In this study, multivariate statistical analysis was applied to characterize the flowability of different types of microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), and the visualization of R language was used to explore the intrinsic correlation on its performances. To verify the operability of multivariate statistical analysis, we compared the results of the conventional methods such as repose angle method, Hausner ratio method, Carr's index method and the parameter a of Kawakita equation to determine whether there are significant differences between the conventional ones and multivariate statistical analysis. Moreover, the fillibility and compressibility were characterized by parameters 1/b of Kawakita equation and the means of pressure-tensile strength and compressibility curve method, respectively. The data was analyzed through R language for visualizing the correlation among the performance parameters of MCC. The flowability of the series of microcrystalline cellulose PH (MCCPH) were superior to the series of microcrystalline cellulose WJ (MCCWJ), the compressibility of MCCPH-302 was optimum, and the flowability and fallibility of MCCPH-102 were better than others. The results of conventional methods were consistent with multivariate statistical analysis. The fillibility was positively correlated with flowability, both negatively correlated with compressibility by analyzing correlation coefficient diagram, which was statistically significant (P<0.01). It is reasonable that adopting multivariate statistical analysis to character the flowability of powders, which is more objective than the traditional approach. The correlation visualization of performance parameters of powders provides convenience for screening preparation material via the visualization of R language.

Objective To explore the influence of modified radical gastrectomy on glycometabolism in patients with gastric carcinoma and non-obese T2DM.Methods The retrospective study was carried out to analyze the changes of glycometabolism between preoperative and postoperative follow-up in 25 patients with gastric carcinoma and non-obese T2DM.The above parameters included fasting plasma glucose (FPG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose (2 h PBG),glycosylated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c),fasting insulin (FINS),homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance (HOMA-IR),fasting glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1),and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP).Results At the 6th and 12th month after operation, the related parameters such as FPG,2 h PBG,HbA1c,FINS and HOMA-IR were (7.54±1.44) mmo]/L and (7.17±1.35) mmol/L,(9.97±1.59)mmol/L and (9.47±1.23) mmol/L,(6.46±0.74)% and (6.31±0.97)%,(7.73±0.98) μIU/ml and (7.44±0.96) μIU/ml,1.10±0.15 and 1.04±0.14 respectively. The above indexes were significantly improved compared with those before operation (P<O.05).The levels of fasting GLP-1 at 6th and 12th month after operation were (2.27±0.25) pmol/ml and (2.33±0.27) pmol/ml respectively, and there was no significant change compared with those before operation (P>0.05).On the contrary, the levels of GIP at 6th and 12th month after operation are significantly decreased compared with that before operation, which were (7.23±1.33) pmol/ml and (6.40±1.20) pmol/ml respectively. Conclusion The modified radical gastrectomy can improve T2DM in patients with gastric carcinoma markedly, even curing some patients, which may be related to the decrease of fasting GIP after operation.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease with angiogenesis, inflammatory factor infiltration and joint destruction as the main pathological features. Angiogenesis promotes the development of RA and plays an important role in its pathogenesis. The hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2) signal transduction is a critical pathway to induce synovial angiogenesis. Targeting HIF-VEGF-Ang-2 signal transduction to inhibit synovial angiogenesis is a promising approach for RA treatment. This article reviews the role and mechanism of HIF-VEGF-Ang-2 signal transduction-mediated synovial angiogenesis in RA, in order to provide a new target and strategy for RA treatment.

As an effective prescription for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Huangqin Qingre Chubi capsule (HQC) is still blank in quality control. This study aims to explore quality markers (Q-markers) for HQC in the treatment of RA by integrating network pharmacology and pharmacokinetics. By constructing the visualization network of "pharmacodynamic ingredient-target-pathway", the potential Q-Marker of HQC treatment for RA was preliminatively predicted. A rat model of rheumatic heat obstruction syndrome collagene-induced arthritis (CIA) was established to elucidate the dynamic quantification law of pharmacodynamic components of HQC in the disease state of rats. To establish the inflammatory model of RA synovial fibroblasts (MH7A) induced by tumor necrosis factor-

Platelet microparticles (PMPs) are membrane particles derived from the platelet membrane that enter into the blood circulation. We sought to explore the therapeutic effects of Tao-Hong-Si-Wu Decoction (THSWD) on angiogenesis in a rat model of cerebral ischaemia-reperfusion (I/R). The protective effect of THSWD on I/R rats was observed morphologically by immunohistochemical expression of VEGF and CD34, along with immunofluorescence results of co-expression of BrdU and vWF. Then, PMPs from different groups of rats were extracted, and cytokine array analysis was used to screen for angiogenesis associated proteins. The results showed that THSWD can promote the expression of VEGF, CD34, BrdU and vWF. Cytokine array analysis revealed the changes in the expression of 29 related angiogenic proteins in the total protein of PMPs, which involved the Notch signalling pathway. Compared with model group, the expression levels of NICD and Hes-1 in the THSWD group were significantly increased. In the context of I/R, the angiogenesis-related proteins of PMPs are different. THSWD may involve the promotion of activation of the Notch signalling pathway to achieve therapeutic effects on cerebral ischaemia.
