Objective:To analyze the evolutionary characteristics and variation of etiological agent in an acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis (AHC) outbreak in a city of Guangdong province in May, so as to provide scientific basis for formulating a new round of measures for prevention and control of AHC epidemic. Methods:In this study, 20 conjunctival swabs were collected from AHC patients, and enterovirus, human enterovirus 70 (HEV70) and coxsackievirus A 24 variant (CVA24v) nucleic acids were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR. In addition, the VP1 and 3Cpro regions of the CVA24v positive samples were sequenced to analyze their evolutionary relationship with the CVA24v strains circulating in China and abroad. Results:All the 20 eye swab samples were EV-positive, and CVA24v-positive, with a positive rate of 100.00%, and all were HEV70-negative.The genomes of CVA24v in VP1 and 3Cpro regions of CVA24v in 5 and 7 samples were successfully sequenced. Based on molecular characterization analysis of VP1 and 3Cpro regions, it was found that the CVA24v isolated in this outbreak had the greatest nucleotide similarity with the CVA24v strains isolated in Thailand in 2014 and French Reunion Islands in 2015. The phylogenetic analysis of 3Cpro and VP1 regions showed that the CVA24v isolated in this outbreak is clustered together with the CVA24v that was prevalent in Thailand in 2014 and the French Reunion Islands in 2015, and have high affinity. Compared with CVA24v isolated in Guangdong in 2010, Thailand in 2014, and French Reunion Islands in 2015, CVA24v isolated in this outbreak was replaced at 4 amino acid sites in 3Cpro region and 1 amino acid site in VP1 region. Conclusions:The cause of this outbreak is enterovirus CVA24v, which has the highest similarity to CVA24v isolated in Thailand in 2014 and in the French Reunion Islands in 2015. There were new amino acid mutations in both 3Cpro and VP1 regions.
2.Visualization Analysis of Research Hotspots and Trends in Treatment of Radioactive Iodine Refractory Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma
Cancer Research on Prevention and Treatment 2025;52(2):156-164
Objective To explore research hotspots and future development trends in radioactive iodine refractory differentiated thyroid carcinoma (RAIR-DTC) treatment from 2004 to 2024. Methods Literature on RAIR-DTC treatment published from January 2004 to May 2024 was retrieved from the Web of Science (WOS) database. CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and Microsoft Office Excel were used for visual analysis of publication volume, countries, institutions, authors, keywords, and co-citation networks. Results A total of 677 articles were included in the analysis. National and institutional co-occurrence analysis revealed that the United States, along with the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas, was the most productive and influential in this field. Author and citation co-occurrence analysis highlighted the substantial contributions of Schlumberger M and Brose MS to the field. The exploration of high-frequency keywords and keyword clustering indicated tyrosine kinase inhibitors and disease prognostic factors were current research hotspots. Keyword burst analysis suggested that future research trends would focus on optimizing clinical benefits through reliable data provided from high-quality clinical trials and achieving personalized, precise treatment management. Conclusion Targeted drugs hold remarkable potential for RAIR-DTC treatment, and emphasizing predictive factors for disease prognosis offers valuable guidance for medical practice.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of the extract of Xiongmatang on 5-HT and CGRP in brain tissue of rats with liver-yang hyperactivity and blood stagnation migraine. METHODS:Fifty male spontaneously hypertension (SHR) rats were randomly divided into model control group,Zhengtian pill positive control group (1.6 g/kg),the extract of Xiongmatang low-dose,medium-dose and high-dose groups(4.5,9.0,18.0 g/kg,by crude drug),with 10 rats in each group. Another 10 normal rats were taken as normal control group. Administration group was given relevant medicine intragastrically, once a day,for consecutive 28 d. Normal control group and model control group were given equal volume normal saline intragastrically. After last administration, except for normal control group, other groups were used to stimulate trigeminal ganglia(10 min)to establish liver-yang hyperactivity and blood stagnation migraine model, and maintained the administration once more after making the model. 30 min later, general behavior and tongue quality of rats were observed, and the blood pressure was measured;the contents of 5-HT and CGRP in cerebral tissue of rats were determined by ELISA. The protein expression of CGRP in cerebral tissue of rats were determined by Western blot method. RESULTS: Compared with the normal control group, the rats in the model control group had behavioral symptoms, such as the color of conjunctiva deepened and reddened, excessive hairdressing, head flicking, and most of the rats had purple tongue;the systolic pressure and the content and protein expression of CGRP were all increased obviously(P<0.05 or P<0.01), while the content of 5-HT in cerebral tissue was decreased obviously(P<0.01). Compared with model control group, general behavior and tongue quality of rats were improved significantly in administration groups. Systolic pressure, the content and the protein expression of CGRP in cerebral tissue of rats were decreased significantly in Zhengtian pill positive control group and the extract of Xiongmatang high-dose group (P<0.05),while the content of 5-HT in cerebral tissue of rats were increased significantly in Zhengtian pill positive control group, the extract of Xiongmatang medium-dose and high-dose groups(P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS:The extract of Xiongmatang has obvious protective effect on liver-yang hyperactivity and blood stagnation migraine model rats, the mechanism of which may be associated with reducing the content of CGRP in cerebral tissue and raising the content of 5-HT in cerebral tissue
