1.The relationship between acute kidney injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome and pathogenesis
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2021;28(4):337-340
Acute kidney injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome are the most common organ failure in intensive care unit with high mortality. Both lung and kidney are involved in maintaining acid-base balance in the body, and both organs contain a large vascular network, which is the primary target organ for distant organ effects in the failure of each other. This article reviewed the possible pathogenesis of lung-kidney cross-talk in renal injury or acute respiratory distress syndrome, in order to deepen the understanding of both diseases and improve the prognosis.

Objective To evaluate the clinical results of late course accelerated hyperfractionation(LCAF) radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) patients . Methods From October 1995 to September 1996, 136 NPC patients were divided into conventional fractionation(CF) and LCAF radiotherapy groups.Seventy patients in CF group received conventional radiotherapy :2.0 Gy/f,5 fractions a week to a total dose of 70 Gy in 47 49 days .Sixty six patients in LCAF group were treated with the same fractionation as CF group untill the dose of 36 40 Gy ,and then followed by LCAF radiotherapy :1.35 Gy/f ,twice daily with 6 hour interval between the two fractions,to the total dose of 75.1 76.5 Gy in 45 47 day .Results The complete response rate in the nasopharynx was 97% in the LCAF group and 90% in the CF group after 3 months of radiotherapy. The 1 ,3 ,and 5 year local control rates were 97.0%, 95.4%,89.9% in the LCAF group and 92.8%,77.1%,70.1% in the CF group ,with the difference between the two groups significant (P0.05 ),without finding any significant difference in acute mucusitis or late complications between these two groups. Conclusions The local control rate of NPC treated by LCAF radiotherapy is superior to CF. However there is no significant difference in the survival rates between the two groups .LCAF radiotherapy is well tolerated and not increase the toxicity.

Objective To study the pollution of organic components in landfill leachates which produced from industrial city-Z and their cytogenetic toxicity. Methods The landfill leachates and groundwater samples collected from an industrial city-Z were analyzed by GC-MS and determined by micronucleus test of the root-tip cells of Vicia faba. The organic extracts of the landfill leachates samples were also determined by micronucleus test of early spermatids of mice exposed to organic extracts to be tested via peritoneal injection. Results Benzene, phenol, B(a)P were found in this two samples. Significantly higher levels of micronucleus rates of the root-tip cells of Vicia faba were observed in the original landfill leachates and diluted samples(1∶10,1∶2)compared with those of the negative samples(P

Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2014;30(12):1283-1286
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of endoscopic variceal ligation versus pericardial devascularization in the treatment of portal hypertension. Methods The clinical data of 101 cirrhotic patients with gastroesophageal varices and variceal hemorrhage from January 2010 to January 2012 were analyzed.Fifty-three patients received endoscopic variceal ligation, and forty-eight patients received pericardial devascularization.Postoperative changes in liver function and hypersplenism were compared between the two groups. The rate of rehaemorrhagia and incidence of postoperative complications after surgery were compared as well.Continuous data were expressed as mean ±SD,and categori-cal data were expressed as number of cases or percentage.Comparison of continuous data between the two groups was made by independent-samples t test, and comparison of categorical data was made by chi-square test. Results After surgery, the variceal ligation group showed no significant changes in liver reserve function, while the albumin level was significantly decreased in the pericardial devascularization group (t=2.512,P<0.05).There were no significant changes in the counts of white blood cells and platelets in the endoscopic variceal ligation group after surgery (P>0.05),but significant increases in the counts of white blood cells and platelets were detected in the pericardial devascular-ization group (P<0.05).The rates of postoperative haemorrhage in the two groups were:3 months,7.5%vs 6.2%(χ2 =0.066,P>0.05), 6 months,7.5%vs 8.3%(χ2 =0.021,P>0.05),and 1 year,9.4%vs 8.3%(χ2 =0.038,P>0.05).The incidence rates of postopera-tive complications in the two groups were 24.5%and 50%,respectively (χ2 =7.040,P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with pericardial devascularization, endoscopic variceal ligation causes fewer microlesions, preserves liver function, and leads to a lower incidence of postopera-tive complications. However,if hypersplenism is observed in the cirrhotic patients with gastroesophageal varices and variceal hemorrhage,peri-cardial devascularization can be used to control the hypersplenism and prevent esophageal hemorrhage.

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(05):-
Effect of opsonized zpoosan on polymorphonuclear leukocyte (PMN)were studied by chemilundnescence (CL)and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)assays. Results showed that different concentrations of Physalin B(PhB) presented a dose-dependent inhibitive effect on CL and H2O2 production of activated PMN. It suggested that the anti-inflammatory action of PhB may be related to the inhibition of production and release of oxygen free radical by PMN.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 1995;0(04):-
Objective:To study the role of tetrodotoxin-resistant(TTX-R)human sodium channel of hNa v1.8 mRNA in trigeminal neuralgia (TN). Methods:The samples of affected trigeminal division(inferior alveolar nerve) and non-affected division(lingual nerve) were surgically obtained from six idiopathic TN patients to whom the drug therapy was not effective. The expression of hNa v1.8 mRNA was assessed by semi-quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) with ?-actin as an internal control. A sample of great auricular nerve (from a patient who had to accept the combined radical neck dissection with glossectomy and hemimandibulectomy) and a sample of infraorbital nerve (from a patient who had to accept subtotal resection of maxilla) were used as the negative controls. Resoults:The relative amount of hNa v1.8 mRNA in the affected trigeminal divisions(1.233?0.324) was higher than that in the non-affected divisions(1.018?0.249), t=3.919,P=0.011. Conclusion:The higher expression of hNa v1.8 mRNA in the affected nerves of TN patients may play an important role in TN.

The Journal of Practical Medicine 2016;32(6):938-940
Objective The absorbable haemostatic membrane was used to stop bleeding during posterior spinal surgery so as to investigate the therapeutic effect and the security of the absorbable haemostatic membrane. Methods Ninety-four patients were enrolled into the experimental group and the control group. In the experimental group , the decompression wound is handled by using the regular absorbable haemostatic membrane to stop bleeding. In the control group , the conventional surgical methods , such as coagulation , brain cotton and other methods were used to stop bleeding. After the operations , patients in two groups were given indwelling vacuum drainage tube. The post operation vacuum pipe drainage , the drainage tube removing time , the incidence of postoperative complications after removing drainage tubes , the reoperation number , vital signs after 24 hour (temperature, respiration, pulse, blood pressure), and laboratory tests (blood count, coagulation function parameters) were determined and compared between two groups. Results Both the vacuum drainage at 24 hours post operation and the total vacuum drainage post operation were significantly reduced in the experimental group(P < 0.05, respectively). No significant differences in the coagulation function parameters were found between both two groups. Conclusion The absorbable haemostatic membrane may be applicable for spinal surgery.
