ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of the comprehensive surgical management of primary venous reflux disease in lower extremity. MethodsComprehensive surgical management was performed on 108 patients( 126 limbs) with primary venous reflux disease between February, 1996 and Sept, 2000. All limbs were performed with superficial venous operation. External valvuloplasty of femoral vein valve was given to 83 cases(97 limbs) simultaneously, and to 22 cases (26 limbs) with concomitant subfascial endoscopic perforator surgery(SEPS). 3 cases (3 limbs) were operated with concomitant SEPS only. ResultsVenous claudication, swelling, and aching disappeared in 80.2% of limbs( 101/126) and apparent improvement in 19.8 % of limbs(25/126). All varicose veins were gone. Ulcer healing pre sented in 80 % of the limbs(8/10) with ulcers and ulcer decreasing in 20% of the limbs(2/10) in 3~6 months after superficial and deep venous operations. Ulcer healing presented in 23 cases(26 limbs) with ulcers and ulcer decreasing in remaining 2 limbs in 14 to 32 days after additional SEPS besides superficial and or deep venous operations. Deep venous valve sufficiency was demonstrated in 89.7% (113/126) of the limbs by Color Duplex. ConclusionIn the patients with severe primary venous reflux disease, comprehensive surgical management with concomitant superficial, deep and perforating veins might greatly improve the clinical effect.

Objective To investigate the effect of sevoflurane anesthesia on DNA methyltransferase (DNMT) mRNA expression in neonatal rat amygdala. Methods Forty-two 8-day-old SD rats were randomly divided into 2 groups ( n = 21 each): control group and experimental group. 5% sevoflurane was inhaled for 1 min, and then the inhaled concentration of sevoflurane was decreased to 3 % and maintained for 4 h. The rats were sacrificed at the end of sevoflurane inhalation and 24 h after the end of sevoflurane inhalation, and amygdala was removed for determination of DNMT, mRNA, DNMT3, mRNA and DNMT3b mRNA expression by RT-PCR. Blood samples were taken at the end of sevoflurane inhalation for blood gas analysis. Results Compared with control group, the DNMT, mRNA and DNMT3, mRNA expression was down-regulated (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in DNMT3b mRNA expression and parameters of blood gas analysis between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Sevoflurane anesthesia can down-regulate DNMT, mRNA and DNMT,, mRNA expression in neonatal rat amygdala, which may result in functional deficits during the development of central nervous system.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(05):-
Objective: To study the effects of hyperbaric oxyge(HBO) in the treatment of periodontitis. Methods: 60 Guinea pigs were divided into 3 groups, 20 animals each group: ①Experimental periodontitis was induced by silk suture and feeding with the food containing 100 g/L of sugar and then exposed to 0.25 MPa of HBO for 60 min once a day when periodontitis established; ② the other 20 animals were simillary treated to group ① but not exposed to HBO; ③ another 20 animals were used as controls. HBO treatment was conducted for 2 weeks. Samples of periodontal tissues were obtained 0,4,8 and 10 weeks after treatment and prepared for histopathological study and electron microscopic observation. Results: In the treated group there were fewer macrophages in gingiva and periodontal ligment, more blood vessles, less absorption of alveolar bone, more osteoblasts and more osteogenesis in the bone. There were fewer metochodria and rough endo reticulum in plasmacytes, macrophages and osteoclasts; and more in fibroblasts, endothelial cells of blood vessles and osteoblasts. Conclusion: HBO may improve blood supply, inhibit macrophage and bone absorption.

Early diagnosis and precision medicine generally show significant differences in the prognosis of patients with carcinoma. Angiogenesis not only plays a key role in tumor pathophysiology but also acts as an important drug target. Peptides with specific se-quences can target specific molecules on the endothelial cellular membrane during tumor angiogenesis. Radionuclide-labeled molecu-lar probes exhibit many advantages in oncotherapy. This article focuses on the progress of radionuclide-labeled RGD and RRL in radio-immunoimaging and radioimmunotherapy targeting tumor angiogenesis.

Objective To explore the moderating and mediating roles of psychological capital in the associations of effort?reward imbalance and overcommitment with job burnout among iron?steel workers. Methods Totally 1 700 male iron?steel workers from an iron and steel company were enrolled for the study. A set of questionnaires that included demographic and working factors, the Maslach Burnout Inventory?General Survey, the Ef?fort?reward Imbalance Scale and the Psychological Capital Questionnaire,as well as perceived work environment was distributed to the subjects. A to?tal of 1 254 effective respondents(73.76%)were collected. Hierarchical linear regression analysis was performed to explore moderating role, and as?ymptotic and resampling strategies were used to detect mediating role. Results There was no moderating role of psychological capital on the associa?tion between effort?reward imbalance and job burnout. Psychological capital had significant and positive moderating roles on the associations of over?commitment with emotional exhaustion and cynicism. Psychological capital showed significant mediating role in the associations of effort?reward im?balance with emotional exhaustion and cynicism, and the proportion of mediating role was 5.84%and 18.75%,respectively. Conclusion In work?ers with high level of psychological capital, emotional exhaustion and cynicism would be significantly increased with overcommitment, and there is a weak increasing trend of emotional exhaustion and cynicism in workers with low level of psychological capital. Effort?reward imbalance could lead to emotional exhaustion and cynicism through the reduction of psychological capital of iron?steel workers.

Objective To investigate the surgical treatment of infected femoral pseudoaneurysm caused by injection of heroin. Method Retrospective analysis was made on the clinical data of 14 cases of infected ruptured femoral pseudoaneurysm caused by injection of heroin. Results All 14 cases underwent operation. The ruptured sizes of arteries were 0.5 cm-2.0 cm . All cases were treated by resection of the aneurysm and replacement of iliac-femoral artery with artificial graft. Blood supply and function were good in all limbs after operations. Aneurysm cavities and incision wounds were treated with debridement, drainage and anti-infective treatment. All wounds were healed. 2 weeks and 3 months after operation, the grafts were patency demonstrated by Color Doppler examination. None of them was complicated with anastomosis leakage or thrombosis. Conclusion Thorough debridement of aneurysms and reconstruction of the artery are the effective approach in treating the infected ruptured femoral pseudoaneurysm caused by injecting heroin. Sufficient drainage, anti-infective and anti-coagulation therapy should be considered after the operation.
