Objective To construct pEGFP-C2-AQP4-M23 plasmid and to detect its expression in CTX-TNA2 cells in order to study the effect of AQP4 on astrocytes in hypoglycemia. Methods AQP4 gene obtained from SD rats by RT-PCR was cloned into pEGFP-C2 plasmid. The recombinant plasmid was transfected into CTX-TNA2 cells, then treated with low glucose. The expression and effect of AQP4 on CTX-TNA2 cells were examed with confocol. Results PCR and enzyme digestion showed AQP4 size was right; confocol demonstrated that AQP4 was expressed on the membrane of CTX-TNA2 cells, and the surfacial area of CTX-TNA2 cells with AQP4was larger than those without AQP4 in hypoglycemia. Conclusion pEGFP-C2-AQP4-M23 plasmid was successfully constructed and expressed in the CTX-TNA2 cell membrane and AQP4 plays an important role in cell edema in hypoglycemia.

Objective:To investigate the safety and efficacy of interleukin-6 antisense oligonucleotide liposomes on the experimental animals for prevention of after cataract. Methods:Thirty healthy New-Zealand rabbits(30 left eyes) received extracapsular lens extraction, and were randomly divided into 3 groups: anterior chamber injection of 0.1ml of interleukin-6 antisense oligonucleotide liposomes(Group A),blank liposomes(Group B) after operation respectively;and control group(Group C).All left eyes were examined by slit-lamp microscope and ophthalmoscope regularly. The aqueous humor IL-6 concentrations were measured 1 day before operation, and 1 day,3 days,7 days,14 days and 30 days after operation through enzyme-linked immunoabsorbent assay.Three months later, photographs of the posterior lens capsules were taken through digital slit-lamp microscope and the histopathological changes of posterior lens capsules were observed by light microscope. Results:①Three months after the operation, the number of eyes developing posterior capsule opacification in Group A,B and C were 7,10 and 10 respectively, with significant difference(P=0.037).② The average value of Group A was lower than Group B and C,with statistically significant difference(P

Objective To investigate the level of anxiety and emotional intelligence in general nurses of community health service centers in Shenzhen city, and provide theoretical basis for the intervention of anxiety in general nurses by analyzing the relationship between anxiety and emotional intelligence . Methods The self-rating anxiety scale ( SAS ) and emotions intelligence scale ( EIS ) were employed for the survey among 92 general nurses from 20 community health service centers in Shenzhen city . Results The SAS scores was 40.18 ± 7.26, significantly higher than the national norm. The rate of anxiety was 54.35%. Thirty-nine contracted anxiety at a low level, accounting for 42.39%, 10 did at a moderate level, accounting for 10.87%, and 1 did at a higher level, accounting for 1.09%. The EIS score was 3.49 ± 0.47. The highest dimension score was management of emotions for others and the lowest score was emotional perception. The dimension of management of emotions for others was positively related to social anxiety (P<0.05), and the dimension of use of emotions negatively related to social anxiety (P<0.05). Conclusions General nurses of community health service centers in Shenzhen suffer from anxiety at a high level and their emotional intelligence is at a medium level. Both factors predict the level of social anxiety in general nurses of community health service centers . Improving the emotional intelligence can be an approach to reduce the level of anxiety.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
Objective To observe the changes in NO content and NOS activity of serum and the testis in Wistar rats with type I diabetes mellitus. Methods 63 rats were randomly divided into control group(C) and diabetes group(D). Diabetes was induced by intraperitoneal injection of Alloxan. Rats with diabetes were observed for 1 week(D 1), 2 weeks(D 2), 3 weeks(D 3), 4 weeks(D 4), 5 weeks(D 5), 6 weeks(D 6), 7 weeks(D 7) and 8 weeks(D 8), respectively, and they were sacrificed at the end of each observation period. Serum was obtained and testis homogenates were prepared, and the levels of NO content and NOS activity of them were determined respectively. Results Compared diabetes group with control group, NO contents and NOS activity of serum from diabetic rats were higher, then NOS activity began to decline to approach the control level. In the testis homogenates, NO content dropped slightly after injection of Alloxan, while NOS activity showed no significant change. Thereafter, both NO content and NOS activity of testis homogenates were increased. Conclusion There are changes in NO content and NOS activity of serum and testis of rats after diabetes are induced with Alloxan.
