Objective To study the esophageal motor function in patients with reflux esophagitis (RE) and Barrett esophagus ( BE). Methods Patients with reflux esophagitis and Barrett esophagus which were diagnosed by endoscopy were recruited for symptomatic investigation, Twenty-seven patients with RE, 18 patients with BE and 12 non-reflux patients as controls were recruited prospectively for stationary esophageal manometry and 24-hour ambulatory esophageal pH monitoring. Results Besides dysphagia, the symptom scores of heartburn, acid regurgitation and retrosternal pain in BE groups were lower than those in RE groups (P 0. 05). Objective To compare the prognoses in pregnancy women receiving routine perineal shaving and non perineal shaving before vaginal delivery through meta analysis.Methods The randomized controlled trials or non-randomized controlled trials for comparing the prognoses in pregnancy women receiving routine perineal shaving and non perineal shaving before vaginal delivery were retrieved from databases,including Cochrane Library,PubMed,EMbase,SCI,Ovid,CBM,Wanfang,VIP and CNKI,till December 2015.The studies were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,and the data were extracted and evaluated by two reviewers independently.The Meta-analysis was conducted via RevMan 5.2.6 software.Results A total of 6 studies (including three articles in English and three ones in Chinese) including 1 924 delivery women were included,1 083 cases in the perineal shaving group and 841 cases in the non perineal shaving group.No statistically significant difference was found in the incidence rate of fever after delivery between the perineal shaving group and the non perineal shaving group[Z=0.57,P=0.57,RR=1.14,95 ％ CI(0.73,1.76)],and there was no statistically significant difference in post-operative wound infection between the two groups [Z=0.43,P=0.66,RR=1.11,95％CI(0.69,1.78)].Conclusion Perineal shaving may be not an essential nursing intervention before vaginal delivery.

8 mg/L). The rdxA gene fragment (886 bp) of H. pylori was amplified by PCR and then sequenced. Finally polymorphism analysis was performed in the rdxA gene sequence from those strains resistant or susceptible to Mtz and standard strains H.pylori 26695. Results A total of 47 H.pylori strains were isolated from 51 patients positive for rapid urease test. Mtz resistance rate was 34% by E-test method and 31.9% by breakpoint susceptibility testing. Among them 15 strains were resistant to Mtz by the two tests. The rdxA genes of both 15 strains resistant to Mtz and 8 strains susceptible to Mtz were sequenced. Compared with that of strain H.pylori 26695, the sequence of rdxA gene nucleotide in 15 H.pyloristrains resistant to Mtz showed similarity ranging from 90% to 95% and being 92.5% on average, and the sequence of rdxA gene nucleotide in susceptible strains showed similarity ranging from 94% to 95% and being 94.5% on average. In most resistant strains, the rdxA genes occurred point mutation, single nucleotide insertion or deletion, however, the insertion or deletion of large nucleotide fragment were rare, and mutational site were variable. Conclusions The rdxA gene mutation in H.pylori strains resistant to Mtz may result from point mutations in several bases or insertional mutations or deletional mutations in one base, without insertion or deletion of large neuclectide fragment, and mutational position being variable.

Objective To construct pSUPER-ARPC2 vector and to obtain its expression in eukaryotic cell, in order to down-regulate the expression of ARPC2. Methods Oligonucleotide sequences specific for ARPC2 were designed for RNAi, and cloned into pSUPER.basic vector after annealing by restriction enzyme digestion and ligation. After identification by restriction enzyme digestion and sequencing, the plasmid of positive clones was transfected into HEK 293 cells for three times. The expression of ARPC2 was detected by RT-PCR and Western blot. Results It was found that the expression of ARPC2 was definitely knocked down by transfection with pSUPER-ARPC2. Conclusions The RNAi expression vector of ARPC2 was constructed successfully, which was showed to possess the ability to knockdown the expression of ARPC2 by different methods. So, pSUPER-ARPC2 should be a powerful tool in the study of function of ARPC2.

This study was aimed to simultaneously determinate the content of naringin, hesperidin and atractylodin in Y un-Pi (YP) Powder extract by HPLC. A Thermo ODS-2 column (250 mm í 4.6 mm, 5 μm) was used for the gra-dient elution with a methanol-water of 0~5 min (30%~40% A), 5~15 min (40%~50% A), 15~20 min (50%~79%A), 20~30 min (79%~100% A), 30~45 min (100% A), 45~55 min (100%~30% A), 55~60 min (30% A). The col-umn temperature was at 30℃. The detection wavelength was at 283 nm. The flow rate was 1 mL·min-1. The linear range was determined to be 0.009 16~0.137 00 μg (r = 0.999 9), 0.006 22~0.091 30 μg (r = 0.999 8), 0.003 58~0.053 70 μg (r = 0.999 9), respectively for naringin, hesperidin and atractylodin. The average recovery rate of pterodontic acid was 103.51%, 96.82% and 97.65%. And RSD was 1.37%, 1.41%, 1.49% (n = 6). It was concluded that the method had good specificity and repeatability. It was considered as a good tool for the content determination of naringin, hesperidin and atractylodin in YP Powder extract.

Objective To investigate the effect of telephone call follow-up on compliance with opening-mouth exercises among nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)patients with radiotherapy-induced difficulty in opening mouth.Methods Sixty four nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients undergoing radiotherapy were randomized into control group(n=31)and observation group(n=31).The former group was given health education and instructions for functional exercises of opening mouth at discharge and regular return visits after discharge,and the observation group received regular telephone call follow-ups by an appointed nurse besides the same treatment as in the control group.The two groups were compared in regard to the compliance with the exercises of opening mouth and the incidences of difficulties in opening mouth at the first and second years after discharge. Results The compliance of the observation group was significantly higher that in the control group(P<0.01).The incidences of difficulties in opening mouth in the observation group were significantly smaller than that in those of the control at the first and second years after discharge(P<0.01). Conclusion Telephone call follow-ups are effective in the improvement of compliance of functional exercises in NPC patients with radiotherapy-induced difficulty in opening mouth,the reduction of the incidence of mouth-opening problems and the improvement of their quality of life.

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of alcoholic severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). Methods Clinical data of 166 cases of SAP in Fujian Provincial Hospital from January 2001 to December 2008 were collected and analyzed retrospectively. Cases were divided into alcoholic SAP group (43cases) and control group ( 123 cases) depending on deoholic intake volue whithin 12～48 hours. Age, gender,CT scores, APACHE Ⅱ score, serum glucose, serum triglyceride (TG), serum calcium, serum albumin,morbidity, later infection rate and mortality rate of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in terms of age, but the proportion of male in alcoholic SAP group (39/43) was higher than that in control group (58/123, P<0.01 ). CT score, serum glucose and calcium were not significantly different between the two groups. The APACHEⅡ score and serum TG in alcoholic SAP group [19.16±5.38,(5.06±4.03)mmol/L] were significantly higher than those in control group [16.02±5.09, (3.12±2.95)mmol/L]. The albumenjolevel in alcoholic SAP group (25.23±7.12)g/L) was lower than that in control group [(30.68±8.35 ) g/L, P<0.01]. The incidences of ARDS and upper gastroenterologic bleeding were not significantly different between the two groups. But the incidences of acute kidney failure (44.2%), liver failure (41.9%), heart failure (37.2%), shock (39.5%), infection (27.9%) and mortality (30.2%) in alcoholic SAP were significantly higher than those in control group (26.0%,30.9%, 20.3%, 16.3%,16.3%, 7.3%, P<0.05 or<0.01). Conclusions Males predominates alcoholic SAP patients with high mortality and morbidity. Alcohol abstinence is effective to prevent alcoholic SAP ocurrence.

Objective To explore the relationship of content of plasma endothelin(ET)-1 with the change of pulmonary function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Method Thirty cases of the normal people were as group A ,34 cases of the patients with COPD with acute exacerbation before treatment were as group B and the patients with remission period after treatment were as group C,the plasma ET-1,arterial blood gas and pulmonary function parameters were determined from the patients before and after treatment.Results The plasma ET-1 in group B and group C were significantly higher than that in group A,the content of the plasma ET-1 had negatively correlated with PaO2,and that had positively correlated with PaCO2,P＜0.01.The pulmonary function parameters (VC,FEV1/FVC,MVV,V50 V25)in group B were significantly lower than those in group A and group C[(55.3±24.5)%,(54.8±19.3)%,(54.2±16.2)%,(54,8±9,9)%,(58.7±14.5)%;(114.8±24.1)%,(84.9±21.6)%,(86.4±17.2)%,(78.5±14.8)%,(90.3±15.4)% and (110.1±19.4)%,(85.8±15.5)%,(85.9±16.7)%,(74.5±13.4)%,(89.4±18.6)%,respectively],P＜0.01.Conclusion Pathophysiological effects of patients with COPD can be commonly adjusted by the plasma ET-1,oxygen and carbon dioxide retention,which affect pulmonary function.

Objective To explore a new approach that is better than coronal scalp incision and facial percutaneous small incision in surgical treatment of zygomatic bone and zygomatic arch fracture.Methods The modified auriculotemporal incision was applied in 43 patients with zygomatic bone and zygomatic arch fracture that needed open reposition,and the exposure degree,bleeding,postoperative elasticity and texture of skin,facial nerve function and satisfactory degree were evaluated after operation.Results In present study,the upper part of zygomatic arch and lateral orbital margin could be greatly explored for operation of zygomatic bone and zygomatic arch fracture in all 43 patients by application of this approach.Less bleeding was observed during operation.All patients had primary healing and none of them presented with temporal numbness and facial palsy.After 6 months follow-up,41 cases (95.3％) and 43 cases (100％) showed fine elasticity of operative skin and satisfactory degree,respectively.Conclusions The modified auriculotemporal incision is better than conventional approach in surgical treatment of zygomatic bone and zygomaticarch fracture.
