Objective A retrospective study was conducted to evaluate the clinical significance of Video EEG monitoring in the diagnosis of epilepsy and other paroxysmal events Methods Video EEG monitoring under the state of awaking and sleeping and evoked tests were performed continuously in 216 patients with epilepsy and other paroxysmal events Results The characteristic events were captured in 130(60%) of the 216 patients And out of the 130 patients, 53 had clinical events accompanying epileptiform discharge 73 patients had no epileptiform discharge in both ictal and interictal period Seizure types were defined in 80%of 80 patients with epileptiform discharge, and classification was different from the original 42% of the 64 patients Conclusions Video EEG can record much more epileptiform discharge than routine EEG It should be an effective method in both diagnosis and classification of epilepsy

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Chuankezhi acupoint injection combined with nursing health care education for treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at stable stage complicated with spleen kidney deficiency syndrome.Methods A prospective study was conducted. 118 patients with stable COPD and spleen kidney yang deficiency syndrome admitted to Hangzhou Third People's Hospital and Zhejiang Xinhua Hospital from February to April 2014 were enrolled, and they were divided into an experimental group (60 cases) and a control group (58 cases) according to the random number table. Both groups were given conventional treatment [including oxygen therapy, bronchodilators, corticosteroids, rehabilitation therapy in accord with the Global Initiative COPD (GOLD)]. Simultaneously, in the experimental group, Chuankezhi acupoint injection was additionally given, once daily for 12 weeks, and appropriate corresponding health education was mentioned. The lung function, quality of life and prognoses of the patients were regularly followed up for 9 months and compared between the two groups.Results After 12 weeks, one second forced expiratory volume (FEV1), FEV1/forced vital capacity (FVC) and maximum voluntary ventilation (MVV) per minute in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group [FEV1 (L): 1.57±0.42 vs. 1.35±0.35, FEV1/FVC: (58.62±4.56)% vs. (50.36±4.35)%, MVV (L/min): 60.62±7.56 vs. 56.95±6.33, allP < 0.05]. The quality of life evaluation form for COPD (QLICD-COPD) was used to evaluate the physical function, psychological function, social function and specific modules scores, showing that the above items in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group (total score: 74.69±8.92 vs. 68.62±8.95, physical function score: 74.16±8.55 vs. 66.31±7.15, mental function score: 78.69±9.79 vs. 72.64±8.45, social function score: 75.45±6.75 vs. 70.36±6.12, specific modules score: 67.52±6.33 vs. 61.36±6.17, allP < 0.05); Barthel index score was also significantly higher than that in the control group (75.41±9.24 vs. 68.43±7.95,P < 0.05). Within 9 months of follow-up, the incidence of acute exacerbation of COPD in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group [5.00% (3/60) vs. 17.24% (10/58),P < 0.05]. The re-admission rate was also significantly less in patients in experimental group compared with that of control group [1.67% (1/60) vs. 12.07% (7/58),P < 0.05]. Conclusion Chuankezhi acupoint injection with health education for treatment of patients with COPD at stable stage and spleen kidney yang deficiency syndrome has good clinical efficacy, worthy to be applied more widely.

Objective · To prepare recombinant human TIGIT protein in E.coli and characterize its ability in binding Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn). Methods · The gene of immunomodulatory protein of human TIGIT was amplified and cloned into pGEX4T2, and recombinant plasmid was transformed into E.coli BL21 (DE3) for GST-TIGIT fusion proteins were purified by the GST affinity chromatography and the interaction between GST-TIGIT fusion protein and Fn was tested by a pulldown assay. Results · Recombinant GST-TIGIT fusion protein expressed successfully in E.coli and was purified to homogeneity by GST affinity column. This protein could specifically bind to Fn, but not Lactobacillus acidophilus. Conclusion · High purify and activity of human GST-TIGIT fusion protein can be achieved by the prokaryotic expression system, and the adhesion between this protein and Fn has been preliminarily explored, which provides basis for further characterize interaction between them.

Objective To explore the method of increasing the mastering rate of health knowledge of patients and effective rate of health education by nurses on the premise of shortened average length of hos-pital stay.Methods 316 patients were divided into group i (96 cases),group ii (117 cases) and group iii (103 cases).Patients in group i had no pre hospital education.Patients in group ii accepted quasicollective education on hospitalization notices.Patients in group iii accepted quasi-collective education on hospitalization notices and some general peri-operative knowledge.The mastering rate of knowledge and time cost for health education were compared between three groups.Results Compared to group i,group ii and group iii got higher mastering rate in 8 items of hospitalization notices.No difference was seen in acknowledge of general peri-operative knowledge.The education of hospitalization notices and total time was shortened.The difference between group ii and group iii was not positive.Conclusions Taking quasi-collective education on hospitalization notices improves patients' mastering level of hospitalization notices and nurses' education efficiency.

Objective To explore disinfection efficacy of anerdian using swab and spray disinfection methods.Methods Hands of 30 subjects were randomly divided into the swab group and the spray group.The samples of before and after disinfection in each group were collected separately and observed their disinfection effect.Results The number of bacteria showed no significant difference between the two groups.The passing rate of disinfection reached 100％.The time of disinfection in the spray group was (2.58±0.32)s,significantly less than that in the swab group,(12.26±1.48)s,however,the drying time in the spray group was (42.37±1.79)s,significant longer than that in the swab group,(26.24±1.46)s.A subject hand disinfection used 0.5ml 0.2％ anerdian in the spray group,and 0.75ml 0.2％ anerdian and two cotton buds was used in the swab group.Conclusions There is identical disinfection efficacy between spray and swab methods.Spray disinfection method has short operating time,less use of disinfectant without using cotton buds,it is able to replace swab disinfection and will play an important role to reduce medical waste and health care costs.

Objective To observe and investigate the efficacy and safety of combining with intrathecal injection of vancomycin and dexamethasone based on intravenous meropenem for treating refractory purulent meningitis in children.Methods Ninety children cases of refractory purulent meningitis from June 2014 to March 2015 were randomized into the observation group (45 cases) and control group (45 cases) according to the random number table method.The control group was given intravenous meropenem therapy,on this basis the observation group was added with intrathecal injection of vancomycin and dexamethasone.The changes of serum inflammatory markers and clinical efficacies after 7 d treatment were compared between the two groups,and the incidence rate of sequelae in the two groups were recorded after 3-months follow up.Results The descend ranges of TNF-a,CRP and PCT after 7 d treatment in the observation group were (87.3±21.8)pg/mL,(47.9±10.7)mg/L and (348.9J67.3)pg/mL,which were significantly higher than (61.5±18.5)pg/mL,(33.0± 7.9)mg/L,(263.7 ± 61.5)pg/mL in the control group(P＜0.05).There was statistically significant difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups (Z=2.086,P=0.037),the total effective rate in the observation group was 93.3 ％,which was higher than 82.2 ％ in the control group (x2 =2.589,P =0.108);the average treatment duration in the observation group was(12.8 ± 3.9)d,which was significantly less than (16.7 ± 4.7)d in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(t=4.216,P＜0.01).There were no statistically significant differences in the incidence rate of adverse drug reactions and sequelae between the two groups (P＞0.05).Conclusion With intrathecal injection of vancomycin and dexamethasone based on intravenous meropenem therapy for treating purulent meningitis,can further inhibit the inflammatory reaction,and increases clinical efficacy without significantly increasing adverse drug reactions.

In this study ,we aimed to understand the sequence characteristics ,transmembrane structures ,line B cell epitopes present in the OMP18 from Campylobacter jejuni ,and provide candidate antigens for the antibody detection and vac-cine development .NCBI/Blast ,TMHMM Server V2 and DNA Star softwares were used for the OMP18 sequence analysis . Based on the ELISA ,the whole bacterial antibody IgG of Campylobacter jejuni was used for the identification of the predicted line B cell epitopes .The OMP18 gene was found conserved in different Campylobacter jejuni strains .The OMP18 was predic-ted to be located on the outer surface of the bacteria .And three line B cell epitopes were determined to be present in the OMP18 protein .As a conclusion ,the OMP18 protein was confirmed to be an important outer membrane protein ;three line B cell epitopes were identified in the OMP18 ,which could be further used for Campylobacter jejuni antibody detection and vaccine development .

ObjectiveTo investigate the change in brain functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI)during noxious electric stimu lation of forepaw and tail in rats.MethodsForty-eight healthy SD rats of both sexes weighing 300-450 g which responded sensitively to electrical stimulation as shown by Y-maze were randomly divided into 2 groups ( n =24 each) receiving nociceptive electric stimulation of left forepaw (group LF) and tail (group T) respectively.The animals were anesthetized with intraperitoneal 10％ chloral hydrate 250-300 mg/kg.Brain fMRI was performed at 30 min after disappearance of righting reflex in both groups when electric stimulations were delivered intermittently to forepaw or tail.The images were analyzed with SPM2 software.ResultsPrimary and secondary somatosensory cortex,posterior cingutate cortex,amygdaloid nucleus and ventral posterolateral thalamic nucleus were activated in group T.Right accumbens nucleus,right primary somatosensory cortex,right ventral posterolateral thalamic nucleus and right posterior cingutate cortex were activated in group LF.ConclusionDifferent brain areas are activated by noxious electric stimulation of different parts of body as shown by brain fMRI.

Objective To study the stability of NRT threshold and the correlation between NRT threshold and the value of behavior T ,C in order to instruct mapping in infant cochlear implant ,and to study whether the elic‐itation of NRT waveform can be applied to determine the effects of rehabilitation .Methods There were 159 cases with complete information in data in this study .150 out of the 159 cases coincided with the study requirements of the changes and correlation .We had collected the NRT thresholds of the electrodes of No .1 ,6 ,11 ,16 ,22 in switch-on ,one month after switched -on ,half a year and one year after switched -on .The analysis of variance method was adopted to compare the threshold changes of each electrode in different stages .We had collected the values of behavior T ,C in one year after switched -on .Pearson regression analysis was used to compare the correlation be‐tween NRT threshold in switch -on and this value of behavior T ,C .We applied MAIS assessment scale to make a questionnaire for all 159 patients during the follow -up at one year after switched -on .We had gathered the scores in three aspects ,the average score in questionnaire and the average hearing threshold of every child .All children were divided into four groups according to whether the elicitation of NRT waveform during - operation ,post-op‐eration .Results Regarding the NRT threshold ,there was no significant difference in the pairwise comparison of four time points(P>0 .05) .There was positive correlation between NRT threshold and behavior T ,C(P<0 .01) , but the correlation was wake .The group with no waveform on the during -operation and post -operation had sig‐nificant differences with the other groups in all scores and average hearing threshold (p<0 .01) .And there was no statistical significance among the other three groups (P> 0 .05) .Conclusion The NRT threshold remains steady from switched -on .A positive correlation exists between NRT threshold and the actual T ,C value .The NRT threshold can be used to estimate the T ,C value .But the accuracy of the measured value is less than the behavior method .We still need to use behavior method to measure as soon as possible .The NRT waveform appearance on the post-operation is more significant than that on the during -operation to prognosis of rehabilitation .

OBJECTIVE: This article summarizes the matters warranting consideration in adult cochlear implants before and after operation with different deafness causes and investigates the impact of etiological variables that affect hearing and speech ability rehabilitation after cochlear implantation. METHOD: We retrospectively reviewed the preoperative data of 30 adults who have received cochlear implantation, switch on, and periodical post operative mapping. 'Nijmegen Cochlear Implant Questionnaire' was used for every patient during follow-up and test their hearing thresholds at one year after switched-on. The average score of every patient in the six aspects of questionnaire, along with the average hearing threshold, has been gathered. RESULT: The average hearing threshold of every patient is lower than 35 dBHL. The average score of 28 patients is more than or equal to 75 in the basic sound perception, advanced sound perception as well as self-esteem. The average score of 26 patients is more than or equal to 75 in capacity for action. Besides, as for sociability and speech ability, the average score of 22 patients is more than or equal to 75. CONCLUSION Auditory perception can be greatly improved regardless of deafness causes, on the premise that appropriate candidate is selected. The primary disease should be brought under control before and after the operation. The influence of various causes to the language ability rehabilitation largely depends on the development of the language center at deafness onset. Self-esteem and social identity can be significantly enhanced after cochlear implantation in adult patients, particularly those with acquired deafness.
