Chongqing Medicine 2015;(22):3070-3071,3075
Objective To analysis the causes and characteristic of cracked teeth with pulpitis and explore clinical diagnosis and treatment methods. Methods A total of 78 tooth that was identified as a cracked tooth with pulpitis was recorded and analyzed in terms of the age,the position in the mouth, and the location of crack-line.After reducing the cusp height, root canal therapy and crown restoration, the patients were followed up for one year and the treatment effectiveness was reviewed. Results The most prevalent age was 39-49 years. The most of cracked teeth were found in the maxillary molars. There were 65 cases (83.33%)that were treated successfully, the function of 1 1 cases (14.10%)were improved, and the rate of failure were 2.56% (2 cases).Conclu-sion Reasonable clinical diagnosis and treatment can contribute to the retention of the cracked teeth.Coronal restoration after root canal therapy might be a very effective way to treat cracked teeth with pulpitis.

International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2016;(2):211-212,215
Objective To investigate the value of quantitative TB‐DNA test ,interferon gamma release test and the detection of tuberculosis antibodies for the diagnosis of active pulmonary tuberculosis .Methods 51 patients were diagnosed as tuberculosis from 2013 July to 2014 June in the hospital ,whose sputum smear microscopy for acid fast bacilli were positive .Then TB‐DNA quantitative test ,interferon gamma release test (T‐SPOT .TB)and tuberculosis antibody detection were performed for those pa‐tients .All the result were retrospectively analysed .Results The positive rate of T‐SPOT .TB was 90 .1% ,the positive rate of quan‐titative TB‐DNA test was 74 .5% and the positive rate of tuberculosis antibody detection was 37 .3% .Conclusion Because the re‐sult of T‐SPOT .TB is not affected by the process of specimen collection ,it is the most sensitive test of the three tests at present , and has higher value in the auxiliary diagnosis of active pulmonary tuberculosis than the other two .

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2010;25(3):189-192
Objective To investigate the prognostic factots by analyzing clinicopathologlcal characteristics of 972 cases of colonic carcinoma. Methods Clinical and pathological data of 972 patients with colonic carcinoma treated surgically were studied by univariate and multivariate analysis, survival rate was calculated by life-table method and compared by Log-rank test. Results The univariate analysis indicated that the predictors of survival were age, perioperative blood transfusion, perioperative carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)level, tumor gross type, depth of tumor invasion, lymphatic invasion, liver metastasis, extrahepatic metastasis, local recurrence、peritoneal seeding, pathological type,TNM stage and type of lymph node clearance. The multivariate analysis indicated that the independent predictors of suivival were age, periopemtive CEA level, tumor gross type, lymphatic invasion, liver metastasm, extrahepatic metastasis, local recurrence、peritioneal seeding, pathological type, type of lymph node clearance and TNM stage. Confclusions Lymphatic invasion is the most important independent prognostic factor of patients with colonic carcinoma treated surgically.

Objective To study the clinical characteristics and the related factors of elderly arrhythmia. Methods 658 elderly patients with cardiac arrhythmia who were confirmed by the conventional ECG or Holter were chosen.Their arrhythmia type and related factors were analyzed. Results Among 658 cases of elderly patients, atrial fibrillation accounted for the highest rate(19.0%,241/1 266),followed by ventricular contraction of 17.0% (215/ 1 266).The detection rate of sinus arrhythmia, ventricular arrhythmia was significantly different between ≥ 80 age group and < 80 years old group of elderly patients (P < 0.05).The 658 elderly patients had a total of 976 kinds of underlying disease, every elderly patient had one or more than one underlying disease. The top five underlying diseases were hypertension 18.6% (182/976),coronary heart disease 16.9% (165/976),chronic obstructive pulmonary disease 15.1% (147/976),diabetes 14.3% (140/976),malignant tumors 11.1% (108/976),other underlying disease 24.0% (234/976).In ≥ 80-years-old group,50.8% (123/242) patients complicated with a variety of underlying diseases, which was significantly higher than that of < 80-years-old group 24.5% (102/416) (P < 0.05).Conchluion Elderly patients due to the presence of different levels of underlying diseases and function degradation, prone to a variety of different types of arrhythmias, which should attract enough attention in clinical diagnosis and treatment, early detection and early intervention,in order to improve the quality of life of elderly patients.

In order to observe the effects of the supernatant of WEHI-3 cell culture which contains IL-3 (interleukin 3), we have Performed some experiments by adding WEHI-3 supernatant to murine bone marrow cells culture. Cell culture of six days shows that the supernatant of WEHI-3 can promote adherence and proliferation of the stromal cells. There are 1.334?10~6 stromal cells/L in the culture which contained 20% WEHI-3 supernatant. Four kinds of stromal cells can be identified under both light microscope and SEM. Fibroblast-like cells which tend to be spindle-shaped with many filament-like and microvilli-like dendrites on the cell surface; Riticular-like cells which are irregular with some folds on the dendrites surface occasionally; Macrophage-like cells which are round with many phagocytic granules in the cytoplasm, and are characterized by positive ANAE staining, and many lamina-like folds and long filament-like dendrites on the cell sufrace; Fat cells are few in number, the cell body is ovoid with lipid droplet, and show strong cytoplasmic staining for Sudan black B, the cell surface is smooth. At the same time we have also observed the close contact between the hematopoietic cells and the stromal cells. In the culture without WEHI-3 supernatant, we have found few small adhered cells with less cytoplasm and weak enzyme activaties under light microscope, and with atrophied cell body and flat surface under SEM. The cell count of the stromal cells in normal culture is 58.83/mm~2. The results showed that WEHI-3 supernatant can promote the growth and proliferation of the stromal cells of murine bone marrow with some histochemical changes.

Objective To investigate the health-related quality of life (HRQOL), demographic characteristics, and health behaviors of the Chinese elderly to find out high-risk population and behaviors. Methods Data was collected from a cross-sectional survey performed in Jiangsu, Anhui, Gansu,Qinghai, Fujian, Beijing, Jilin, Jiangxi, and Henan province. MOS SF-36 was used for HRQOL assessment, t test was used for HRQOL comparison between the elderly and the general population. Multiple stepwise linear regression analysis was used to evaluate the affecting factors. Results The HRQOL among the Chinese elderly were PF ( Physical Functioning) 79 ± 21, RP ( Role-Physical ) 68 ± 40, BP ( Bodily Pain) 72 ± 23, GH ( General Health) 57±22, VT ( Vitality ) 69 ± 20, SF ( Social Functioning) 79 ± 23, RE ( Role-Emotional ) 72 ±40, M H ( Mental Health)76 ± 18, which were lower than Sichuan Norm on 7 dimensions ( P < 0. 05 ; except on M H dimension) and lower than Hangzhou Norm on 5 dimensions (P < 0. 05 ;except on GH, VT, and MHdimensions). The important affecting factors included physical exercise, education level, medical history of chronic disease, age, race, marriage, body mass index ( BMI ), sleeping habits, and gender. Conclusions Compared with the general population, the HRQOL in the elderly might be lower. The health policy and community heahhcare services should focus on the elderly individuals with insufficient exercise, lower education level, chronic disease history, and ethnic minority, or widows. Health education should encourage them to improve physical exercise and sleeping behavior.
