2.Safety Management of Hemodialysis Equipment
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2004;0(09):-
Objective To discuss the safety management of hemodialysis equipment for safe and effective treatment to patients. Methods The management methods were summarized in aspects of the installation, utilization and maintenance of hemodialysis equipment. Results The hemodialysis patients received the safe and effective treatment through the strict management and the standardized system. Conclusion The standardized management can not only reduce the unnecessary failures of the equipment, and prolong the service life, but also increase the utilization rate of the equipment, and provide the best, safest and most satisfactory treatment for patients.

Objective To investigate effects of cerebral isehemic preconditioning on neurological function,in- farct volume, and the expression of caspase-3 in brain issue after brain ischemia again, and to investigate the brain protection mechanism produced by cerebral ischemia preconditioning. Methods 48 healthy male Sprague-Dawley (SD)rats(weighted 200~250g)were randomly divided into 2 groups:ischemia group(n=24),ischemia precondi- tioning group(namely preconditioning group,n=24).Each group was divided into 4 subgroups according to 6h,1d, 2d,4d after ischemia again. Results At the same point of time after ischemia, neurological deficit in preconditioning group was much less than that in ischemia group, the difference was significant(P

Objective To measure and analyze the staffing standards of family doctor interdisciplinary team by means of the WHO workload indicator of staffing need (WISN)method, for reference of the government in building family doctor interdisciplinary teams. Methods 150 community health centers in 16 provinces were selected. The related data from 150 centers were collected to analyze the population served by each family doctor, and the staffing standards of family doctor interdisciplinary team by means of the WHO workload indicator of staffing need(WISN)method. Results There were 10 721 community health professionals in the sample centers which provide 132.14 million standard equivalents of service to the public.1 9 6 1 6 community health professionals were needed to ensure the quality of service and no extra workload after work for professionals.Averagely, each family doctor can serve 1 558 residents, who needs 1.3~1.5 nurses or public health workers. Conclusions A huge gap was found for community health professionals. The population served by each family doctor should be lowered compared to the governmental requirement and more nurses should be introduced to the family doctor interdisciplinary team.

Objective:To investigate effects of depside salt from salvia miltiorrhiza(DSSM)on the dental pulp of rats under repeated exposure to +Gz acceleration.Methods:27 male SD rats were randomly divided into 9 groups(n =3).The rats in negative control group was only fixed with rats kept-keeling device,in positive control group were exposed to +5 Gz and +10 Gz respectively for 30 s each time,5 times per day,4 days per week, for 3 consecutive weeks. The rats in other groups were respectively given DSSMat 2,6 and 18 mg/kg respectively 30 min before each +Gz exposure. The rats in negative and positive control groups were injected with 0.9%sodium chloride solution 30 min prior to +Gz exposure. After the experiment,The pulp changes were observed by HE staining.Real time qPCR was applied to determine the relative expression of heat sheck protein(HSP70)mRNA.Results:+Gz exposure decreased the activity degree of the rats, and resulted in damage of rat dental pulp. With the increase of +Gz value, the relative expression of HSP70 mRNA was increased(P <0.05).HSP70 mRNA expression in drug groups was less than that in their own positive control groups, but showed statistical significance only in the 18 mg/kg and +10 Gz group(P <0.05).Conclusion:+Gz exposure may dam-age dental pulp.DSSMhas certain protective effect under +Gz exposure.

Journal of Integrative Medicine 2005;3(3):203-6
OBJECTIVE: To explore the pathological changes of lower extremity arteries of patients with metabolic syndrome. METHODS: Fifty patients with metabolic syndrome (MS) and 30 normal volunteers were included in this study. The inner diameters, peak systolic velocities and intima-media thicknesses of the lower extremity arteries, and the sizes and numbers of the plaques in the lower extremity arteries were obtained with color Doppler ultrasound (CDU). RESULTS: In the fifty MS patients, the intima-media thicknesses of forty-one were thicker than 1.1 mm and thirty-three had plaques which had brought stenosis in different degrees. The intima-media thicknesses of the common femoral, popliteal and posterior tibial arteries in the MS patients were significantly thicker than those in the normal volunteers (P<0.01 or P<0.05), and a greater number of plaques in the lower extremity arteries were observed in the patients, as compared with the normal volunteers (P<0.01). CONCLUSION: Various pathological changes had taken place in the lower extremity arteries of the MS patients. The sites and degrees of the lower extremity arterial diseases in MS patients can be definitely detected with CDU.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2014;37(1):4-6
Objective To observe the relationship between homocysteine (Hcy),C-reactive protein (CRP) and type 2 diabetes peripheral vascular disease (PVD).Methods Fifty-eight patients with type 2 diabetes according to the condition of PVD were divided into simple type 2 diabetes mellitus group (DM group,30 cases) and PVD group (28 cases).Twenty-five healthy people were chosen at the same period as control group. The fasting blood glucose (FBG),glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride (TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),Hcy and CRP levels were detected among 3 groups, and the body mass index (BMI),ankle brachial index(ABI) was calculated. Results The BMI,TG,TC and HDL-C levels among 3 groups had no statistical significance (P >0.05).The FBG,HbA1c and LDL-C in DM group and PVD group were significantly higher than those in control group [(7.54 ± 1.25),(8.12 ± 1.57) mmol/L vs.(4.68 ±0.54)mmol/L; (6.92 ± 0.89)%,(7.54 ± 0.97)% vs.(4.80 ± 0.54)% ; (3.79 ± 0.73),(4.41 ± 0.93) mmol/L vs.(2.68 ± 0.54) mmol/L],and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).But the difference between PVD group and DM group had no statistical significance (P > 0.05).Hcy and CRP in DM group and PVD group were higher than those in control group [(10.26 ± 3.62),(19.83 ± 5.54) μ mol/L vs.(8.92 ± 2.41)μ mol/L; (4.12 ±0.57),(5.47 ±0.85) mg/L vs.(2.73 ±0.54) mg/L],ABI was lower than that in control group(0.92 ± 0.18,0.81 ± 0.16 vs.1.02 ± 0.23),and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05);Hcy,CRP in PVD group were obviously higher than those in DM group,ABI was lower than that in DM group, and the differences were statistically significant (P< 0.05).Spearman analysis showed that Hcy was negatively correlated with ABI (r =-0.635,P < 0.05),CRP was negatively correlated with ABI (r =-0.529,P < 0.05),and Hcy was positively correlated with CRP (r =0.528,P < 0.05).The partial correlation analysis results showed that Hcy and ABI still showed a negative correlation (r =-0.315,P < 0.05),CRP and ABI still showed a negative correlation (r =-0.243,P < 0.05).Conclusion Hcy and CRP participating in the occurrence and development of type 2 diabetes PVD,can be used as a predictor of type 2 diabetes PVD.
