Objective To investigate the dynamic images of traumatic penumbra(TP)in a rat model of traumatic brain injury (TBI)treated with AQP4-RNAi using multimodal MRI(MM-MRI)at 7.0 Tesla. Methods A rat model of TBI was established by the improved Feeney's method.MRI scans were performed including T2WI,DWI,ADC and SWI.The pathological changes in penumbra area were observed. All statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 21.0 software package. Results Over time rs-T2WI,rs-DWI and rs-SWI in TBI group were gradually increased. The r-ADC began to increase at one hour after trauma and reached the peak at 6 h. Then it began to fall and reached the bottom at 12 h.At each time point, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with RNA interference group, the rs-T2WI and rs-DWI in TBI group were decreased significantly at 6 h and 12 h(P<0.05),the r-ADC was not decreased significantly at 1 h(P>0.05)and decreased significantly at 6 h and 12 h(P<0.05).At each time point, there was no significant difference in rs-SWI(P>0.05).The area of mismatch between rs-SWI and rs-DWI was the most obvious at 6 h and 12 h,and the area of mismatch was decreased in size after treatment with AQP4-RNAi.There was no significant difference between TBI group and placebo group(P>0.05).In two groups, similar pathological changes were observed, which was depicted as vasogenic edema predominantly at 1 h and mixed edema at 6 h and 12 h. In RNA interference group, intracellular edema was markedly reduced at 6 h and 12 h,and the vasogenic edema was relieved to some extent at 12 h.Conclusion The treatment with APQ4-RNAi markedly alleviates cerebral edema.MM-MRI can reflect its pathological changes. The area of mismatch between SWI and DWI can prompt early detection of traumatic penumbra, which may provide useful information for clinical treatment.

BACKGROUND: Mis Seven implant has become more and more popular in oral implant restoration, and the clinical application in dentate-deficient patients remains to be studied. OBJECTIVE: To explore the short-term effects of the Mis Seven implant system on fixed restorations in dentition loss. METHODS: Nineteen patients undergoing fixed dental prostheses with the Mis Seven system due to dentition loss at the Department of Implants of the Stomatological Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University between April 2015 and December 2017 were included. Three patients had missing maxillary and maxillary dentition and unilateral maxillary teeth. Six patients were loss of maxillary dentition, and there were 10 cases of unilateral mandibular dentition missing. The total dental implants were 134. All cases were implanted and fixed for one stage. Clinical examination, alveolar bone and inter-implant image performance and post-load repair effect at 6, 12 and 24 months of follow-up were used as evaluation indicators. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) In 134 implants, failure was in 2 cases due to surrounding tissue infection. The success rate of before implant restoration was 98.51%, and the success rate after repair was 100%. (2) The stability of dentition of 19 patients was good, showing good occlusion. No mechanical complications or biological complications occurred. The stability of the restoration was 100%. (3) The vertical absorption of bone tissue around all implants was less than 0.2 mm at 6, 12, 24 months after repair, suggesting that the implant has no obvious edge bone resorption. The gingival tissues around all implants were healthy, and no unhealed inflammation or hyperkeratosis appeared. (4) These results imply that the Mis Seven system in the dentition defect fixation exhibits good short-term clinical results.

Objective:
To investigate the value of short tandem repeat (STR) genotyping in the diagnostic workup of molar and non-molar gestations with correlation of histological characteristics.
Methods:
Six hundred and fifty-six cases were selected based on clinically suspected hydropic abortion and/or molar pregnancy from July 2015 to September 2017 at Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. DNA was extracted from dissected chorionic villi and paired maternal endometrial FFPE tissue samples by Simplex OUP™ FFPE DNA Tissue Kit. STR genotyping was performed by PowerPlex 16 HS system.
Results:
DNA genotyping was informative in 649 of 656 cases, leading to identification of 215 hydatidiform mole gestations and 434 non-molar gestations. Most of non-molar gestations (375 cases, 86.4%) were diploid hydropic abortion. Various trisomy syndromes were found (53 cases, 12.2%), including trisomy 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 13, 16 and 21. Only 2(0.5%) digynic triploid gestations were detected. Moreover, 4 cases (0.9%) of uniparental disomies (homologous or heterologous) were found. There were 196 cases with histologic diagnostic suspicious of hydatidiform moles were accurate sub-classified. Among them, 59 cases hydatidiform moles were under-diagnosed as diploid hydropic abortions, and 28 cases diploid hydropic abortions were over-diagnosed as hydatidiform moles.Compared with partial moles(PHM), there were no specific histomorphological features between the various types of non-molar gestations and partial moles for definitive diagnostic separation. There was no significant difference in the expression of p57kip2 among PHM, trisomy and diploid hydropic abortions group (

ObjectiveTaking Shengxuebao as the model traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), this study aims to explore the methodologies and transfer patterns in the composition changes of TCM compound preparations from liquid to solid dosage forms. MethodBased on the previously established ultra-high performance liquid chromatography(UPLC) qualitative and quantitative methods for Shengxuebao, the fingerprint profiles of three preparations of Shengxuebao(homemade decoction, commercially available granules and mixtures) were established, and nineteen components were quantitatively analyzed. The similarities of fingerprint profiles among these three preparations were assessed using the Similarity Evaluation System for Chromatographic Fingerprint of TCM(2012 edition) and the total quantum statistical moment similarity method, respectively. The molecular connectivity index (MCI) and the average molar MCI of the chemical components in the three preparations were calculated. Seventy-two MCI values across 0-8 orders, including 8 subclasses, were calculated. The average molar MCI of 0-3 orders was used to study the "imprint template" structural characteristics and transfer patterns of the medicinal component groups. ResultThe similarities of the fingerprint profile of the decoction with those of the control, granules, and mixtures were 0.971, 0.888 and 0.799, respectively, indicating that the chemical composition of the granules and mixtures differed from that of the decoction, and that the 19 components were able to basically respond to the overall situation of the component group of Shengxuebao decoction. The total mass fractions of the detectable major components in Shengxuebao decoction, granules and mixtures was measured to be 5.498 6, 2.282 0, 1.416 6 mg·g-1, respectively. The average molar MCI of 0-3 orders showed a gradual decrease across the three preparations, with the trend of decoction>granules>mixtures, indicating subtle changes in the overall structural characteristics of the chemical components in the samples of the three preparations. ConclusionAmong the three formulations of Shengxuebao, the traditional decoction contained the highest variety and quantity of components and carried the most substantial amount of component information, with a decreasing order observed in the granules and mixtures. This study further validates that traditional decoction is a reliable and fundamental dosage form, providing a reference for the modernization of TCM dosage forms and the quality consistency evaluation of compound preparations.
