3.Treatment of Graves Hyperthyroidism by Jiakangling Capsule Combined with Reduction of 131I: an Efficacy Observation.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2016;36(1):59-62
OBJECTIVETo observe the clinical efficacy of Jiakangling Capsule (JC) combined with reduction of 1311 in treatment of Graves hyperthyroidism.
METHODSTotally 387 Graves hyperthyroidism patients were randomly assigned to the treatment group (200 cases) and the control group (187 cases). Patients in the treatment group took JC combined with reduction of 131I. The 131I dosage per gram of thyroid tissue was 50-80 microCi. They additionally took JC one week after taking 1311 for one consecutive month. Patients in the control group took 131 routinely as one disposable treatment. The 131I dosage per gram of thyroid tissue was 70-120 microCi, without using JC or other anti-thyroid drugs. All patients were reexamined after 24-month treatment. Whether hyperthyroidism was cured, incurred, or permanent was observed. Efficacies of thyroglobulin antibody (TGAb) and thyroid microsome antibody (TMAb) were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSCompared with the control group, the incurred ratio increased in the treatment group [3.2% (6/187) vs. 16.0% (32/200), P < 0.01], the incurred ratio of strong positive TGAb and TMAb patients increased [3.5% (2/57) vs. 27.1% (16/59), P < 0.01], the permanent hypothyroidism ratio decreased [21.1% (12/57) vs. 3.4% (2/59), P < 0.05 ].
CONCLUSIONJC combined with reduction of 1311 was superior in treating Graves hyperthyroidism induced permanent hypothyroidism than routine 1311 treatment, especially for strong positive TGAb and TMAb patients.

4. Advances in research on chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of Paris genus and prediction and analysis of quality markers
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2019;50(19):4838-4852
Paridis Rhizoma is a traditional Chinese medicine, mainly distributed in Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou and other areas of China. Because of its analgesic, hemostatic, anti-tumor, anti-oxidant, immune regulation and other functions, it has been widely used in medicine and health products. Therefore, the quality evaluation of Paridis Rhizoma has become an urgent restriction on the development and utilization, which becomes one of the problems to be solved. In this study, the chemical constituents and pharmacological activities of Paris plants were systematically sorted out, and the quality markers of Paris plants were predicted and analyzed based on the specificity of chemical constituents, the correlation between chemical constituents and pharmacodynamics, the traditional medicinal properties and the measurability of chemical constituents, which provides scientific basis for the quality evaluation of the genus Paris.
5. Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor targeted RNA interference inhibits growth of human lung adenocarcinoma cells
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;29(10):1153-1156
Objective: To investigate the inhibitory effects of RNA silencing via adenovirus-mediated vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) shRNA on proliferation of lung adenocarcinoma cells in vitro and in vivo. Methods: Ad-VEGFRshRNA adenovirus containing enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) gene and VEGFRshRNA was constructed and was used to infect A549 cells; fluorescent microscopy was used to observe the infection efficiency. Western blotting assay was used to examine the expression of VEGFR protein in A549 cells. MTT method was used to examine the cell viability and the cell growth curve was drawn. The inhibition of cell growth was examined by cell cycle and colony-forming test. Meanwhile, nude mice were transplanted with A549 cells to establish tumor-bearing model, and the long term growth of tumor was observed. Results: Western blotting revealed that the expression of VEGFR was obviously decreased in the RNA interference group. The cell growth curve indicated that the cell growth was obviously inhibited after RNA interference. Cell cycle and colony-forming test indicated that the tumor growth was obviously inhibited after RNA interference. In vivo study with nude mice also indicated that RNA interference obviously inhibited tumor growth. Conclusion: The constructed VEGFR-targeted shRNA can effectively inhibit VEGFR expression in A549 cells and can suppress the growth of A549 cells.

Type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1DM)is a chronic, immune-mediated disease characterised by the destruction of insulin-producing cells. The specific pathogenesis of T1DM has not been clarified. It is mainly believed that the occurrence of T1DM is caused by the joint action of genetic and environmental factors. The occurrence, development, treatment and prevention of T1DM are urgent problems to be solved.A number of studies have found that vitamin D is involved in the pathological process of many autoimmune diseases and is related to cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and other mechanisms.Vitamin D may play a key role in the pathological mechanism of T1DM.Here we review the relationship between the incidence, prevention and treatment of T1DM and vitamin D.

Objective To assess the efficacy of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) using real-time three-dimen?sional echocardiography (RT-3DE) and speckle tracking imaging (STI) in patients with heart failure. Methods Thirty-one patients with chronic heart failure were examined by RT-3DE and STI before CRT and 3, 6 months after CRT. The values of left ventricular end-diastolic volume (LVEDV), end-systolic volume (LVESV) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were measured. RT-3DE was used to evaluate the minimum regional volume for 16 segments (Tmsv-16SD) and the ratio of Tmsv16SD to R-R interval, and the maximum time difference (Tmsv-16Dif). STl was used to evaluate the ratios of standard deviation of the time to peak longitudinal radial and circumferential strain to R-R interval (Tls-16SD%, Trs-16SD%,Tcs-16SD%) from the beginning of Q wave of electrocardiography to the point minimal systolic volume of all 16 segments and the maximum time difference. Results The values of LVEDV and LVESV were smaller 3 and 6 months after CRT than those before CRT. The value of LVEF was significantly improved after CRT (P < 0.05). The values of Tmsv-16SD%, Tmsv-16Dif%, Tls-16SD%, Trs-16SD%, Tcs-16SD%and T-Dif%were gradually decreased after CRT (P<0.05). The values of Tmsv-16SD%, Tmsv-16Dif%,Trs-16SD%and Tcs-16SD%were negatively related with LVEF (r=-0.79,-0.82,-0.69 and-0.74(P<0.05). The better consistency was found between RT-3DE and STI methods(Kappa=0.77). Conclusion Re?al-time three-dimensional echocardiography and speckle tracking imaging can provide more accurate quantitative informa?tion of cardiac resynchronization therapy for assessment of treatment and prognosis in patients with heart failure.
