Objective To investigate the influence of class lecture on health care of sex and production to the sexual attitudes of college students. Methods 930 college students were assessed by The Sexual Attitudes Questionnaire(SAQ) before and after taking part in the lesson of health care of sex and production. Results The score of SAQ of all subjects was lower after class lecture (9.44 ± 2.67 ) than before ( 10.78 ± 2.65 ), there was significant difference(P＜ 0.05 ). Compared to before class lecture , the scores of male and female college students were decreased after education(P＜0. 05 ). There was apparent difference between clinical and nonclinical students before and after class lecture ( clinical (99.70 ± 2.50) vs ( 8.30 ± 1.70), P ＜ 0.05; nonclinical (11.71 ± 2.67)vs (10.81 ± 2.23), P＜0.05). Conclusion Sexual knowledge was increased, and the sexual attitudes was tended to maturity of the students. It' s nessary to promote opening lecture of Health Care of Sex and Production in college students.

To investigate the influence of Bufei Jianpi Granule (BJG) on immune function in mice. Spleen cellular proliferation and the activities of IL-1 and IL-2 in mice were observed. The differences of spleen cellular proliferation stimulating by Con A, the secretion of IL-2 from spleen cells and the secretion of IL-1 from celiac macrophage were significant among BJG group, the control group and the water-drinking group. [Conclusion] BJG can promote the function of cellular immune and the secretion of IL-1 and IL-2 from immune active cells in mice.

Objective To study the reason and the preventive measures that adverse effects of extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL) for renal stones during treatment.Methods From April 2015 to January 2016,165 patients who underwent ESWL treatment for renal stones were enrolled this retrospective study.All patients were in supine position.Direction of shockwave was by the path of preabdomen.The adverse effects during treatment were observed.The related factors were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis.Results There were 70 cases(42.4％) with pain,10 cases(6.1％) with cold sweat,8 cases (4.8％) with accelerated heart rate,5 cases (3.0％)with descent of heart rate,2 cases (1.2％) with nausea and vomiting.In the univariate Logistic regression analysis,four variables (BMI,history of ESWL treatment,stone location and energy) were found showing statistical significance.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the final significant related factors were BMI ＜ 24.0 kg/m2 (OR =4.155,CI 1.373-12.571),history of ESWL treatment (OR =0.163,CI 0.058-0.454),stone in pelvis(OR =123.051,CI 17.638-858.439),stone in middle calyceal (OR =169.171,CI 29.677-964.343),energy 86.3-94.7J (OR =0.094,CI 0.025-0.362).Conclusions Pain was the most common adverse effect during the treatment of ESWL.Stone location (pelvis and middle calyceal) was an independent risk factor,BMI ＜ 24.0 kg/m2 was one of the related risk factors.Both energy 86.3-94.7J and history of ESWL treatment were preventive factors.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of the transluminal radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) for malignant esophageal obstruction.Methods The retrospective cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted.The clinicopathological data of 52 patients with malignant esophageal obstruction who underwent transluminal RFCA at the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong Academy of Medical Science between March 2013 and March 2016 were collected.Patients received the bipolar radiofrequency ablation (RFA) under dualchannel endoscopy and X-ray.Observation indicators:(1) intra-and post-operative situations:operation situations,operation time,time of RFA,postoperative complications and duration of postoperative hospital stay,(2) follow-up.Follow-up using outpatient examination and telephone interview was performed to detect the subsequent treatment,survival of patients and recurrence of esophageal obstruction up to June 2016.Measurement data with normal distribution were represented as average (range).Results (1) Intra-and post-operative situations:52 patients underwent successful RFCA,without the occurrence of aspiration,asphyxia,hemorrhage and perforation.Esophageal obstruction was disappeared after treatment,X-ray findings showed a smooth esophagus.Average operation time and time of RFCA were respectively 58 minutes (range,20-71 minutes) and 23 minutes (range,8-42 minutes).Patients took liquid food at postoperative day 2 and normal food at postoperative day 3,without the sensations of esophageal obstruction.Of 52 patients,1 with postoperative hypotension returned to normal level through rehydration and increasing blood volume.Five patients with postoperative substernal pain were improved after 2-day symptomatic treatment.And other 46 patients didn't have postoperative complications.Average duration of postoperative hospital stay was 3 days (range,1-5 days).(2)Follow-up:52 patients were followed up for 3-24 months,with a median time of 13 months.Of 52 patients,17 underwent single intravascular interventional therapy,15 underwent intravascular interventional therapy combined with single systemic chemotherapy,14 underwent single systemic chemotherapy and other 6 didn't undergo antineoplastic therapy.During the follow-up,9 patients didn't have esophageal obstruction and 26 were complicated with esophageal obstruction again.Esophageal obstruction of 26 patients was respectively occurred at 3-8 months postoperatively,20 patients were improved after bipolar transluminal RFCA under dual-channel endoscopy and X-ray and 6 received parenteral nutrition support therapy due to extreme exhaustion.Seventeen patients died of cachexia caused by terminal malignant tumors.Conclusion Transluminal RFCA is safe and effective for malignant esophageal obstruction,with a good short-term outcome.

Objective To investigate interventional procedures and polygene feasibility for the treatment of liver carcinoma.Methods pCMV-p53 plasmid-liposome complex and concentrated TKCD retrovirus of supernatant liquid were prepared along with rabbit VX2 liver tumor models of 50 adult New Zealand rabbits.VX2 liver tumors about 2 cm in diameter from 45 adult rabbits were randomly divided into 5 groups of 9.Group 1 was the control group that used 0.9％ sodium chloride as a placebo.Group 2 had transcatheter arterial embolization with lipiodol as treatment.Group 3 was the lipiodol and p53 group.Group 4 was the lipiodol and TK/CD group.Group 5 was the lipiodol,p53,and TK/CD group.The microtubule(1.2f)was inserted from the femoral to hepatic artery,tumor supply arteries were demonstrated by angiograms,and the drug was slowly injected under x-ray.The VX2 liver tumors were examined with B-ultrasound and computed tomography for maximum diameter (a) and minimum diameter (b) before and 10 days after interventional therapy.Gross tumor volume (V=ab2/2) and tumor growth rate were calculated.All the adult rabbits were euthanized 8 weeks after interventional therapy (including natural deaths).Histopathological examination was taken and survival time was observed.Results The tumor volume among the 5 groups had no significant difference before interventional therapy (P＞0.05).Ten days after interventional therapy,analysis of the tumor volume for variance and the T-test were carried out.The results showed that each group compared to the control showed a significant difference in inhibiting cancer growth (P＜0.05).The lipiodol,p53,and TK/CD group showed the best effect.According to factorial statistic analysis (2x2),p53 or TK/CD combined with lipiodol therapy can control the tumor obviously,but no mutual synergism effect was found (P=0.793).Each treatment group showed a significant difference of prolonged survival time compared to the control group (P＜0.01).The multi-treatment or multi-gene group showed the best curative effects.Conclusions Interventional therapy can be the ideal path for administering medications for gene therapy.Transcatheter arterial embolization with lipiodol,wild-type p53 gene,TK/GCV,and CD/5-Fc applied in combination can control tumor growth and prolong survival time.

OBJECTIVETo study injury of liver and kidney among the workers exposed to terephthalic acid(TPA), ethylene glycol(EG) and(or) dowtherm A(DOW), and research for early biological monitoring indexes.

METHODSBy using the method of occupational epidemiology, an investigation of industrial hygiene in a chemical fibre corporation was carried out and the changes of the liver and kidney functions were analyzed among the workers who had been exposed to TPA, EG, DOW.

RESULTSThe values of serum gamma-glutamyl traspetidase(GGT) and total bile acid(TBA) in TPA + EG + DOW group men were (35.45 +/- 16.09) U/L, (10.29 +/- 6.76) mumol/L respectively and the values of serum alanine transaminase(ALT) and TBA in TPA + EG + DOW group women were(30.68 +/- 8.58) U/L, (9.53 +/- 6.63) mumol/L respectively, significantly higher than those in TPA, DOW and control groups(P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Compared with TPA, DOW and control groups, the values of urine N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase(NAG) and beta 2-2-microglobulim (beta 2-MG) in TPA + EG + DOW group of both men and women increased significantly(P < 0.05, P < 0.01), with(5.68 +/- 4.01) U/mmol Cr and (23.49 +/- 13.44) mg/mol Cr, and(6.68 +/- 4.68) U/mmol Cr and (22.80 +/- 13.00) mg/mol Cr, respectively. Analysis of regression indicated that both liver and renal injuries of the workers were evidently correlated with their exposure to TPA, EG and DOW after adjustment for the confounding factors such as sex, smoking, drinking, etc(P < 0.001).

CONCLUSIONBased on available knowledge, it is reasonable to assume that the joint actions should be considered on the injury of liver and kidney caused by TPA, EG and(or) DOW among the workers. Serum ALT, GGT, TBA, urine NAG and beta 2-MG should be suggested as biomarkers for liver and kidney damage.

Objective:To compare the differences in the results of 24-hour urine citric acid, oxalic acid, and phosphoric acid detection between thymol and concentrated hydrochloric acid preserved urine.Methods:Urine samples were collected from 50 patients with upper urinary tract stones who were admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from July 2023 to August 2023. There were 38 males and 12 females, with the age of (45.52 ± 13.68) years old. On the second day of admission, patients were required to empty their bladders in the morning and collect urine over a 24-hour period. The urine was evenly divided and stored in two sealed plastic containers. In one container, concentrated hydrochloric acid (15 ml, concentration of 6 mmol/L) was added as a preservative, forming the hydrochloric acid group. In the other container, 2 g of thymol was added as a preservative, forming the thymol group. The concentration of oxalic acid, citric acid, and phosphoric acid in urine were measured, and the measurement results were multiplied by the total amount of urine to obtain the final measurement results. The differences in the measurement results of citric acid, oxalic acid, and phosphoric acid between two groups were compared.Results:In the concentrated hydrochloric acid group, the median value of citric acid was 160.87(95.37, 245.61) mg/24h, the median value of oxalic acid was 33.09(26.32, 39.37) mg/24h, and the mean value of phosphoric acid was (731.06 ± 240.62) mg/24h. In the thymol group, the median value of citric acid was 340.40(166.56, 561.77) mg/24h, the median value of oxalic acid was 33.91(26.51, 44.56) mg/24h, and the mean value of phosphoric acid was (759.07 ± 273.23) mg/24h. Compared with the thymol group, the citric acid level in the concentrated hydrochloric acid group was significantly lower ( Z=4.31, P< 0.001), but there was no significant difference in oxalic acid ( Z=0.85, P=0.393) and phosphoric acid ( t=1.65, P=0.106) between the two groups. Conclusions:Compared with thymol, the results of 24 h urine citric acid with concentrated hydrochloric acid as preservative is lower, but there is no significant difference between oxalic acid and phosphoric acid.The use of thymol as a preservative may be more suitable than concentrated hydrochloric acid for the detection of citric acid, oxalic acid and phosphoric acid in 24-hour urine metabolism analysis.
