2.Characteristic of children’s EEG complexity at different ages and in different states
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2003;0(05):-
Objective: To study characteristics of children's EEG complexity at different ages and in different physiological states. Methods: The continuous 24 hour EEG recordings were obtained from 16 electrodes in 45 essential healthy children between the ages of 0 to 15 years. EEG complexity was analyzed by non linear measure in 7 states: awake with eyes opened, awake with eyes closed, NREM (nonrapid eye movements) sleep including stages ⅠandⅡ (light sleep), ⅢandⅣ(deep sleep) and REM (rapid eye movements) sleep. Meanwhile, the correlation was analyzed between complexity and ages. Results: (1)The global EEG complexity in state of being awake with eyes opened was greater than that with eyes closed;that in wakefulness state was greater than in sleep state. The EEG complexity gradually decreased with the increase of deep sleep in NREM sleep state. The complexity in REM sleep state was greater than that in deep sleep state, but lower than in wakefulness state. (2) The global EEG complexity was positively related to ages in state of being awake with eyes opened, state of being awake with eyes closed, light sleep, and not related to ages in deep-sleep state and REM sleep state.(3)In every brain area EEG complexity was positively related to ages in state of being awake with eyes closed .In paracentral region EEG complexity was positively related to ages in states of being awake with eyes opened and light sleep. Conclusion: The EEG complexity was used to study the brain dynamical characteristics in different physiology states and the relationship between encephalic electric activity and brain development. It can be used as an objective index to evaluate the function and development of brain.

Herald of Medicine 2016;35(5):485-488
Objective To select antiplatelet regimen according to the results of CYP2C19 gene polymorphism, and then compare the major adverse cardiac events, bleeding events and the incidence of adverse reactions between two antiplatelet regimens. Methods Two hundred and seven patients who were diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome(ACS)and underwent elective PCI were tested for CYP2C19 genetic polymorphism, and 94 cases with CYP2C19 intermediate metabolism were randomly divided into high-dose clopidogrel group and ticagrelor group(47 cases each).High-dose clopidogrel group was given clopidogrel 150 mg once daily, and ticagrelor group ticagrelor 180 mg twice daily.Major adverse cardiac events, bleeding events and the incidence of adverse reactions were observed between two groups one month later. Results The average declined platelet aggregation rate was significantly different between the two groups[(6.27±5.65)% and(12.30±10.23)%,P<0.01];Adverse drug reactions ,the incidence of bleeding events and major adverse cardiac events of two groups were not significantly different. Conclusion Ticagrelor has stronger antiplatelet aggregation effects than high-dose clopidogrel. There is no difference in short-term clinical outcomes between the two groups.
4.Correlation between Serum Testosterone and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Elderly Male
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2007;13(9):893-894
: Objective To explore the correlation between serum testosterone and type 2 diabetes mellitus in elderly male. Methods 1012 elderly male were divided into 2 groups according to their histry of DM.Blood glucose(FBG,PBG),cholesterol(CHO),triglyceride(TG),blood pressure(DBP,SBP),body mass index(BMI),serum insulin(FINS,PINS),serum testosterone(T)and estradiol(E2)were measured. Results Eldly male with type 2 diabetes showed higher FBG,PBG,TG,FINS,PINS and E2 level than those without DM(P<0.05),and with lower HDL-C and T level(P<0.05).The analysis of multiple stepwise regression showed that T level was correlated with the level of HDL-C,FINS,PINS and TG.Conclusion TG,HDL-C,FINS and PINS level correlate with T level in eldly male with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Objective To observe the changes in NO content and NOS activity of serum and the testis in Wistar rats with type I diabetes mellitus. Methods 63 rats were randomly divided into control group(C) and diabetes group(D). Diabetes was induced by intraperitoneal injection of Alloxan. Rats with diabetes were observed for 1 week(D 1), 2 weeks(D 2), 3 weeks(D 3), 4 weeks(D 4), 5 weeks(D 5), 6 weeks(D 6), 7 weeks(D 7) and 8 weeks(D 8), respectively, and they were sacrificed at the end of each observation period. Serum was obtained and testis homogenates were prepared, and the levels of NO content and NOS activity of them were determined respectively. Results Compared diabetes group with control group, NO contents and NOS activity of serum from diabetic rats were higher, then NOS activity began to decline to approach the control level. In the testis homogenates, NO content dropped slightly after injection of Alloxan, while NOS activity showed no significant change. Thereafter, both NO content and NOS activity of testis homogenates were increased. Conclusion There are changes in NO content and NOS activity of serum and testis of rats after diabetes are induced with Alloxan.

Journal of Modern Laboratory Medicine 2016;31(5):147-149
Precision controls monitor assay random error (reproducibility),accuracy controls assess total error, both random error and systematic error, and trueness (bias)of an assay represents systematic error.A trueness control should be metro-logical traceable, ideally with a target value determined by use of a reference material or a reference method, without metro-logical traceable to a reference measurement system, patient test results for the same patient from different laboratories may not be comparable.A trueness control should be commutable and its analytical response to a reference method and a routine field method should be equivalent to that of a patient sample. And trueness control values should generally be set at medical decision levels and be prepared by the providers of reference materials and manufactured in the same fashion as a calibrator.
