To study the relationship between asthma and bronchial hyper responsiveness(BHR).The reactivity of bronchi to inhalation of methacholine, the plasma levels of substance P(SP),soluble P selection (sP selectin),vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP), and fibronectin(Fn) were assessed in 68 cases of asthma, 62 patients with cough variant asthma(CAV), and 43 healthy subjects. It was showed that the tests of airway reactivity were all positive in 68 cases of asthma and 62 cases of CVA.Dmin in asthma and CVA was(8 81?9 67)u and(5 97?4 37)u,respectively,in these two groups of patients. Dmin in asthma patients was higher than in CAV patients ( P

To investigate amethod which could prolong the efficient time of morphine and decrease side effect. Met hods:100 patients were randomly divided into four groups, receiving the different dispensation of analgesia. Analgesic solutions were given into epi dural space 510 minutes before operation was finished. Analgesic efficiency, efficient time, and side effects were recorded. esult: Sol utions diluted with hypertonia glucose injection might prolong the efficient time obviously (P<0.01). When combined with bupivacaine or scopolamine the sid e effects were decreased. Conclusion: Morphine combined wi th bupivacaine or scopolamine diluted with hypertonis glucose injection, used in epidural analgesia, can bring longer efficient time and less side effects.

Purpose To investigate the relationship between the changes of the thickness of retina in macula and the abnormalities in multifocal electroretinograms (mERG) in diabetic retinopathy. Methods mERG and optical coherence tomography (OCT) examination were performed in 38 patients (60 eyes) with DR (phase Ⅲ~Ⅳ). The data were processed with software SPSS and line relation analysis was done. Results The response densities of N 1, P 1 and N 2 in central 5? area was significantly negative related to the thickness of neuroretina in macular fovea (correlation efficient -0.252~-0.266, P

Journal of International Oncology 2006;0(09):-
17-allylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin (17-AAG) is a heat shock protein 90 ( HSP90) inhibitor. It is capable of target-inhibiting tumor-derived HSP90, leading to the depletion of on-cogenic client proteins which play key roles in several signal transduction pathways. Then cell growth and differetiation are inhibited. 17-AAG results in cytostasis and apoptosis. A lot of trials have indicated that 17-AAG is a selective target drug for cancer therapy. It can efficiently inhibit multiple signal transduction pathways involved in tumor cell proliferation and survival. Clinical phaseⅠand phaseⅡtrials have shown that 17-AAG has good pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic profile. Moreover, it can combine with radiation and the traditional chemotherapeutics and increase the therapeutic efficacy.

Objective To evaluate the changes of respiratory mechanics and central drive in sleeping patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Methods A total of 14 patients with moderate to severe COPD (age 63.7± 6.4 years) and 10 healthy volunteers, admitted to our hospital from October 2010 to October 2011,were chosen in our study. After performing routine pulmonary function test, all subjects were monitored by respiratory mechanics, diaphragm electromyogram (EMGdi) and polysomnography (PSG) in waking and sleeping state. The different physiological parameters were recorded and calculated on a continuous basis in time sequence for 30 minutes. Results In sleeping state as compared with waking state, there were no differences(P>0.05) in respiratory rate(RR) and the ratio of inspiratory time to duration of one breath (Ti/Ttot),but there were reductions (P < 0.05) in the tidal volume (VT),minute ventilation (VE),mean inspiratory volume per second(VT/Ti),dynamic lung compliance(CLdyn),root mean square (RMS)and pulse oxygen saturation(SpO2).Meanwhile there were significant increases (P<0.05) in airway resistance(Raw) and pressure-time product(PTP) in COPD group. In normal group, there were no differences (P>0.05) in all above physiological parameters in sleeping state compared with waking state. Conclusions There are abnormal changes in respiratory mechanics characterized by increased airway resistance and work of breathing, meanwhile in reduced central drive and requirement of ventilation, which may be the main reasons for hypopnea and hypoxemia in sleeping COPD patients.

Objective To assess the effect of QRS duration (QRSd) and cardiac function during right ventricular apex(RVA) pacing, right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) pacing and right ventricular bifocal (RV-Bi) pacing. Methods Eight patients underwent RVA pacing,RVOT pacing and RV-Bi pacing during pacemaker implantation operation. The ejection fraction (EF),stroke index (SV),cardiac output(CO),QRS QRSd,QRS axis (QRSa) were measured after each pacing at the same pacing frequency. Results Compared with RVA pacing, the EF,SV and CO increased during RVOT pacing and RV-Bi pacing. The cardiac function of RV-Bi pacing was significantly increased (P

Over-expression of APP and Swedish mutation could cause some familial early onset AD. In this study, a primary screening was conducted of effective small interference RNAs (siRNAs) targeted wild type APP (APPwt) and Swedish mutant APP (APPswe). One siRNA targeting APPwt and the other siRNA targeting APPswe were designed. All these siRNAs were endogenously expressed by siRNAs expressing plasmids. COS-7 cells were transiently co-transfected with APP-GFP recombinant plasmids and siRNA expression vector. The silencing effect of each siRNA was quantitatively assessed by the level of expression of green fluorescent protein (GFP). It was found that the siRNAs silenced APPwt and APPswe to different degrees. siRNA directed against APPswe was more effective in suppressing the expression of fusion gene of APPswe than that of APPwt. The silencing effect of siRNA directed against APPswe indicating allele-specific silencing property of the siRNAs. Therefore, siRNAs directed against APP play an important role both in the therapeutic study of Alzheimer disease and functional exploration ofAPP gene.

Chronic low back pain is a common type of pain which is related to the dysfunction of low back muscles. In recent years, the pressure biofeedback has been widely used for the assessment and treatment of chronic low back pain. This paper reviewed the reliability and validity of pressure biofeedback unit in the evaluation of lumbar and abdominal muscles activity, as well as its application on the rehabil-itation of chronic low back pain, which mainly related to the assessment and treatment of lumbar muscle activity and lumbar spine stability.
