Objective To explore the value of improved elasticity scores in differentiating malignant and benign breast lesions. Methods A prospective study was done in 394 patients with 508 breast lesions confirmed by pathology and the elastographic images of the lesions were evaluated by using old and improved elasticity scores respectively. Results The elastographic images of the lesions could be evaluated and classified in all patients by improved elasticity scores but could not be evaluated and classified in 82 lesions by old elasticity scores. The accuracy of ultrasonic elastography for diagnosing benign and malignant breast lesions was 88.8% and 78.1%, respectively by old elasticity scores and improved elasticity scores. Conclusions The elastographic images of breast lesions were accurately evaluated by using improved elasticity scores, and the use of improved elasticity scores is helpful to reduce the biopsy which is not necessary.

Objective To investigate the value of ultrasonic elastography(UE) in diagnosing breast small masses (diameter≤10 mm). Methods The static sonograms of conventional ultrasound(US) and UE of the 274 breast small lesions which pathologically proved were reviewed. Images were assigned according to the B1-RADS criteria for US. The elastographic images were evaluated using improved 5-scoring system.Pathology was followed up as diagnostic criteria. The diagnostic performance of the 2 methods was evaluated with receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC). Results The areas under the ROC curve of the two modalities were 0. 891 (UE) and 0.742 (BI-RADS), respectively. The difference between them was significant. Conclusions UE is helpful in differentiating between malignant and benign breast small lesions.

Objective To observe the apoptosis of Th1 and Th2 cells in C57BL/6 mice chronically infected with Schistosoma japonicum. Methods The apoptotic Th1 and Th2 cells in spleen and lymph node from C57BL/6 mice infected with Schistosoma japonicum for 13 weeks were examined by three-color and indirect flow cytometery with staining surface molecule and intracellular cytokines. Results Compared with the normal mice, the proportion of apoptotic Th1 and Th2 cells of 13-week post-infection was significantly high, and the apoptotic Th1 cells increased more than apoptotic Th2 cells in the infected C57BL/6 mice, and the Th1 cells were more susceptible to apoptosis than Th2 cells. Conclusions Unequal susceptibility to apoptosis in Th1 and Th2 cells may be one of the reasons leading to Th2 polarization on mice chronically infected with Schistosoma japonicum, which provides the new proof of Th polarization.

Aim To isolate, purify, and chemically characterize a polysaccharide showing inhibition of the six-?-helix bundle formation of HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein gp41 from cultured broth of a streptomyces sp.strain. Methods Ethanol was used to precipitate polysaccharides and macromolecules from the broth.Proteins in the precipitate were removed by sevage method.Purification was carried out by DEAE-Cellulose and sephadex G-25 column chromatography. The chemical structure of the polysaccharide was determined with the combined application of HPLC,UV,IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy, and the methods of periodate oxidation and Smith degradation, etc. Activity of anti-HIV-1 ~gp41 six-?-helix bundle formation was assayed withsandwich ELISA method. Results The purified polysaccharide, designated as SMP for Streptomyces polysaccharide,is neutral with a molecular weight of approximately 4855 Daltons. Sugar analysis showed SMP contains glucose and fructose residues in an approximate molar ratio of 22∶1 (10.96 to 0.48). The glycosidic linkages were estimated to be (1→4)-?-D-pyranoside as its main chain, and 1→6 linkage was attached to the main chain. Activity analysis revealed SMP markedly inhibited the six-?-helix bundle formation of HIV-1 glycoprotein gp41 and the IC_~50 was (145.48?7.25) mg?L~-1 .Conclusion Streptomyces polysaccharide SMP showing inhibition of the six-?-helix bundle formation of HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein gp41 was isolated and purified.

Objective:To describe the current situation in the nursing practice and their turnover intention in township health centers, and to analyze the changing potential influence in the nursing practice scope and workloads on their intention to leave those health centers. Methods:By means of a questionnaire, we conducted a survey on 167 nurses and interviewed 44 of them, all from 45 township hospitals within three provinces in China. Results:Since the healthcare system reform, the nursing workload in the township health centers significantly increased. 62% of the re-spondents considered their workload as heavy. Typically, the nursing work accounted for about 60% and the public health service work accounted for only 21% of the working hours. About 30% of the respondents were intended to leave their current job. The participating public health service was associated with intention to leave the job after con-trolling the province, workload, marital status, formal position, educational level and length of nursing service (P<0. 05). Conclusions:Since the healthcare system reform, the nursing practice scope in township health centers has been expanded and the workload increased considerably. But so far, expanding the scope of the nursing work may have potentials in reducing the intention of nurses to leave their current positions.

Objective To study the effects of cluster nursing intervention on dysuria in hospitalized patients after renal biopsy. Methods A total of 106 hospitalized patients undergoing renal biopsy during April. 2016 to September. 2016 were divided into control group (50 cases) and experimental group (56 cases) by random number table method. The control group were implemented with traditional methods of care and the experimental group were implemented with cluster nursing intervention. The incidence of dysuria, first average urination time and post-operative urination pattern were compared between two groups. Results The incidence of dysuria in the experimental group was 10.7%(6/56), which was significantly lower than 28.0% (14/50) of the control group (χ2=5.156, P<0.05).The first average urination time of experimental group was (2.95±1.17) hours, which was lower than (5.04±2.27) hours of the control group (t =5.401, P<0.05). The proportion of patients with post-operative self-urination in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group (χ2=6.152, P<0.05). Conclusions Cluster nursing intervention can reduce the incidence of dysuria, shorten the first average urination time, promote post-operative self-urination of patients after renel biopsy and enhance comfort.
