Objective To analyze the prevalence of postpartum depression in China.Methods CNKI,Chongqing VIP database,CBMDISK,Pubmed databases were searched for articles about postpartum depression prevalence in China published during 1996～2012.The random effects model was employed.Results There were 84 articles which provided 52 776 samples,and 8390 cases of depressive symptoms were detected.The pooled prevalence was 14.7％(13.1％～16.3％),The prevalence of postpartum depression was different in different regions,municipality directly under the central government was the lowest 10.9％(8.7％～12.7％),county area was the highest 16.4％ (11.9％～22.2％).From the east of China to the central and to the west,the prevalence rate assumed the trend of escalation.The prevalence which evaluated by standard of EPDS ≥ 10 was higher than the prevalence evaluated by EPDS ≥ 13 and SDS ≥50.Conclusions The prevalence of postpartum depression is high in China.More attention should be paid to the central,western of China,urban,rural and other underdeveloped areas.

In this article some ideas on the discipline construction and development in the school of medicine of Shahghai Jiao Tong University were put forward based on the results analysis of state key discipline application in 2007 and comparison between approval and failure disciplines from team,research,graduates education and lab construction.It will be meaningful for the sustainable development of the school of medicine of Shahghai Jiao Tong University in future.

Objective\ To study the early diagnosis and treatment of the fracture of posterior medial tubercle of the talus (PMTT).Methods\ Five cases of PMTT fractures had been definitely diagnosed by CT scan. Subtalar joint were involved in three cases, open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) had been adopted in 2;and 1 had been treated conservatively because of the refusal to surgery by the patient. Plaster cast fixation and excision of fragment was done respectively in one case. Results\ Four out of five cases had been correctly diagnosed and one had been misdiagnosed in the first visit.The mean follow up was 24 months. Non union combined with tenderness and numbness of the sole of the foot was found in the misdiagnosed case after 6 months. Excision of the fragment was carried out for this case and a satisfactory result had been achieved. Three of the other four cases was treated operatively with a good result and one were treated conservatively with a poor result. Conclusion\ The PMTT fractures are rarely seen and often misdiagnosed. Early diagnosis and correct treatment is important to eliminate the nonunion or tarsal tunnel syndrome.

Objective To study the proliferation promoting effect on osteoblast cells induced by sodium orthovanadate and whether nitric oxide (NO) was involved in this process. Methods MTT assay was employed to determine cell proliferation and its inhibition. The level of NO was measured by enzyme reduction method. Results The MTT values of MC3T3-E1 cells under the 2.5,5.0,10.0 ?mol/L of sodium orthovanadate were 0.3380?0.0045, 0.3400?0.0141, 0.3840?0.0313 respectively, which were higher than in control group (0.2540?0.0167)(P

Objective To evaluate the orthodontic effect of surgery on mixed dentition period class Ⅲ malocclusion and to investigate the effective therapeutic method of the skeletal class Ⅲ malocclusion.Methods A total of 20 patients aged 8.5 to 9.1 years with early mixed dentition class Ⅲ skeletal malocclusion.The treatment was divided into two phases.During the first phase,the entire stuffy group was treated with a bonded maxillary expansion and protraction.During the second phase,the entire study group received multiple loop edgewise arch wire (MEAW) treatment until an ideal occlusion relationship achieved.Comparison of the pre-and post-orthodontic treatment cephalometric radiographs had been done after maxillary protraction and MEAW were applied for patients.Results In the 20 patients after orthodontic treatment,Class Ⅲ skeletal facial profile was improved,the retraction of anterior teeth was obvious,and there were significant changes in dentition; the profile of soft tissue and satisfactory occlusion relationship were significantly improved,as compared with the changes between pre-treatment and post-treatment.Conclusions Skeletal Ⅲ malocclusion in early mixed dentition can be successfully treated.The results can be satisfied with improved class Ⅲ skeletal and molar relationship,high-angle and profile of soft tissue.

Objective To explore the association between the single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs3822086 site of the α-Synuclein(SNCA)gene and Parkinson's disease (PD) of Uygurs versus Hans in Xinjiang,and to compare the distribution difference of this polymorphic site between the Uygurs and Hans.Methods The rs3822086 polymorphism was determined by polymerase chainreaction restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) in 237 patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease (IPD,including 92 Uygurs and 145 Hans) and 247 health controls (including 103 Uygurs and 144 Hans).Results In the group aged ≥60 years,the T/T,C/T genotypes and T allele frequency were higher in PD group (196 cases) than in control group (196 cases) (25.5％ vs.20.9％,52.0％ vs.44.4％ and 51.5％ vs.43.1％),for genotype:P=0.027,allele:P=0.018.Between the Uygur versus Han nationality population,the T/T,C/T genotype and T allele frequency in the Uygurs were lower than in the Hans (15.4％ vs.30.4 ％,45.6％ vs.50.5％ and 38.2％ vs.55.7％),for genotype:P =0.000,allele:P =0.000.Conclusions The SNP rs3822086 site of SNCA gene may be a potential susceptibility site of IPD patients over the age of 60 years in Xinjiang,and rs3822086C/T + T/T is susceptible genotypes and rs3822086T is susceptible alleles.The distribution of rs3822086 polymorphism of SNCA might have a significant difference between the Xinjiang Uygur and Han populations.

BACKGROUND:Matrix extracel ular phosphoglycoprotein phosphorylated extracel ular matrix glycoprotein (MEPE) gene plays an important role in bone mineralization and absorption as wel as the balance of osteoblasts and osteoclasts. Studies on the function and regulatory mechanism of MEPE can provide new ideas for the treatment of osteoporosis. OBJECTIVE:To analyze the regulatory effects of transcription factor Runx2 on MEPE promoter in mouse preosteoblasts, thereby preliminarily studying the Runx2 effects in the process of bone formation and development. METHODS:First of al , the Runx2 eukaryotic expression vector was built according to the gene sequence of Runx2 in Genebank;then the dual luciferase reporter assay was employed to analyze the effects of Runx2 on transcription activity of MEPE promoters with different lengths in order to determine the promoter region in which Runx2 has significant effect. Afterwards, the effects of Runx2 on transcipition activity of MEPE gene promoter which induced by three MAPK signaling pathway inhibitors were investigated. Final y, real-time PCR was used to analyze the expression activity of MEPE gene promoter regulated by Runx2. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:We successful y constructed the Runx2 eukaryotic expression vector. Dual luciferase reporter assay showed that Runx2 could increase the transcription activity of MEPE gene promoter in preosteoblasts, and the fragment area in which Runx2 exhibited the more significant up-regulatory effectiveness was (-300 to+66)366 bp. Runx2 could increase the transcription activity of MEPE gene promoter by activating the MAPK single pathway. The real-time PCR verified that Runx2 increased the expression activity of MEPE gene promoter. These findings indicate that Runx2 can regulate the express of MEPE gene promoter by the MAPK single pathway, in order to build the basis for exploring the process of bone formation and development.

Objective To apply the health education intervention based on protection motivation theory in community female patients with stress urinary incontinence,in order to establish a health behavior and to control urinary incontinence.Methods 96 female patients with stress urinary incontinence were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group by random number table method,the control group received routine health education,the experimental group received health education based on protection motivation theory.The ICI-Q-SF score,pelvic muscle exercise compliance scale score,urinary incontinence coping efficacy score were compared between the control group and the experimental group.Results The ICI-Q-SF score of the experimental group after the intervention was 5.43 ± 1.77,which was significant lower than that in the control group,7.96±2.98,t=4.88,P＜0.01.The urinary incontinence coping efficacy scores of experiment groups after the intervention was 17.63±1.85,which was higher than that in the control group,13.49±2.46,t=-9.09,P＜0.01.There were 29 cases accounted for 63.04％ with good compliance and 17 cases accounted for 36.96％ with poor compliance in experimental group after intervention,14 cases accounted for 31.11％ with good compliance and 31 cases accounted for 68.89％ with poor compliance in control group after intervention,the difference was statistically significant,x2=9.306,P＜0.05.Conclusions Health education based on protection motivation theory can promote the coping efficacy and health behavior of community female patients with stress urinary incontinence and can effectively control urinary incontinence symptom.

Objective To investigate association between postural changes of blood pressure and carotid atherosclerosis in the elderly.Methods Standardized questionnaires,physical examination and biochemical blood tests were performed to acquire clinical characteristics of the participants.Presences of carotid plaques were identified by carotid ultrasound examination.Orthostatic hypotension (OH) and orthostatic hypertension (OHT) were defined according to the international consensus.Multivariable logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze the associations of carotid plaques with OH and OHT.Results 377 old people were finally included,of which 101 had OH and 33 had OHT.After full adjustment for possible confounders,old people with carotid plaques had significantly increased risk for OH as compared with those without carotid plaques (OR=2.27,95％ CI:1.32-3.90,P=0.003).Participants with bilateral carotid plaques were associated with significantly increased risk for OH (OR=3.45,95％CI:1.74 6.84,P=0.001),while the association between unilateral carotid plaques and OH was not significant (OR=1.71,95％ CI:0.88-3.32,P=0.112).No significant association was identified between carotid plaques (bilateral or unilateral) and OHT.Conclusions Presence of carotid plaques,particularly bilateral plaques,may be an independent risk factor for OH.
