Modern Clinical Nursing 2014;(6):6-11
Objective To investigate the prevalence of dyslipidemia and overweight/obesity of residents from different economic communities.Method One thousand six hundred and twenty-three residents from three communities with different economic condition in Huadu District,Guangzhou from June to July 2012 participated in the survey by questionnaire and health examination. Results The total prevalence rate in overweight/obesity was 29.4%and that of dyslipidemia 45.4%. The difference of prevalence rate of dyslipidemia among the three economic communities was not statistically significant(P>0.05). But the prevalence of overweight/obesity was statistically significantly different among them(P<0.05). The prevalence rate of overweight/obesity in Huadong town with a relatively poorer economy was lower than that of Tianmei town with a relatively better economy(P<0.017). The prevalence rate of overweight/obesity of male among the three communities had no significant differences(P>0.05),whereas the differences in the females were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the prevalence rate of Huadong town was lower than that of Tianmei town&Xinhua town. The differences in the prevalence of overweight/obesity at different ages from all economic communities showed statistical significance(all P<0.05).The residents aged 45~65 accounted for a large proportion of overweight/obesity.Conclusions Residents in the area have a high prevalence of overweight/obesity and dyslipidemia. The prevalence rates of overweight/obesity from the villages with better economic conditions are higher than that from the villages with poorer economic conditions. Residents aged 45-65 from all the three communities have a relatively high occurrence of overweight/obesity and dyslipidemia.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2014;(5):290-294
Objective: To observe the clinical effect of foot bath with Tao Hong Si Wu Tang plus massage on acupoints at the sole for grade 0 diabetic foot.
Methods: One hundred and sixty eligible cases were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 80 cases in each group. The two groups were treated with routine basic medications to control blood sugar. The patients in the observation group were given foot bath withTao Hong Si Wu Tangplus massage on acupoints at the sole, once every day. At the same time, the patients were instructed to understand the knowledge of diabetes, accept the education on foot care and to know the self-management for diabetes. The patients in the control group only accepted the education on foot care and studied the self-management for diabetes. The patients in the two groups were followed up once every week by phone. The local examination was intensified for the patients in their clinical visit every month. The therapeutic effects were assessed after three months of continuous treatment.
Results: The total effective rate was 92.5% in the observation group, remarkably higher than 65.0% in the control group. The difference in comparison of the general therapeutic effect was statistically significant (P<0.01).
Conclusion: Foot bath withTao Hong Si Wu Tang plus massage on acupoints at the sole was beneficial to the improvement of clinical symptoms of grade 0 diabetic foot.

Objective To explore the values of combined detection of serumhuman epididymis protein E4 , CA125 and CA199 in diagnosis of endometrial cancer. Methods 118 patients with endometrial cancer were chosen as group A, 82 patients with benign uterine disease were assigned to group B. Serum levels of HE4, CA125 and CA199 were detected and the positive rates were compared between the two groups. Results Serum levels of HE4, CA125, and CA199, the positive rate were significantly higher in group A than in group B (P <0.05). HE4 positive rate was highest in group A, and group B had no HE4-positive patients. The sensitivity and accuracy of HE4 + CA125 + CA199 were the highest, which was 94.9% and 92.5%. Levels of HE4, CA125 and CA199 and positive rate showed a rising trend as FIGO stage increased (P < 0.05), and HE4 positive rate was significantly higher than those of CA125 and CA199 (P < 0.05). Conclusions HE4 can be used to identify benign and malignant diseases in the uterus , and has a higher diagnostic value of endometrial cancer as compared with CA125 and CA199. Combined detection of HE4, CA125 and CA199 can improve the positive rate and diagnosis accuracy in endometrial cancer.

In the present study, the genomic sequence characteristics of HN-JY40 strains of the hepatitis E virus (HEV) isolated from pigs in Henan Province, China, were analyzed and the evolutionary relationship between HN-JY40 and other sequenced strains examined. The whole genome of HN-JY40 was sequenced and analyzed by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, 3' rapid amplification of cDNA ends (3' RACE) and 5' RACE. Bioinformatic analyses were carried out with Megalign, Expasy, clustal x, and MEGA 4 software. The genome of HN-JY40 was 7 223 bp in size upon removal of polyA sequences. Sizes were 9 bp and 69 bp at 5' and 3' noncoding regions, respectively. The genome of HN-JY40 was predicted to contain three open reading frames (ORFs): ORF1 (5 124 bp) encoding 1 707 amino acids; ORF2 (2 025 bp) encoding 674 amino acids; ORF3 (345 bp) encoding 114 amino acids. Phylogenetic-tree analyses indicated that HN-JY40 is a typical type-IV virus that belongs to a new subgenotype of HEV genotype 4. We sequenced and analyzed the whole genome of HN-JY40. This strategy elicited the genomic characteristics of the HEV isolated from pigs in Henan Province as well as the evolutionary relationships between HN- JY40 and other HEV isolates from pigs. We revealed that the ORF1 of HN-JY40 (153-432 nt) and human HK 104-2004 had high similarity, which offers molecular evidence for uncovering the interspecies transmission of the HEV.
