 200 pg/microL of total RNA. The microarray can be used to screen Pospiviroid viroid.

Clinical Medicine of China 2011;27(10):1092-1094
Objective To discuss the diagnosis and treatment of the benign tumors of pancreas, especially the surgical options and the prevention and cure of the postoperative complications. Methods Clinical data of 23 patients with benign lesions of the pancreas were retrospectively analyzed in our hospital from Jan.2004 to Dec.2009.All of the patients underwent surgical operation.Five patients were treated with pancreatic enucleation,8 patients were treated with distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy,1 patient was treated with central pancreatectomy,5 patients were treated with pancreaticoduodenectomy,4 patients were treated with pancreatic cyst- jejunum R-Y anastomosis.Eighteen patients were treated with somatostatin analogue. Results The pathological diagnosis included pancreatic cyst in 8,islet cell tumor in 4,mucous cystadenomas in 6,serous cystadenomas in 3,solid-pseudopapillary tumor in 2.Seven of 10 cases having pancreatic leak occoured secondary abdominal infection. One patient died of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome after pancreaticoduodenectomy. Conclusion There is no specific symptoms and serologic laboratory examinations for pancreatic benign tumors.CT and ERCP is very helpful for diagnosis and treatment.Surgical option is according to the location of the lesion and the judgement of the tumor whether being benign or malignant.Pancreaticoduodenectomy, central pancreatectomy, distal pancreatectomy with or without splenectomy and pancreatic enucleation is the reasonable surgical option.Pancreatic leakage is the main post-operation complication.Ligation the pancreatic duct reliably, treating the pancreatic raw surface appropriately, external drainage of the pancreatic fluid can reduce the rate of pancreatic leakage.

Objective To observe the efficacy of pregabalin in the treatment of painful diabeticperipheral neuropathy. Methods In a 8-week study,50 patients were randomly assigned into two groups:the therapy group and the control group. The patients in the therapy group were treated with pregabalin 150 mg/d,and the patients in the control group were treated with carbamazepine 200 mg/d.The dose of pregabalin was increased to 300 mg/d till pain was alleviated in the therapy group, and the dose of carbamazepine was increased to 600 mg/d till pain was alleviated in the control group. The therapeutic effect and VAS score in the two groups were observed and evaluated. Results After 1 and 8 weeks' treatment, the therapeutic effect of therapy group were significantly superior to the control group ( At 1 week:U =2.028,P =0.046 ; At 8 week:U =3.540,P <0.001 ).After 1 and 8 weeks' treatment, the VAS scores of therapy group were significantly lower than the control group ( At 1 week:5.13 ± 1.76 vs.6.74 ± 1.52,P < 0.05 ; At 8 week:1.13 ± 0.45 vs 3.27 ± 1.04,P < 0.05).There were 5 patients (20%) and 10 patients (40%) had adverse reaction in the therapy and the control groups respectively. Conclusion Pregabalin is effective and safe for the treatment of painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
