Surgical resection,radiotherapy and chemotherapy are the current mainstays of cancer treatments.During ovarian cystectomy,part of the normal ovarian cortex could be resected together with ovarian mass,which suppresses ovarian reserve postoperatively.This reduction in ovarian reserve is especially produced after resection of ovarian endometriomas.On the other hand,radiotherapy and chemotherapy may cause cell apoptosis,diminish blood supply in the ovaries and weaken the brake on follicular recruitment.Brought together,these mechanisms give rise to accelerated deprivation of ovarian follicles,and hence undermine fecundity of the affected individuals.Moreover,radiotherapy could result in alterations in structure and functions of uterus and other pelvic organs,which translate into increased incidence of obstetric complications later on.Currently antral follicular count and serum anti-Müllerian hormone are the most sensitive and accurate measurements of ovarian reserve.

The complex multidimensional visual patterns of facial expression is particularly well sui ted for studying perception and the processes underlying perceptual integration of component parts into a meaningful whole.With the high resolution in milliseconds,event-related potential (ERP) may be an excellent technique to track the time course of cognitive processing for facial emotions.Facial affective stimuli elicit particular ERP components involved in early processing of facial expressions,including:early sensory processing of visual stimuli:the P100;early structural encoding of facial features:the N170;second-order sustained activities necessary for consequent deeper processing:the posterior P2 and decoding of facial features to identify emotional content:the N250.We reviewed above mentioned ERP components respectively,in order to add the knowledge about ERP components as indicators of neural dynamics of facial emotion processing,and to provide a point of reference for further exploration on facial emotion processing that may be useful for understanding human cognition development and pathology.

Objective To determine the feasibility of using Tet-on regulatory system to transfect primary rabbit bone marrow stem cells, and to control the activities of the target gene. Methods The Tet-on regulatory system were used to transfect bone marrow stem cells by lipofectamine with the increasing concentration of doxycycline (Dox), the activity of the fluorescence caused by the expression of the target gene (the luciferase gene) which transfected to bone marrow stem cells with Tet-on regulatory system were analyzed. Results Plasmids DNA after being digested by enzymes and agarose electrophoreses were analyzed. The DNA segments were cored with the plasmid map. The two DNA segments with the size of 6.02 kb and 1.38 kb could be detected after the plasmid of pTet-on, 5.2 kb DNA segment could be seen after the plasmid of pTRE-luciferase was digested by Hind Ⅲ. With the increasing concentration of Dox, the activity of the fluorescence caused by the expression of the target gene increased gradually. Although the uninfected bone marrow stem cells were induced, the relative-luciferase-unit(RLU) value was almost the same as that of the blanket control. It showed that uninfected bone marrow stem cells were not induced by Dox. The RLU value in infected bone marrow stem cells before induction was slightly high, but similar with the blanket control. This experiment shed light on that infected bone marrow stem cells showed good response to the induction by Dox. Conclusion With the help of Lipofectamine, the cultured bone marrow stem cells can be transfected by Tet-on regulatory system successfully. The expression of the target gene transfected to bone marrow stem cells with Tet-on regulatory system could be regulated by Dox.

Objective To investigate the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome ( OSAHS) associated with nasal resistance.Methods 30 cases with obstructive sleep apneahypopnea syndrome ( OSAHS ) in the OSAHS group, 30 cases with snoring but without OSAHS in the snoring group and 30 cases with normal group based on polysomnog-raphy were detected the nasal resistance.Results The index of thsnoring index[(42.7 ±27.3),(19.4 ±18.5), AHI(38.7 ±30.2),(5.9 ±1.6)and Resl+r(1.63 ±1.11)Pa· s-1· mL-1,(0.72 ±0.31)Pa· s-1· mL-1] in OSAS group and snoring group were significantly higher than those of the normal group ( t=6.451,7.444,7.698,all P<0.05);The index of lowest oxygen saturation ( SaO2 ) ,Flowl+r in OSAS group and thsnoring group were lower than that in normal group(t=7.551,7.334,all P<0.05);There were significant differences among groups of nasal resistance (t=7.451,8.144,8.608,8.904,all P<0.05);There were positive correlation between nasal resistance and snore index (r=5.658,P<0.01);The index of nasal resistance correlated with AHI index (r=0.002,P>0.05),wake times (r=0.083,P>0.05) and lowest SaO2(r=0.105,P>0.05)were not significantly correlated;The cases with OSAS cephalometric.The results suggest majority snoring symptoms significantly more at supine posi-tion in OSAS.Conclusion Nasal resistance increased,which may be associated with the occurrence in patients with OSAHS.

Objective To discuss the role of platelet-actived factors and hepatic and renal function in the development of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia by detecting the levels of the GP Ⅱb/Ⅲa in the blood, Pt and hepatic and renal function of the patients with pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. Method GP Ⅱb/Ⅲa, Pt and hepatic and renal function were measured in the normal non-pregnancy women, normal late-pregnancy women and pre-eclampsia and eclampsia women. Results The level of GP Ⅱb/Ⅲa in patients with severe pre-eclampsia and eclampsia was higher than that in non-pregnancy, normal late-pregnancy and mild pre-eclampsia (P<0.01). The count of Pt in patients with severe pre-eclampsia and eclampsia was lower than that in non-pregnancy, normal late-pregnancy and mild pre-eclampsia (P<0.01). Except ALB, the hepatic and renal function had significant difference among severe pre-eclampsia and eclampsia, normal late-pregnancy and mild pre-eclampsia. Conclusion Detecting the GP Ⅱb/Ⅲa, Pt and hepatic and renal function have clinical significance in severe pre-eclampsia and eclampsia.

Objective To find the source of CA 125 in serum and the values of the expression of CA125 in serum, ascites and tissue in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. Methods Detected the expression of CA125 in the primary lesions of epithelial ovarian cancer and the metastasis in abdominopelvic cavity (peritoneal and omental metastatic lesions) by S-P immunohistochemical methods. Compared the expression of CA 125 in tuberculose focus and acute inflammation focus in abdominopelvic cavity and detected CA125 in serum and ascites by ELISA. Results The levels of CA125 in serum of the patients with epithelial ovarian cancer [(523.66±158.02)kU/L],benign epithelial ovarian tumor [(138.11±26.52)kU/L] and tuberculosis of abdominopelvie cavity [(486.56±147.10)kU/L] were higher than that with the normal ovary [(17.48±3.37)kU/L], and there were significant differences (P<0.05).The levels of CA125 in serum of the patients with epithelial ovarian cancer and tuberculosis of abdominopelvic cavity were significantly higher than that with benign epithelial ovarian tumor, and there were significant differenees (P<0.01). The levels of CA125 in ascites of the patients with epithelial ovarian cancer [(996.85±337.87)kU/L] and tuberculosis of abdominopelvic cavity [(596.78±197.10)kU/L] were higher than that with benign epithelial ovarian tumor [(179.48±63.08)kU/L] and normal ovary [(177.70±51.72)kU/L], and there were significant differences (P<0.01).The level of CA125 in ascites of the patients with epithelial ovarian cancer was higher than that with tuberculosis of abdominopelvic cavity, and there was significant difference (P<0.01). By correlation analysis, the relationship of the level of CA 125 in serum and in ascites of the patients with epithelial ovarian cancer was positive correlation(r=0.687). Conclusion Besides the original and metastatie lesions (greater omenta and peritoneum) of epithelial ovarian cancer can express CA 125, the second Maller canal, for example the peritoneum mesothelial cell can be stimulated to express CA125 by ascites, which results in the increase of CA125 in serum.

Totally 613 specialized nurses in 14 specialty areas were successfully trained by the health department of Guangdong province and the Hong Kong hospital authority collaboratively from 2007 to 2010.There were three stages in the training program including candidate interview and preparations for inter-regional training,specialty nursing courses in Hong Kong (10 months of clinical practice and 300 hours of theoretical courses) and postgraduate courses in Guangdong (300 hours).The program explored the inter-regional joint training mode for specialized nurses; improvement mechanism for teaching management and the combination of scientific research training and working practice.The successful experience of the program may provide references to the training of domestic specialized nurses and clinical nursing postgraduates.

Objective To investigate the effect of vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) technology on prevention and treatment of infection wound and to repair the infectious fracture wound in earthquake. Methods Twenty-two patients with limb fractures and open infection wound received VSD from May 12, 2008 to June 19, 2008 in West China Hospital of Sichuan University. Before the VSD, we debrided all wounds and gave effective systemic antibiotics. A -18 ～ - 14 kPa pressure was exerted to the wound, and the VSD was used for 8 ～ 10 days. We took a germiculture regularly. The capacity, color, and nature of negative pressure drainage, the regression of limb swelling, and systemic inflammatory responses were observed. Results There was no active bleeding wound or transparent film off in all patients. Three patients had drainage clogging, and were kept flowing freely using the sterile saline pipe to remove the blockage of necrotic tissues. During the VSD, granulation tissues grew well in the 13 patients with bone exposure of the wounded. Two patients whose symptom of inflammatory was not obviousy eased had another debridement to completely remove the necrosis, and the symptom was relieved. After 3-5 days of VSD, swelling and fever in the other 20 patients significantly subsided. Conclusion VSD can alleviate the wound inflammation, facilitate the growth of the fresh granulation tissue from the surrounding to the center, and reduce the flap transfer area for the Stage Ⅱ coverage of the exposed bone.

Objective To study the effects of hypothermia therapy on coagulopathy in neonates with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE) of different degrees.Methods Twenty-five newborns with HIE were divided into 2 groups (moderate HIE group and severe HIE group) by amplitude integrated electroencephalogram(aEEG).The platelet (PLT) count,activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT),prothrombin time(PT),thrombin time(TT),fibrinogen (Fbg) and international normalized ratio (INR) were measured before hypothermia therapy and those after 24 hours,48 hours,72 hours after hypothermia therapy were collected.The hematological parameters of 2 groups were analyzed by repeated measurement analysis of variance.Results The APTT(t=2.239,P<0.05)and PT(t=2.453,P<0.05) of severe HIE group were significantly longer than those of moderate HIE group and significantly different.PLT,PT,APTT and Fbg(all P>0.05)showed no statistically significant difference between 2 groups after hypothermia therapy.The differences in INR(F=12.470,P<0.05),TT(F=8.275,P<0.01)between 2 groups were significant.Fbg at diffe-rent time points showed no significant difference (P>0.05) between 2 groups.The differences in PLT(F=32.420,P<0.01),PT(F=9.377,P<0.01),APTT(F=15.420,P<0.01),TT(F=7.326,P<0.01)and INR(F=12.699,P<0.01)at different time points were significant between 2 groups.The degree of brain injury and time had no interactive effects in PLT,INR and Fbg(all P>0.05).But the degree of brain injury and time had interactive effects in PT(F=3.374,P<0.05),APTT(F=4.227,P<0.05)and TT(F=3.585,P<0.05).It indicated that the change trend in PT,APTT and TT were different between 2 groups.The increase range of PT,APTT and TT of severe HIE group was higher than moderate HIE group after hypothermia therapy for 24 hours.The percentages of severe HIE group who received transfusion with blood product were higher than those of moderate HIE group(P>0.05).Conclusion The coagulopathy function is worse in neonates with severe HIE in hypothermia therapy which may aggravate the hemorrhage risk.And the effect of hypothermia on neonates with moderate HIE is less evident.So hierarchical intervention on coagulopathy in neonates with HIE during hypothermia should be adopted to relieve the hemorrhage risk.

Objective To evaluate the effects of propofol anesthesia on hippocampal protein kinase A (PKA)-cAMP response element binding protein (CREB) signaling pathway in neonatal rats.Methods One hundred and seventy-five male Sprague-Dawley rats,aged 7 days,weighing 8-15 g,were randomly divided into 5 groups (n =35 each) using a random number table:control group (C group) and propofol 25,50,100 and 200 mg/kg groups (P~ groups).Groups P1 and P2 received intraperitoneal propofol 25 and 50 mg/kg,respectively.Groups P3 and P4 received intraperitoneal propofol 100 and 200 mg/kg,respectively,and after righting reflex completely recovered,an increment of propofol 50 mg/kg was given until the total amount was finished.Five animals in each group were chosen and arterial blood samples were obtained immediately after the animals were fully awake for blood gas analysis.Five animals in each group were chosen at 2 h after fully awake and the age of 9 weeks,the rats were sacrificed and their brains were removed for microscopic examination of the ultrastructure of hippocampal neurons and for determination of PKA mRNA,CREB mRNA,PKA protein and pCREB protein in hippocampus (using RT-PCR and Western blot analysis).Results There was no significant difference in the indexes of blood gas analysis anong the five groups (P ＞ 0.05).Nuclear swelling and fragmentation,chromatin condensation,apoptotic bodies,decreased number of synapses and widened synaptic space were observed in P2,P3 and P4 groups.Compared with group C,the expression of PKA mRNA,CREB mRNA,PKA protein and pCREB protein was significantly down-regulated at 2 h after fully awake and the age of 9 weeks in P1,P2,P3 and P4 groups (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The mechanism by which propofol anesthesia induces neurotoxicity in neonatal rats may be related to inhibition of the activity of PKA-CREB signaling pathway.
