BACKGROUND:Anterior cruciate ligament injury can trigger knee instability, knee osteoarthritis which decreases human beings’ life quality. Exploration on non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injury mechanism can prevent the occurrence of anterior cruciate ligament injury.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the mechanism of fatigue effect on non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injury and to introduce the progression of fatigue effect on non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injury in jump-landing activities.
METHODS:The author retrieved the PubMed database from 1988 to 2013 by computer. The key words were set as:ACL, landing, and fatigue. A total of 42 articles were included which related to biomechanics research on anterior cruciate ligament injury, fatigue landing and low-limb injury.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:In jump-landing activities, knee valgus, moment, knee joint rotation and smal er knee flexion are main biomechanics underlying non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injury. In addition, fatigue effect is another critical factor for non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injury. However, the cause-effect between fatigue effect and anterior cruciate ligament injury is not clearly investigated and summarized, especial y on fatigue level, fatigue induction and movement control. Introduction of fatigue induction is crucial for better understanding how fatigue effect results in anterior cruciate ligament injury. Thus, the quantification of fatigue level, fatigue models and landing ways wil provide new ideas for exploring biomechanical mechanism underlying anterior cruciate ligament injury in fatigue state, as wel as provide more information on intervention design and injury rehabilitation.

ObjectiveTo reveal the relation between rhBNP and vascular remodeling, the relation between rhBNP and levels of serum high sensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP).Methods20 male New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into two groups. All the rabbits were constructed to be models of angioplasty with BC.After injury, the control group were feed with standard forage, the rhBNP group received standard forage plus sibeutaneous rhBNP [0.1mmg/(kg · day),20 days].The rabbits were killed 4weeks after initial injury. The injured segments were dissected free from arteria iliaca externa, processed for histological and morphological study by TD 2000 analysis system of pathology image. The data of vascular remodeling was determined. The levels of hs-CRP were measured at the beginning and the end of the experiment.ResultsThere was significant difference in AUIEM and AUEEM[ (643.2±134.06) μm2 vs (493.7±139.32) μm2 ; (1495.1±204.98)μm2 vs (1265.9±232.56)μm2,P < 0.05 ],extremely significant difference in residual cavity areas and ratios of stenosis[ (519.1±93.47) μm2 vs (308.6±86.50) μm2;(18.68±7.72) μm2 vs (38.04±8.32) μm2,P < 0.01 ].There was no significant difference between the areas of media (P> 0.05).rhBNP reduced the levels of hs-CRP on the 28th day.ConclusionsrhBNP can benefit vascular remodeling after angioplasty which might be through its anti -inflammatory action.

Objective To explore changes of brain function among patients with partial epilepsy in resting state by using the blood oxygenation level dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) techniques. Methods fMRI scanning was performed in resting state among 60 patients with partial epilepsy and 60 gender, age and educational levels matched normal controls. The functional connectivity analysis was applied to calculate the default mode network ( DMN ) functional connectivity in resting-state fMRI.SPM5 was used to analyze differences in functional connectivity between the two groups( P <0.001,cluster >50).Results Left precuneus and adjacent posterior cingulate cortex ( Pcu/PCC),angular gyrus, and cingulate gyrus were involved in the DMN of epileptic patients.By contrast, the DMN of controls included left Pcu/PCC,right angular gyrus, bilateral medial frontal lobe and temporal lobe.Compared with normal controls, patients with partial epilepsy showed a significantly decrease in functional connectivity of DMN region such as left inferior parietal lobule, supramarginal gyrus, parahippocampa gyrus and superior temporal gyrus, and bilateral uncus, while no regions were found increased functional connectivity in patients group. Conclusions Patients with partial epilepsy show abnormal changes in functional connectivity of DMN in resting state by fMR],which may associate with the potential pathophysiological mechanisms of epilepsy. The findings demonstrate that the resting-state fMRI might detect the extensive changes of brain function in partial epilepsy with negative results of conventional MRI,suggestive of fMRI as an effective and non-invasive method to explore brain function in epilepsy.

20, or the grade of difference is 1 or above), while no difference of bilateral enhancement was found in 1 case. Abnormal enhancement of ganglion geniculi (4/4) and labyrinthine segment (3/4) was relatively frequent, abnormal enhancement of distal part of internal auditory segment, tympanic segment, and mastoid segment was seen in 2 cases, respectively. Conclusion MRI doesn't have diagnostic value unless the enhancement of segments of the affected facial nerve side is more evident than the unaffected side for unilateral cases. Labyrinthine segment and ganglion geniculi are more susceptible to Ramsay Hunt syndrome. Gd-DTPA enhanced MRI can demonstrate segmental lesions of facial nerves objectively, thus it can be helpful in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome. The relationship between MRI findings and clinical representation still needs further study.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the incidence and related risk factors of female stress urinary incontinence(SUI) in a county of Chengdu. Methods The women were interviewed with questionnaires, which were designed to the modified standard of the Advisory Committee of Urinary Incontinence of Asia-pacific Region. Results The total number of the women investigated was 563,while the number of the valid questionnaires was 512,with the efficient rate 98.5%.Of these women,46.1%(236/512) had urinary incontinence,21.9%(112/512) had simplex SUI,4.7%(24/512) had simplex urgent urinary incontinence and 19.5%(100/512) had complex urinary incontinence. The incidence of SUI(simplex SUI plus complex urinary incontinence) was 41.4%(212/512).The incidence of SUI was associated with factors such as age, pregnancies, drinking and education level, and the severity was associated with age, body mass index and education level. Conclusion The incidence of SUI in this county of Chengdu is relatively higher.Heath education is very important for the female health.

Objective To explore the influence of candesartan (an angiotensin II receptor 1 antagonist,AT1R) in radioresistance of human nasopharyngeal carcinoma CNE1 cells. Methods Cell growth of CNE1 with or without candesartan treatment was measured in vitro by MTT method;radiosensitivity of CNE1 with or without candesartan treatment was tested under normoxic or hypoxic conditions by clone formation assay. The expression of hypoxia-induced factor 1α(HIF-1α)in CNE1 cells was analysed by western blotting. Results Candesartan did not significantly inhibit the growth of CNE 1 cells in both normoxic and hypoxic conditions.Candesartan also did not influence the radiosensitivity of CNE1 cells in normoxic condition;however,it significantly increased the radiosensitivity of CNE1 cells in hypoxic condition. The expression of hypoxia-induced factor 1 α (HIF-1 α)in hypoxic CNE1 cells was significantly inhibited by candesartan treatment. Conclusion Candesartan does not significantly influence the proliferation of CNE1 cells in both normoxic and bypoxic conditions but significantly enhances the radiosensitivity of hypoxic CNE1 cells,in which the mechanisn may be involved in its inhibiting HIF1α expression in hypoxic CNE1 cells.
