1.Role of nuclear factor-κB in brain ischemic preconditioning
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2010;18(11):865-871
Brain ischemic conditioning (BIP) can improve the tolerance to ischemic injury in the brain. Nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) is an important transcriptional regulatory factor. It presents in all types of cells in the nerous system. Studies have suggested that BIP may exert neuroprotective effects by mediating NF-κB through a series of cascade reactions. This may provide a new therapeutic strategy for BIP in the prevention and treatment of ischemic cerebrovascular disease in clinical practice.

Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(03):-
Objective To observe the effects of exercise training on the expression of glycogen synthase ki-nase-3 (GSK-3) in the skeletal muscles of rats with insulin resistance induced by a high-fat and high sucrose diet. Methods Thirty Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups: a control group, a model group and an exercise group. Rats in the model and exercise groups were fed with a high-fat and sucrose diet (20% sucrose, 10% lard, 2.5% cholesterol, 1% cholic acid) for 4 weeks, and then the rats in the exercise group were trained by swimming 5 d every week for 6 weeks. After treatment, the concentration of GSK-3 protein in their muscles was detected by Western blot analysis, while their weights, serum triglyceride and total cholesterol, and their concentrations of fasting plasma glucose and fasting plasma insulin were measured periodically and their insulin sensitivity index was calculated. Results Compared with the controls, the expression of GSK-3 in the skeletal muscles of the rats in the model group increased by 70. 20% (P

AIM: To investigate the effect of puerarin on expression of the glucogen synthase kinase-3 bate (GSK-3?) in adipocyte of rats with insulin resistance induced by diets. METHODS: 30 Wister rats were randomized into two groups: control group (n=10) and model group (n=20).Control group were fed with general diets, while model group were fed with the high fat diets to induce insulin resistance. After 4 weeks, the models have formed then were randomized into two groups: model group (n=10) and puerarin group (n=10). Puerarin group were treated with puerarin (100 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 , ip) for 6 weeks.GSK-3? protein was detected by Western-blot analysis. Body weight, serum triglyceride and cholesterol, fasting plasma glucose and serum insulin concentration were detected termly and the insulin sensitivity index was calculated. RESULTS: The model group showed hyperglycemia, hyperinsulinism, obviously obesity and the insulin resistance index (ISI) decrease by high fat diets, insulin resistance was induced by this way. Compared with model group, GSK-3? protein in adipocyte of puerarin group rats decreased (P
5.Experience of diagnosis of 56 cerebral aneurysms cases by 16-slice spiral CTA
China Medical Equipment 2015;(7):93-95,96
Objective:To evaluate the clinical value of 16-slice spiral CTA and methods of diagnosis of cerebral aneurysms. Methods: Fifty six cases of cerebral aneurysms with CTA image data were retrospectively analyzed from July 2012 to July 2014. Omnipaque (350 mgI/100 ml) as contrast agent was used in all cases with injection speed of 4.0 mL/s. The methods of VR, SSD, MIP, MPR, CPR and VE were involved in CTA images reconstruction and processing were implemented with workstation ADW4.2. The diagnosis value of cerebral aneurysms with different methods of vessel reconstruction was analyzed. Results: The location and the size of intracranial aneurysms could be clearly showed with 16-slice spiral CTA. The diagnosis time of methods VR and MIP was shortest and the mean time was 4.3 minutes and 5.1 minutes respectively. There was significant difference between the image and actual size in berry aneurysms with SSD method. Conclusion: The synthetic application of multimethod can improve the diagnostic value of 16-slice spiral CTA in cerebral aneurysms.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) accounts for approximately 2% of all malignancies. The incidence of RCC has increased by 2% per year for the past 65 years. Over the past two decades, with the widespread use of imaging methods, the frequency of incidental detection of RCC has increased. Surgery is an important therapeutic method for renal cell carcinoma. Originally, nephron-sparing surgery was indicated only for those treated with radical nephrectomy which would render the patients functionally anephric and requiring dialysis. These settings include RCC in a solitary kidney, RCC in one kidney with contralateral inadequate renal fuction, and bilateral synchronous RCC. However, nephron-sparing surgery has been used increasingly in patients with T_(1a) and T_(1b) renal tumors (i.e. up to 7 cm in the greatest dimension) and a normal contralateral kidney, with equivalent outcomes to radical nephrectomy. Compared with radical nephrectomy, nephron-sparing surgery can increase patient survival and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events. However, nephron-sparing surgery has not been widely used yet because most surgeons are confused of its safety, indication, resection range and complications.

Objective To explore the clinical feature and influencing factors of pneumonia in patients with lung cancer,in order to these patients might be timely diagnosed and treated correctly. Methods A series of 1495 cases of pneumonia in patients with lung cancer in recent 10 years were reviewed as their clinical characteristics, pathological cell types, imaging study, bacteriological monitoring, chemotherapy/radiotherapy, antibiotic treatment and prognosis. Results The infection rate of pneumonia in patients with lung cancer was 60.8%, most of them were occurred in patients treated after chemotherapy/radiotherapy, especially in patients being treated after glucocorticoid. The prognosis was poor. Conclusions The clinical situation of pneumonia in patients with lung cancer is not typical. The symptom of respiratory tract is not obvious. CT scan demonstrated obstructive pneumonia and atelectasis. Gram-negative bacteria were the mainly pathogen. The influencing factors are related to the smoking, chronic consumption, obstruction of bronchus, lower resistance after chemotherapy/radiotherapy and the basic diseases. The methods of treatment are also prelimilary discussed.
