Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
In this study, cryopreservated platelets were transfused to 1560 patients. of them, 536 were patients with acute leukaemia, 285 with anemia, 253 with thrombocytopenia due to chemical or radicalized treat, 438 in perioperation, and 48 with DIC or hemorrhage of rupture esophagus varix. The storage time of cryopreserved platelets ranged from one week to thirteen months. Most of the cryopreserved platelets had not been washed before application and no obvious adverse-effects were observed except for garlic smell in patients' exhalation after transfusing cryopreserved platelets. The results showed that transfusion of cryopreserved platelets has a remarkable on effect hemostasis and can enhance the platelet count in peripheral blood. Compared with liquid-preserved platelets, cryopreserved platelets for clinic use have the following advantages:1) the potentiality of large stock, 2) much longer shelf life, 3) higher safety, 4) superior hemostasis effect, and 5) capacity to meet emergent massive clinic demand.
2.Advantageou functions of macrophage on tumor growth
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2004;0(02):-
Present studies have proved that tumor in-situ is infiltrated with plenty of macrophages (M?), M? may contribute up to or more than half of a tumor’s mass. It’s frustrated that as the main component of immune system, M? promote the tumor growth, and create a suitable microcircumstance to promote the progression of tumor as well. The furtherknowledge of the mechanism mentioned focusing on finding the new way to anti-tumor clinical research were reviewed.

Objective To explore the effect of α-phenyl-N-tert-butylinitrone (PBN) on expression of nerve growth factor (NGF) in serum and spinal cord tissue in rats after spinal cord injury (SCI). Methods 174 female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to following groups: normal control group (n=54), normal saline control group (NS group, n=60, intrathecally injected normal saline 15 μl), and PBN group (n=60, intrathecally injected PBN, 3 mg, 15 μl). The model was established with New York University blow device (150 kDyne, 1 s dwell time). PBN was intrathecally injected into the damaged areas 30 min after operation, then once a day for 7 days. The Basso-Beattie-Bresnahan (BBB) Locomotor Rating Scale was used to assess the rats 3 days and 1 day before, and 1 day, 5 days, 10 days, 15 days, 20 days,25 days, 30 days and 35 days after SCI. NGF in the injured spinal cord tissue and serum was measured 1 h, 12 h, 24 h, 48 h, 3 days, 7 days,14 days and 21 days after SCI. Results NGF increased in serum but not in spinal cord. The ratio of NGF/total protein in serum rose and peaked 48 h after SCI, and the ratio was higher in NS group (0.92%±0.02%) than in PBN group (0.77%±0.05%) (P=0.021). BBB scores increased from the 9th day, and PBN group improved better than NS group (P<0.01). Conclusion PBN could reduce the expression of NGF in the SCI rats, and promote the recovery of neurol function.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(07):-
Objective To compare the specificity, sensitivity, titers, and rapidity of four methods including papain technique, anti-globulin technique, polybrene test, and micro-column gel test for determination of IgG red blood cell antibodies. Methods Twelve kinds of IgG red blood cell antibodies such as anti-D, anti-E, anti-C, anti-c, anti-e, anti-Jk a, anti-Jk b, anti-Fy a, anti-Fy b, anti-k, anti-S, and anti-s were checked by the four methods. Results Seven kinds of IgG red blood cell antibodies including anti-D, anti-E, anti-C, anti-c, anti-e, anti-Jk a, and anti-Jk b were detected using papain technique (7/12). All of the 12 kinds of IgG antibodies were detected by anti-globulin technique (12/12). Eleven kinds of IgG red blood cell antibodies except anti-k were examined with polybrene test (11/12) and all the antibodies were also determinated by micro-column gel test (12/12). The titers of the antibodies determination suggested that papain technique was less sensitive than other three methods, while the micro-column gel test was more sensitive than other three methods in examination of all the antibodies. The lasting time of four techniques were: papain technique 45 min, anti-human globulin technique 60 min, polybrene test 5 min, and micro-column gel test 30 min. Conclusion Papain technique has some limitation in determination of IgG antibodies and anti-globulin technique is complicated because of long period incubation and multiple wash of red blood cells. Polybrene test is the most simple and convenient technique for determination of IgG antibodies. Micro-column gel test is the most sensitive method in determination of IgG antibodies.

Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(02):-
OBJECTIVE To compare two different procedures of blood donation in volunteer donors, which lead to different discard rates of blood, different donation reaction rates and the satisfaction of the donor agency,so as to seek the better procedure bringing less discard of blood and more convenience for the military donor agency and blood center. METHODS In group A,3 667 donors blood was collected before the tests and retests for transfusion transmitted diseases(TTD) were done. While in group B,4 185 donors were taken blood samples for pre-donation test. The blood collection was performed 4 hours later. RESULTS In group A,3 652 units of blood were collected,of which 69 units were discarded on account of positive results in test and retest.Meanwhile,in group B 3 718 units of blood were collected from the donors who passed the pre-donation test for TTD.As a result,34 units of blood were discarded because of the positive results in retest. The discard rates of blood were 1.89% and 0.91% while the donation reaction rates were 2.22% and 3.98%,respectively.in two procedures. The discard rates of blood in group A were higher than those in group B.But the donation reaction rate in group B was higher than that in group A. CONCLUSIONS The discard rate of blood in the procedure collecting before test is higher than that in the procedure testing before collection. But the donation reaction rate is low and the waiting period for donation is short in the former procedure, which is suitable for low TTD infections population of military agencies.

OBJECTIVE:
To analyze the clinical features of a Chinese pedigree affected with tuberculosis sclerosis and explore its molecular pathogenesis.
METHODS:
Clinical data of the proband and members of his pedigree were collected. Whole exome sequencing was carried out to detect variants of the TSC1 and TSC2 genes. Candidate variants was verified by Sanger sequencing and bioinformatic analysis.
RESULTS:
The proband and his mother, who also had mild features of tuberous sclerosis, were found to harbor a novel heterozygous c.4183C>T (p.Q1395X) variant of the TSC2 gene, which was absent in the 4 healthy relatives. Bioinformatic analysis suggested the variant to be likely pathogenic.
CONCLUSION
The heterozygous c.4183C>T (p.Q1395X) variant of the TSC2 gene probably underlay the disease in this pedigree. Above finding has expanded the spectrum of TSC2 gene variants. The more severe symptoms in the proband may be attributed to phenotypic heterogeneity of this disease.

Objective:To explore the effect of hand making combined with social skills training on the self-care ability and quality of life of patients with schizophrenia. Methods:According to random number table method, totally 120 patients with schizophrenia admitted to the Second People ′s Hospital of Chuzhou City, Anhui Province from January to December 2019 were divided into observation and control groups, which had 60 patients in each groups, 10 cases and 7 cases fell off respectively. The control group received antipsychotic medication and routine nursing, meanwhile the general recreational activities (circles, radio exercises, etc.) and physical therapy were also carried out in the department and rehabilitation physical therapy center. The observation group was given hand making and social skills training for 12 weeks on the basis of the control group. The self-care ability and quality of life of patients in the two groups were compared before intervention, 6 and 12 weeks after intervention. Results:Before intervention, there was no statistical significance in the scores of World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOL-BREF) and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) in 2 groups ( P>0.05). After 6 and 12 weeks of intervention, ADL scores in the observation group were (96.40±3.79) and (98.50±2.53) points, while those in the control group were (93.96±4.31) and (94.06±4.28) points. And the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( t values were 3.38, 6.36, P<0.05). However, after 6 weeks of intervention, there was no significant difference in WHOQOL-BREF scores between the two groups ( P>0.05); after 12 weeks of intervention, the scores of WHOQOL-BREF in the domains of G1(patients′ self-rated quality of life), G4(patients′ satisfaction with self-rated health status), physiology, psychology, social relations and environment in the observation group were (3.76±1.14), (3.86±1.03), (14.83±2.56), (15.04±3.07), (14.72±3.67) (14.55±3.22) points. The scores of the control group were (3.00±0.83), (3.34±0.90), (12.79±2.06), (12.70±2.45), (12.70±3.06) and (12.64±2.42) points. And the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( t values were from 2.73 to 4.47, P<0.01). Conclusions:Hand making combined with social skills training can improve the self-care ability and quality of life of patients with schizophrenia, and it is an effective means of treatment to help the patients with schizophrenia to achieve recovery, out of the hospital, back to society.
9.Research of full thickness macular hole secondary to retinal vein occlusion
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2023;39(9):783-786
Full thickness macular hole (FTMH) is a rare complication of retinal vein occlusion (RVO). These have different characteristics, and may associate with complications of RVO, such as cystoid macular edema and epiretinal membrane, and treatments like intravitreal injection. Although anatomical closure is often obtained with vitrectomy and inner limiting membrane peeling, visual improvement is often variable. Regularly follow-up, medical examination, and vitrectomy can improve the outcomes of patients. In the future, randomized controlled clinical trials with larger sample size are still needed to further explore the pathogenesis, clinical characteristics and treatment methods of FTMH after RVO, so as to improve the clinical prognosis of these patients.

Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine 2019;53(4):426-432
Increasing e-waste has become a major problem for global environment and public health. In the process of dismantling and recycling of disordered electronic waste, heavy metals such as lead and brominated flame retardants and organic substances are released into environmental media such as air, soil, dust and water, which is harmful to the health of local residents. Taking an e-waste dismantling area in Guangdong Province as an example, this paper reviews exposure levels of heavy metals and organic matters in e-waste recycling areas in China, as well as the health effects of local residents. Previous studies have found that e-waste recycling activities led to serious environmental pollution and high exposure levels of heavy metals and organic matters in local residents, which has a certain impact on the physiological functions of various human systems. The establishment of a centralized dismantling zone can effectively reduce the load level of various pollutants.
