1.Update of the metastatic mechanisms of malignant tumors

Tumors are classified into two major categories,benign and malignant.One main difference between malignant and benign tumors is their tendency to metastasize and recur.The metastasis itself is an ominous sign for prognosis and responsible for most cancer deaths.The metastatic "cascade" comprises a lot of steps,including escape from the primary tumor site,penetration of local stroma,entry of local vascular or lymphatic vessels,aggregation with platelets,interaction with and adhesion to distant endothelia,extravasation,recolonization,and expansion,all the time avoiding effective immune clearance and being able to survive.It has now been shown to contain stem cell-like cells called cancer stem cells(CSC) in several solid tumors.Although generally rare,these cells appear to be highly tumorigenic and may drive tumor formation and mediate tumor metastasis.
2.Application of CT perfusion imaging in oncological study

Angiogenesis is an important feature of malignant neoplasm and plays an essential role in the genesis,growth and metastasis of tumors. CT perfusion imaging (CTPI),as one of the functional imaging techniques reflecting neovascularity of neoplasm,perfectly combines anatomical imaging with physiological information and can be used in a range of clinical areas,such as differentiation between benign and malignant lesions,early detection of malignancy or metastasis,prediction of tumor behavior and the assessment of responses to therapies. Many researches have been done on perfusion CT in tumors of the brain,thyroid gland,salivary gland,mammary gland,lungs,liver,esophagus,kidney,colorectum,and so on. The present article reviews the basic principles of perfusion CT and its clinical application in tumors.
4.The effect of renal angioplasty and medical therapy on blood pressure and renal function in asymptomatic ARAS patients with stenosis of 50%~70%—a prospective controlled study

0.05).Conclusion Renal angioplasty showed a drug-dosage-saving effect on blood pressure and seemed to protect the renal function from deterioration in asymptomatic ARAS patients with stenosis ranged from 50% to 70%.Large-scaled and long-term studies are needed to verify our results.
5.Life Quality of Children with Intractable Epilepsy and Effect of Psychological Intervention on Them

Objective To investigate the life quality of children with intractable epilepsy and observe the effect of psychological intervention on them.Methods Thirty-nine children with intractable epilepsy,42 children with drug respond epilepsy and 40 healthy children were employed and tested by using of the child self-report scale of quality of life for children with epilepsy.Scores of quality of life were compared among 3 groups.Children with intractable epilepsy were divided randomly into 2 groups:psychological intervention group(19 cases)and non psychological intervention group(20 cases).Only drug treatment was given in non psychological intervention group,drug treatment and psychological intervention were given in psychological intervention group,quality of life was valuated before and 1 month after psychological intervention,then scores of quality of life were compared after and before psychological intervention in psychological intervention group,total scores of quality of life were compared between psychological intervention group after and before psychological intervention and non psychological intervention group.Results Compared with children with drug respond epilepsy and healthy children,the children with intractable epilepsy had lower scores of quality of life(Pa
6.Long term outcome of PTRA and stenting in patients with atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis and predictors analysis

Glioma is the most common intracranial malignant tumor,with high incidence and recurrence rate,high fatality rate and the characteristics of low cure rate.Current treatment is given priority to with surgical treatment,auxiliary comprehensive therapy such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a intermediate product of the cell oxygen metabolism which is a universal phenomenon in aerobic organisms.H2O2 is indispensable at various stages of tumor cell proliferation,infiltration and metastasis.Studies of the production of H2O2 and its function,the mechanism of apoptosis and the relationship between H2O2 and glioma cells can provide corresponding guidances for looking for a target gene for the treatment of gliomas.

Objective To investigate the effects of the gene expressions of FAS、FASL、FADD and caspase-8 in esophageal carsinogenesis. Methods Immunohistochemical method was applied to detect the expression of FAS、FASL、FADD and caspase-8 proteins in esophageal epithelium. In situ hybridization method was applied to detect the expression of FADD and caspase-8 mRNA in esophageal epithelium. Results The positive rates of FAS, FADD and caspase-8 proteins and FADD、caspase-8 mRNA were decreased from normal epithelium to dysplasia and carcinoma tissues gradually. The positive rates of FASL protein were increased from normal epithelium to dysplasia and carcinoma tissues gradually.
